Way To The Heavens 7 Holy Valley

In a peaceful forest in the holy valley. Two figures flew past the trees.

"Hey, w.a.n.g Wei! Try to keep up okay? Hahaha."

"Don't you worry about me, Long Yue. Just watch in front of you so you won't run into a tree."

The two figures were w.a.n.g Wei and Long Yue. They were traveling deeper and deeper into the valley in search of a strong holy spirit beast that was at least a thousand years old. They were in search of a solid yellow spirit stone because that was all they could handle if they were to go for a lighter yellow stone they would die or get hurt real bad trying to integrate with it.

"What kind of spirit beast are you looking for Long Yue?" w.a.n.g Wei asked.

"I am looking for a predator type soul beast because I have the holy leopard as soul form I am looking for a predator soul beast that will give me a strong attacking soul technique. If I get a strong attack I will defeat you for sure. Also, we will be able to dominate the inter-academy soul expert compet.i.tion. I think I won't even need you if I get my hands on a strong attacking soul technique."

"Are you sure about that? What if I also get a strong attacking technique." w.a.n.g Wei replied calmly.

"You don't need one. You already have snake claws and defensive scales. Even if an individual technique is a little inferior to a soul technique you have perfected yours so I think your individual technique is actually as strong as a soul technique. My individual technique helps me with speed but I still lack attacking power. I don't need defense as long as I have my speed for now so I don't really focus on that. I think you should go for a soul technique that will grant you speed, stealth or control."

"Yeah, you're probably right but I don't think I have perfected my individual techniques it still takes two seconds for the claws and scales to manifest. I will train until they manifest within a heartbeat. Only then will I think of them as perfect it's not that I don't think my individual techniques are bad. It's just that I don't think there is always a way to improve."

"Okay sure but I think you should go for a more cunning soul beast like the thunderstrike snake. It's strong and it has a lightning elemental attribute so it's definitely a strong opponent and it won't be that hard to find one that is a thousand years old. But since we are hunting for thousand-year-old spirit beasts I think that we have to help each other killing them. Of course, the final strike will go to the person that wants the soul jewel of the beast but that is pretty obvious."

"Okay, I think I will go for that one then. If I listen to what you want I think you should go for a crimson lion. You may not have the same attribute but since it is a holy spirit beast and you have the holy attribute you won't have the elemental attribute problem. As for me, I have the red snake soul form. The red snake is like a white canvas. It doesn't have an elemental attribute so I don't really have that problem either. As for working together on killing the soul beasts, it will not only increase our chances of obtaining a soul jewel it will also help with our coordination in battle I know we have trained together for all those years and sparred against strong opponents but as I just said those were just sparring battles. In the upcoming compet.i.tion, it won't be a sparring battle they will come after us with all they've got. The soul beasts will do the same so it will help us with quick decisions in dire situations. Because out here it could mean life or death especially since we are going after thousand-year-old soul beasts."

"You're right. We can't see any of the upcoming battles as all of our previous battles not here and not at the compet.i.tion. I suggest that when we get out of here we will train our hardest and master our soul technique as best as we can in three months."

Back at the base camp

'I wonder how those two are doing' Li Yun thought to herself.

"Teacher Li Yun?" Lee Zheng called out. "We are ready to set out and go hunt for soul beasts the other teachers told me to come and get you... Were you thinking about w.a.n.g Wei and Long Yue? I have also been thinking about them but I don't think they will encounter any trouble as long as they're together. They will have a bit of trouble actually getting the soul jewel they desire since they are going for a yellow one but if they work together I think they will be able to accomplish their goal." He said with a bitter smile on his face. 'Why can't I be as strong as they are.' he thought to himself.

Li Yun couldn't believe what she heard. 'Two students are going for a yellow soul jewel the first time they are hunting soul beasts! This has never happened before. I am interested to see if they will accomplish what they set out to do.'

"Yes, I think they will be able to do it." Li Yun answered to Lee Zheng. "Let's go. Your soul jewel isn't going to come to you out of free will. You will also have to fight for it. But you're in luck since we are going quite deep into the valley so even if you won't get a yellow soul jewel you will be able to get one that is light orange if you can handle that."

"Yes, teacher!" Lee Zheng said in return with a hopeful look in his eyes.
