This was the first time Xiao Jun and Qianru came to visit Xiao Tianyao after what had happened to him.
It has been almost two months since Luna's death and, based on the news that they constantly received, Xiao Tianyao had been looking for someone named Gong Xu.
Gong Xu was Luna's brother, but also the person, who Xiao Tianyao a.s.sumed, had killed Luna.
For these past two months he had made a drastically change and had challenged the Emperor for many times, and because of his credit for winning the war and took down Rockstone Kingdom and Zodasian Kingdom's army, Xiao Zi couldn't openly reject all of his demand, especially when Xiao Tianyao had Azura's people as his back up.
Meanwhile Xiao Jun needed two more months to recuperate and only then he went to the capital city, of course the very first person that he wanted to see was his brother.
There were many things that he had heard during these two months, such as, Xiao Tianyao had created his own guards that was called; Crescent Moon, the name that Xiao Tianyao took as a commemorate for Luna, his deceased wife.
Xiao Tianyao trained the members of Crescent Moon by his own and from what Xiao Jun heard the training wasn't something that soft hearted people could take it.
From Yang Yu's appearance, Xiao Jun could see how hard the training that he had been going through, especially when he became the leader of it.
"Where is my brother?" Xiao Jun asked calmly, but this would be the first time they would talk with each other after long time.
"Master is in his study room, over here please." Yang Yu said politely and guided the two of them to the different direction.
Along the hallway, there was no one who wanted to break the silence as they were in deep thought of their own matter.
When they arrived in front of the study room's door, Qianru tugged Xiao Jun's sleeves.
"I think it will be better if you have your alone conversation with him first, there must be many things that you wanted to say to him right." Qianru suggested. "I will look for Xiao Mugi, I have never visited him since he was born." Qianru was really regretting that fact.
Xiao Jun understood what Qianru's intention. "Alright." He said.
And with that Qianru left with Yang Yu to look for Xiao Mugi, who was now under his wet nurse's surveillance all the time as Xiao Tianyao was too busy to care for him.
Qianru didn't like this when she heard the news, Xiao Tianyao shouldn't neglect his own son, no matter what the situation.
And she also felt pity on the little boy, only if her child survived, they could be a friend. Her child would be in the same age as Xiao Mugi now.
In the other hand, Xiao Jun was standing on the same spot for long time before he knocked the door, something that he rarely had done before. This way was too polite for both of them, but Xiao Jun didn't know how to behave in front of his brother.
It felt very awkward, moreover to think about how they parted the last time they saw each other, that wasn't a good memory either.
There was a reply from inside the room as Xiao Tianyao's voice could be heard.
Xiao Jun chuckled lightly to himself for being so weird toward his own brother, in the past, he would just casually enter his room without saying a thing, however now, he actually needed his permission before he could step in.
How time has changed everything that he knew…
Inside the room, Xiao Tianyao perused the secret missive in his hand as he didn't see who had come, he thought it was Yang Yu who would report something to him.
Xiao Tianyao wasn't aware about Qianru and Xiao Jun's visit. After Luna's death, he had been focusing all of his attention on looking for a man named Gong Xu. He knew about Xiao Jun's injuries, but he heard he had woken up and Qianru was helping him to recuperate, hence there was nothing to be worried about.
"Tianyao." Xiao Jun called his brother as he strode inside the room.
Only then, Xiao Tianyao put down the secret report that he had been reading only to find out his brother was standing right before him.
"Jun." Xiao Tianyao remarked, there was a bit of shock in his eyes, however there was nothing more than that, as if Xiao Jun's visit was merely unexpected visit, nothing more. "What are you doing there?" Xiao Tianyao's shock expression turned a bit annoyed upon seeing Xiao Jun didn't move from his spot.
"What?" Xiao Jun locked his brows together tightly, didn't understand with Xiao Tianyao's att.i.tude.
Did he forget everything that what had done between them? Why he was so casual when he met him?
"Don't just standing there and staring at me like that, that's annoying." Xiao Tianyao flicked his sleeves nonchalantly while continuing what he did before.
Xiao Jun actually had heard that Xiao Tianyao's behavior had changed and he seemed like someone who had lost some of his memories, there was something different in him, but Xiao Jun wasn't able to point out what it was.
Xiao Tianyao glanced at Xiao Jun, who was still in the same position. "How is your wound? Are you recover well?" He asked.
"Yes, I am." Xiao Jun blinked his eyes in confusion, there was something wrong with his brother. "Tianyao, are you alright?" He asked in concern.
Xiao Tianyao didn't understand with Xiao Jun's question, it was him who had been injured, but why he was the one who asked him that way?
He looked his brother, as he didn't know why he acted that way. "I am totally fine." And then Xiao Tianyao sighed. "I am sorry for make you worry, but I am fine."
Xiao Jun kept staring at Xiao Tianyao. Did he really forget? "You don't look fine for me."
"Losing Luna was a great deal, I know." Xiao Tianyao put down the secret report in his hand and stood up to walk over toward his brother. "But, I am still me. I will find the person who had killed her and make his life worse than death."
Xiao Jun didn't talk about that, he was glad that Xiao Tianyao didn't bring up the matter last time, but he was acting very strange and he couldn't help but wanted to know whether his brother remembered the thing that had made them having a discord last time.
Xiao Tianyao wasn't a person who was holding a grudge toward Xiao Jun, but for him to act like this, was something that not normal in Xiao Jun's eyes.
"Tianyao, do you remember the last time we were having a conversation?" Xiao Jun remarked, he was referring to the night when he tried to kill Luna.
Xiao Tianyao didn't immediately answer Xiao Jun's question, but he asked him instead. "What conversation? Was the topic so important?"
