Way To The Heavens 12 Strongest In The Academy

The battle only lasted for a few seconds but in those few seconds, w.a.n.g Wei and his friends absolutely annihilated their opponents. With this victory, everybody now knows that they are the three strongest in the academy.

"w.a.n.g Wei, can I speak with you for a minute?" It was Li Yun who asked this.

"Sure." w.a.n.g Wei said as he walked over.

"Not here follow me."

After following Li Yun for a few minutes w.a.n.g Wei found himself in a green forest closed off from the rest of the world.

"What is it that you wanted to talk to me about teacher?"

"What is up with only being able to use your paralysis eyes for one second. You were even able to paralyze me! A soul warrior. For a whole second and you're telling me you can't even paralyze three chi apprentices longer than that. How is that possible?"

"It's not that I can't it's that I choose not to. Long Yue and I thought about it and we are only going to train what people already know about us in public. Our soul techniques are the only things that we will train in secret so that we can surprise everyone at the tournament. That way no-one has any information about our soul techniques and have to deal with them on the spot." w.a.n.g Wei calmly replied.

"I see. That is actually a pretty good idea. And also I know you have two individual techniques that are on par with soul techniques. Given that information could you maybe help Lee Zheng create some individual techniques?"

"I'm sorry teacher but individual techniques can only be created by oneself. I can, however, give him some information as for how to create one but the rest is up to him. I am not even sure he can perfect his individual technique before the tournament. I mean I created mine in a few hours and perfected it to where it is now in a few years. It took Long Yue days to even create one and he is an extraordinary soul expert. I think it will take Lee Zheng a month or so to even create one let alone perfect it. It would be awesome and handy if he could use it by the time the tournament started, but I highly doubt he will be able to."

"Don't you worry about that I'm pretty sure he will pull through if you just tell him what to do I think it'll be just fine."

"Okay, teacher."

For the next three months w.a.n.g Wei, Long Yue, and Lee Zheng trained like crazy. They would attend school together and after that run over to Long Yue' family dojo and train martial arts and their individual and soul techniques. At night they would each cultivate on their own. This was the only time the three were apart.

After three grueling months of training, the three were finally getting ready to depart to the tournament. They were gathered at the school gates together with Li Yun who would be in charge of the three young prodigies.

"Are you all ready?" Li Yun asked the three as she boarded the carriage which would take them to the tournament.

"Yes!" the three boys said in unison.

"Let's go to dusksh.o.r.e city!" w.a.n.g Wei roared.

"Yeah!" Long Yue and Lee Zheng cried out.

They left early in the morning and the entire academy was there to see them off. The ride to dusksh.o.r.e city took about ten hours but with the few breaks they took, they arrived at dusk.

"Wow, so this is dusksh.o.r.e city. It's beautiful." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"Yes, it is." Li Yun replied. "This city's most beautiful feature is the seash.o.r.e at dusk. Hence the name dusksh.o.r.e city. Do you see that colosseum? That is the place where the tournament will be held. Only the strongest of each academy will be partic.i.p.ating. This might discourage you but you three are three little geniuses so I expect you will at least achieve top eight in each tournament round. Lee Zheng won't be partic.i.p.ating in the solo tournament so that is one rival less. I am really interested in seeing you and Long Yue fight each other. You will be in different brackets so the only way you get to face each other is if you both get to the finals which I think you will be able to."

"Thanks, but won't there be other geniuses from other schools as well. I think it won't be so easy." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"Of course there are other geniuses but you three are something else. Two of you have soul jewels older than a thousand year and one of you has a nine-hundred-years-old soul jewel. On top of that, you each have amazing individual techniques and you have had so many practice matches in the last three months your combat experience is much higher than that of ordinary people your age."

"Thanks, teacher. Talking to you like this has put my heart at ease. Let's find a hotel we can stay in and sleep because tomorrow is the big day."

"You're right. You three should get a good nights rest."

As the group arrived in dusksh.o.r.e city they went to the hotel nearest to the coliseum. That way they could go right to the coliseum when they woke up.

"Hey, w.a.n.g Wei. You couldn't sleep either?" It was Long Yue who said this. They were both in the lobby downstairs.

"No. Do you realize? We're at a tournament with the best of the best. Who would've thought? Remember way back when we first sparred each other and both showed our individual technique. How far we have come." w.a.n.g Wei said while staring out of a window looking at the night sky.

"Yeah, I still remember that was the day I decided I was going to be your best friend forever. We really have come a long way huh. Anyway let's go back to the room and at least try and get some rest. Tomorrow we have three fights. One in each category."

"Yeah, you're right. See you tomorrow."
