Cool I Got Super Powers And All, But I Don't Think I Deserve Them 10 Let The Hunt Commence

"No way! I can't go against that guy." Kanton quickly said.

"What's the matter, boy? Scared of losing?" Anami taunted him.

"Not that, but according to some rumors; He likes to torture his victims and I even heard that he beat up his whole older school and that's why he's transferred to here." Kanton said in a terrified tone.

I stood up and sat down on the chair again and said

"I agree with Kanton, I don't like the guy either. But not for the reasons he stated. He's the d.a.m.n reason I have these powers. I walked into the guy beating up some poor soul and that poor soul decided to give me the Kaito powers."

Anami laughed in her comfy chair and said

"The more reason to send you, do you know how much pleasure I'm going to get while imagining you guys getting beaten up by the guy."

Kanton looked at Anami with a terrified look on his face, he asked

"Wait… Are you going to do 'that' while thinking about it?"

Anami thought about it, nodded, and said

"Yeah, probably. I mean, who wouldn't in a situation like that."

Narino, Kanton, and I looked at Anami in horror

"I know it's not my place to judge you… But that's a bit f.u.c.ked." I said while unwillingly imagining the situation.

"Look, I told you humans suck." Kanton said

"President… I don't know if I can respect you anymore. I mean doing 'that' is of course okay. But while imagining us getting tortured, feels a bit off."

Anami looked at us with a weird look, she said

"Why are you looking at me like that? I'm going to dance and sing while imagining it, Of course I'm allowed to do that. You dance and sing when you're happy."

Upon hearing that, I got a sense of relief and irritation, I exclaimed

"No, I will not accept that! After everything you've done to me, you're not allowed to be that innocent! Give me back my free time!"

I got a tear in my eye after the powerful speech.

The other two also got a sense of relief upon hearing it.

"Shut up, now go do your job."

Kanton and I stayed silent while Narino said

"Yes, ma'am!"

Kenjiro, Kanton, and Narino were sitting in the cafeteria. There were some people there, just hanging out. While some people stared at the strange trio with interest, most people didn't care and ignored them.

"So, what's our strategy?" Narino asked.

Kenjiro started rubbing his chin while thinking through what he remembered of the guy. Kanton just sat in a casual position, like it didn't even have an effect on him. But on the inside, the stress level was going up and up. His thought process went

- We have to be smart about this. A strong guy like this who hasn't been caught yet is a big threat for 3 people to take on. I don't even want to face him one on one, so I think the best course of action is some sort of trap. -

"We should definitely try and set up some sort of trap." Kanton suggested to the group. Kenjiro was having his own thoughts

- Let's see. I remember that the fight was incredibly fast-paced and I could barely keep up. But I have to remember! Think, Think!-

"Well, that sounds like a reasonable thing. Do you have any specific ideas?" Narino asked Kanton.

Kanton thought about it for a second and then responded

"Well, if we're going to make a good trap; It needs to be individual. So we need to know what kind of powers he has."

The both of them looked at Kenjiro with a 'Well…?' kind of look on their faces. Kenjiro thought for a couple of seconds and finally remembered something.

"I remember something. I was very confused at the moment, so my memory is in shambles. But I remember seeing some blue stuff coming out of his hand. I'm thinking his primary powers are either Water or Ice."

"That's bad news. I don't think we have any direct counters to Water. If it's Ice we could technically use fire to melt it but that's a big risk because if it turns out he has Water, we're screwed." Narino commented.

"True… But before we start planning, I need to get a general sense of your powers."

"Well, I'm mostly a support Kaito user due to personal reasons. So I have a bunch of support powers like Strength boost, Stamina boost and stuff like that." Narino answered.

"I barely have anything. I was recently, unwillingly, made a Kaito User. So I spent my first points on the Manga/Anime-style skill. I do however have some weird 'Power stealing through damage' skill" Kenjiro answered in a guilty voice.

"My powers revolve around Martial arts kicks that get some extra power. I probably got them because I've always been interested in Anime protagonists who exercise martial arts, I mean the Kaito Powers you get are supposed to reflect who you are, who you are destined to be, and who you want to be.

So basically, we have one support, one fighter and one… Leech."

Kanton a.n.a.lyzed and was looking at Kenjiro with a smile.

"Yes, I agree. So moving on---" Kenjiro tried to talk but got interrupted by Narino who said

"At least comment something. I just feel bad for you right now."

Kenjiro laughed and said

"The truth is the truth, whether I like it or not. Back to what I was going to say. I have a plan for me to not be quite as worthless in this mission, don't worry I still hate myself."

Kenjiro started explaining his plan to the others and was quite into it while he did.

After 10 minutes of going through the plan and discussing some things, the trio was finished with the first plan of the mission.

"You know what, it's risky. But I feel like it's something worth trying, don't you agree Narino?" Kanton said while looking at Narino in an excited way

"Sure, I feel like it has some reasonable chances to work. It's impossible for Kori to predict something like that." Narino said in a calm and collected tone.

"Perfect. Then, Let the hunt commence tomorrow!" Kenjiro said loudly.

"Mom, we're totally having Curry tonight" A certain man said to his mother who was in the kitchen.

"If that's what you want tonight, I'll make it, Kori."

"Nice!" Kori walked away with a pleased look on his face. He thought

- Man, that was really fun earlier today! I can't wait to do it again tomorrow. I've been having a blast ever since I got these weird powers over in China. But sometimes I still wonder, why do I enjoy doing these things? I understand it's pretty bad for me to enjoy beating up these people and all, but I always have so much fun while doing it. Well, I guess it's fine since I'm not killing anyone, nor do I intend on.

For some reason, I kind of feel like playing some video games now… -

Kori ended his thought-monologue and walked down the stairs to his room in the bas.e.m.e.nt. On his desk, there was a pile of unfinished homework. When Kori caught sight of the pile, he threw the papers down to the floor in irritation.

He wiped his PX4 clean with a wet tissue and turned it on carefully.

When he picked up his controller, he suddenly got a phone call.

Yet another wave of irritation flew into him, but he decided to put down his controller carefully.

"Who is it, what do you want?" Kori asked in a not-so-polite manner.

"That's a bit unfriendly, isn't it? You know who I am." The person on the other side responded.

"Oh, it's you, eh… Kurohito, right?" Kori said in a hesitant way.

"I told you to call me 'Boss' because that's what I am to you! This phone call could be wiretapped for all you know." The voice said, angrily.

"I get it, calm down. So, what do you want?" Kori asked after a quick chuckle.

"Well, it's actually about that. Some of my henchmen have gotten the info that some witnesses have reported you to the Magical Arts Club. I just called to say that you should probably be on high alert." The voice warned him.

"Magical Arts Club… The one with the crazy president? What harm could they do?"

Kori wondered.

"I wouldn't underestimate, they may have some questionable people but they do have some competence. I also heard that they got a new recruit with some crazy mentality."

The voice said.

"Wait could it be…? Could you explain how the new recruit looks like?" Kori asked the 'Boss'.

"Okay. This is only what I've heard, so it may not be correct. Apparently, he has red hair resting to his left side, emerald eyes and, according to some girls, a 'Pretty face'. Not really related but when my henchman asked the girls why they didn't talk to him, they said 'He may be pretty but he acts really weirdly. He also apparently has some weird mentality. That makes it a bit hard to approach him.'" The voice explained, and like a light bulb; Kori suddenly got a shock of knowledge.

"I know that guy! I met him yesterday in the morning. I guess he got forced into the club quickly… Well if that's all, I'm hanging up now. I want to play some Persona V." Kori said and immediately hung up. He thought to himself

- Wow, so he's already in the club, huh. I hope I get to meet him soon. When I first saw him, I got really intrigued for some weird reason. Well who cares, It's Makoto time! -

"It's time for food, Kori!" Kori's mother yelled out.

"Already!? That was way too quick!" Kori screamed.

Kori's mother simply laughed a bit at that remark.
