"I really don't think we will be able to figure this out! It is pointless!" Melanie said as we followed behind Bob who was leading us to the front of the school. Everyone was gone. There wasn't any students walking around like usual and it made it all weird to us.

"Stop talking about it, Melanie!" Liam growled, "We should be worried about where Bob is taking us!"

"You should worry about the price tag still being on that jacket!" Mikey clapped back. Liam said something back which caused them all to argue with one another. Bob rolled his eyes but continued to walk as everyone argued over each other.

"He always has to open his mouth!" Liam yelled.

Can you all just shut the h.e.l.l up and just walk?

"You don't tell me what to do," Liam shot back at me.

I stopped walking, "You heard that?"

"We all heard you!" Sarah answered, "It was mind linked,"

"These doors are about to open and you are about to be photographed and broadcasted all over the world so put the arguments on pause and smile," Bob instructed.

"What?" Kasey asked. Before anyone could say anything else, Bob opened the doors to the school and we were immediately hit with cheers, cameras, and more. Mikey gasped before throwing his hands up and waving.

"Due to popular demand and the news of the Heroic 8, the gates to Zims have been opened. They close at 8 every night," Bob explained.

"Who are all of these people?" Melanie whispered while looking around in amazement.

"Your fans, the media, normal humans," Bob answered. He slowly backed away from us until he was out of sight leaving us standing on the stairs of the school in amazement. We listened to the shouts and questions as they were thrown out but none of us bothered to say anything.

We were shocked.

"How does it feel to be heroes?" Someone yelled.

Liam smiled softly at the lady who asked the question. We stared at him waiting for him to speak. He swallowed before stepping forward and addressing the crowd, "We are honored,"

"You haven't done much to earn the t.i.tle as heroes," I heard someone say. I looked around only to catch the attention of Melanie and Dillion who stared at me weirdly.

"What's wrong?" Dillion asked.

"Someone said something that wasn't the nicest," I replied.

"It's a crowd filled with not just mutants but humans too," Dillion chuckled, "I'm pretty sure there's some mean things being said,"

"No but this one was close," I replied as I looked back into the crowd.

"This way!" One of the photographers yelled.

"Liam!" Someone screamed, "You're the most popular one out of the eight so how is it dealing with the ladies?"

"Kasey, what was your reaction to being apart of this group? Has this always been planned?"

"What's so special about 8 little kids who know nothing about their own abilities," I heard the voice ask again. I moved away from Dillion and Melanie by stepping forward until I was standing next to Liam.

Liam looked down at me in confusion before placing a smile on his face and whispering, "What are you doing?"

"Are you two a couple?" Someone yelled.

"What's her name again?"

"She's number one," I heard the voice say. I gasped and continued to look around in the huge crowd. Liam noticed by change in att.i.tude and dropped his smile. He grabbed my wrist catching my attention.

"What is wrong?" He asked with a look of concern on his face.

"Something is right," I replied.

"Look up," The voice said again. I took my attention off of Liam before looking back in the crowd. I scanned until I laid eyes on a girl standing in the back. She wore a long grey coat with black sungla.s.ses and a huge black hat that hid most of her face. She smirked before waving her hand at me.

I clenched my jaw and linked her, "Why and how are you in my head?"

"Let's find out shall we?" She replied. Slowly, she began pus.h.i.+ng her way through the crowd catching the attention of many including my group of friends who stood behind me. I stepped forward as Liam grabbed my arm again.

"What are you doing?" He asked. I s.n.a.t.c.hed my arm away and continued down the stairs. She stopped directly at the edge of the steps and waiting for me to be in front of her. I stared at the long white high heeled boots that she wore before bringing my attention to her face. She s.n.a.t.c.hed the hat off showcasing her long black hair. She reached up and took the sungla.s.ses off causing me to gasp.

She looked exactly like me.

"Hi!" She greeted. I stared at her for a minute. We looked identical.

"What the h.e.l.l are you?" I asked.

She smirked before turning around to address the crowd, "All of these wonderful people are out here taking pictures of you and your wonderful friends! Everyone knows about the Heroic Eight so when I heard that the gates of Zims would be open to the public, I had to come and see my big sister and her friends in person!"

"Big sister?" I asked.

"Identical Twins born from the same womb and yes I'm younger since you popped out first," She revealed. I could hear the crowd gasp and the cameras going crazy as they stared at my sister and I.

"Where were you?"

She chuckled, "Home,"

"Where is home?" I asked.

"When we were born, we were separated. Don't think of our mom as a saint because that is the last thing that she was! You weren't supposed to make it so they announced the birth of me and me only! When they were told that you had made it, they were shocked but the news had already been out about one child. People didn't like me at the time simply because I was conceived by something forbidden so they didn't think I could ever rule!" She started.

"Rule? Rule what?" I asked.

She looked at me but ignored my question and continued, "The King of the Galaxy was upset when he realized what he had done but he knew it was his responsibility so he went back to Earth to go see his daughter only to find out that he wasn't allowed to see her. One year later, our mother died and you were left in the arms of her best friend. Little did our dear mother know, her best friend was sent by the King of the Galaxy to watch and protect the dear child! He was heartbroken when he found out that she had pa.s.sed away recently especially since he had talked to her a few weeks before and gave her that gold ring that you wear on your finger,"

"Are you saying what I think you are?" I whispered.

"Carter," She started, "The little girl was you and the King of the Galaxy is our father,"

"No," I whispered.

"I am not the heir to the throne which is why you wear the gold ring and everyone knows who you are and that you exist because it is no longer forbidden to have a relations.h.i.+p with a human," She finished.

"I have a brother!" I replied.

"He refused to come here! After he found out that his mom was dead, he stayed home,"

"His mom?"

"The woman that raised you is not your mom, Carter! Our mom died when we were babies! Our Father, who is the King of the Galaxy, sent her here to watch you and they also had a relations.h.i.+p with one another! When you were 2, you stayed here with your grandmother who is actually an elderly woman sent from our Father and that's when Maria went back home and they created our little annoying brother," She revealed.

"But we don't look like aliens," I mumbled.

She scoffed, "What are we supposed to look like? First off, you and I are half human. Second off, everything there looks the same down here except it doesn't smell weird there,"

Mikey cleared his throat, "Sorry about that,"

Ew.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Diana," She replied.

"Okay," I whispered as I continued to stare at the girl who looked so much like me that I could've sworn that I was looking in a mirror.

Diana turned back to face the crowd as their cameras went wild, "This girl here is more powerful than you think so stop treating her as an outsider!" She yelled. She looked at me again and smiled softly, "Her Majesty, shall we be leaving now?"

"Her Majesty?" I heard people ask as they gasped. Diana rolled her eyes.

"I cannot leave," I whispered.

She walked over until she stood next to me. I stared ahead as she smiled at the crowd. I knew she was about to send me a mind link so I prepared myself for whatever it was that she was about to tell me.

"I know that you have things here you need to finish so I'll stay around until you're ready to go but you are heir to the throne so you have no choice but to go back sooner or later," She said. I looked at her as she smiled at the cameras before turning my attention forward and smiling.

The rest of the crew smiled for the press as well before we all turned around and made our way back inside of the school except this time my sister was with me. Bob closed the doors softly before making his way ahead of us again. I caught his side eye at Diana though. Mikey walked over to Diana and began speaking to her and they walked ahead of me as I followed behind them slowly.

"Carter," I heard someone say. I looked up to see John walking beside me. I smiled at him softly.

"Hi,"

"I'm saying this to you now before it is too late," He started, "You're in the past to fix what happened and to figure out what went wrong that is causing the events in the present so do not push your sister away!"

"What?"

"Do not push her away, Carter!" He said, "Not again,"
