Way To The Heavens 5 Final Year

After six years of cultivating and training martial arts. w.a.n.g Wei and Long Yue are finally attending their seventh year in the academy.

Two pretty boys walked through the gates of the school one slightly more pretty than the other, he had beautiful brown eyes with long eyelashes and beautiful brown hair. It was w.a.n.g Wei and next to him was Long Yue. They were famous in the entire academy for their flawless teamwork in battles that they've shown in the past six years on top of that they were the prettiest boys.

"w.a.n.g Wei, we're starting our last year in the academy do you think you'll catch up to me this year and cultivate to rank ten and become a chi apprentice?" Long Yue said.

"I don't know. Will you be able to catch up and defeat me in a sparring session, hehe." w.a.n.g Wei calmly replied.

As they walked into the cla.s.sroom they were greeted by their teacher Li Yun. "h.e.l.lo, boys I have some great news for the two of you." She said with a warm smile on her face. "h.e.l.lo teacher, what are you talking about?" w.a.n.g Wei asked.

Li Yun had a big smile on her face and started explaining. "I have signed you two up for the inter-academy soul expert compet.i.tion. You do have a chance to fight older soul experts however this is a great opportunity for you guys. You can get scouted by major advanced academy's. This compet.i.tion will take place in six months and Long Yue since you have already reached rank 10 I am planning to escort you to the holy valley south of town so you can hunt for a soul beast to obtain your first soul jewel. I will take you and the few others that have reached rank 10 in three months." She then turned to w.a.n.g Wei. "I know you are at the bottleneck of rank nine. That alone is amazing since your soul form is the red snake. It is less easy to cultivate and yet you are only one step behind the top tier soul forms in our cla.s.s. If only you had a powerful soul form, who knows what rank you would be at. If you manage to cultivate to rank 10 before we go to the holy valley you can come of course. But because you have the red snake soul form you can also choose the expedition to the unholy caverns or the monster valley which is home to both holy and unholy soul beasts. But that is only if you reach rank ten."

"Yes, teacher they both replied as they walked towards their seats.

After cla.s.ses as they headed straight for the dojo to continue practicing their martial arts and individual techniques. w.a.n.g Wei had already perfected his snake claws and already has some ideas as to how he will make his snake claws even more powerful. If he can create a little bit of immobilizing poison at the tip of his claws it will be much stronger but his soul form the red snake isn't poisonous so it is no use to think about that. However, since he perfected his snake claws he is now working on a different technique which he calls defensive scales. It is a technique that covers his arms with red snake scales and makes them much st.u.r.dier. This way he has a way of defending instead of always evading and running away. Long Yue also perfected his holy claws and he expanded his technique instead of creating a new one. He could now transform his feet into claws which didn't increase his attack power but instead raised his speed he was now much faster than before. Ordinary people would now have a lot of trouble keeping track of Long Yue if he used his ultimate speed.

Not only did their individual techniques improve but their martial art skills also improved by leaps and bounds. They could now occasionally defeat an ordinary person that was an expert in Jong martial arts without using their soul forms or individual skills.

And because this happened occasionally of course word would get out and by now after six years. They are the superstars of victory village. Everyone holds the two in high regards and respects them because they are most likely to reach a high rank in the world of soul experts.

At the end of the day, w.a.n.g Wei returned home and started cultivating in his room. But he couldn't concentrate over there so he went and searched for a quiet place somewhere outside of his house eventually he found a little forest that was not too big. He remembered that his teacher told him that certain habitats could enhance the speed of cultivation for certain soul forms, for example, a soul expert with a soul form that is related to the ocean would cultivate soul energy faster at the seash.o.r.e than he would if he was in a forest. He went to the small forest next to his neighbourhood. He could feel his soul relax so he decided to sit down and start cultivating.

The next morning he woke up and felt different he felt as if he was a step closer to rank ten. He was still far away from it but cultivating in the forest definitely helped. He decided that from now on he would cultivate in this forest every night since his soul energy would increase like never before.

As he decided this he continued on with his morning routine. He then went to school and in the afternoon he practiced martial arts. In the evening he would return to the forest to cultivate and each time he did that he could feel that he was getting closer and closer to rank ten and the t.i.tle of chi apprentice.

Before he knew it almost three months pa.s.sed and it was the night before the expedition.
