Ball Master 8 Chapter 8: The Blur..

The game will begin at three-thirty in the afternoon, then after is a NBA game in the evening. The NCAA game is not important as NBA game coz this is the Lakers home, a three-peat champion from 2000-2002.

In California area, UCLA Bruins are more popular than the Caltech Beavers. Although both are excellent universities in U.S., Caltech's academic level is higher but UCLA's basketball in better. Therefore the sound of cheering will be much louder for UCLA than Caltech.

This makes Jayson unhappy due to after the visit in Lakers locker room when Kobe Bryant signed his basketball and asked.

"What are you doing to my ball? This is the lucky ball my sister gave!" Jayson widened his eyes and look at Kobe Bryant.

This made Kobe Bryant stunned and paralyze. He's not good at dealing this embarra.s.sing moment, so he pretend and walk away.

"Yah!!..." Jayson was following behind and needs explanation from him.

Then he heard his teammate calling him: "Jay..., Jayson we need to go to the venue to train"

"Hey Coach Olivia!!" pointing at Kobe Bryant and said: This guy is uncivilized; I didn't give my consent to sign my basketball. This lucky ball was given to me by my sister and Avril" Jayson said.

At the start, the Bruins have the advantage both offensive and defensive side. Their playing style has already matured from Mr. John Wooden era it made. After half the first quarter, the offensive play was 1-4, Jordan Farmar was at the top of the three point line and four other are waiting inside in a straight line. While the Beavers system was isn't mature and Coach Olivia just took over less than two seasons. The gap of the two in terms of basketball knowledge is too big and UCLA big man are over two meters can easily get rebounds and Beavers center Traviss Haussler is only six feet seven inches and too soft.

Jayson even saw a blonde girl holding a cardboard in the UCLA fan area on the sidelines is: "Traviss, you're softer than my chest"

Now that Jason Kapono and Jordan Farmar are back on court and Matthew is being drag to a huge maze. This consumes Matthew energy both on offense and defense, if only he have helper in scoring and defending Jason Kapono and Jordan Farmar.

Coach Olivia called him: "Jason, I will give at least five minutes, you must not lose more point and contain both Jason Kapono and Jordan Farmar, you understand?"

"You just have to follow me and run a fast break away, don't worry about those tactics" Jayson replied, he was lazy to explain the whole thing.

When he reaches the three-point line, a Bruins player hurriedly tried to defend him. Coach Olivia seeing that Jayson couldn't stop his track, she closed her eyes and expected the collision of the two. She opens her eyes and that Matthew was hanging above the rim of the Bruins.

"What happen just now?" Coach Olivia asks.

"Jayson completed a wonderful pa.s.s to Matthew under the Bruins player's, and then he made a dunk in the unguarded restricted area." Han Bin replied.

Coach Olivia interrupted him: "Okay, let see what happen on the screen"

She looks up at the big screen above, it playing back the play... Jayson was like lighting at Bruins power forward and everyone thought that he'll be hit and knocked down by the bigger player.

But before he was about to hit, he turned-over himself and made a bounce pa.s.s to Matthew who just arrive in the restricted area and finish it with a one handed dunk.

As an inside big man Traviss useless against UCLA but he has a good three-point shooting.

"Hey kid, do you dare to talk to me one-one?" Jayson heard an awkward voice.

Jayson isn't stupid to waste time to this guy. As a result Jordan Farmar is even angrier.

"Ryan, this guy is your a.s.signment so finish him" Jayson said to Ryan Elmquist, who does excitedly go to Jordan Farmar.
