Cool I Got Super Powers And All, But I Don't Think I Deserve Them 2 I Thought Being In A High School Club Would Be Cool, But It Really Isn't...

I was now standing in front of the dreaded club room that would end all of the fun I could have had. I was holding a club application paper in my hand, Eraijo got the biggest shock ever when I asked for one. School was over and the whole school was relatively empty.

- To avoid being labeled a s.e.x offender for the rest of my school life, I had to join this s.h.i.+tty club. That doesn't seem fair at all, I didn't ask for these powers I don't even have yet. d.a.m.n me! Why did I have to come a bit late that day! If I hadn't, This wouldn't have happened. -

But it was quite useless to be upset about it. With tears in my eyes, I opened the doors and entered the mysterious room.

Actually, it looked like quite the normal room. Not what the name 'Magical Arts Club' would lead you to believe.

What was seriously scary, though, was the person sitting by the desk in the back. Anami was sitting with her legs set up on the table. The intensity in her eyes almost made me turn around and just run as fast as I could out of there.

-There she is. The all successful miracle girl, I did some research into her and found out she's one of the smartest girls in school. She's from a rich family, the Kowabuki group. According to the guys talking around school, she's also one of the most desirable to have as a girlfriend. That's absolutely insane, she's way too scary. -

Anami was sucking on a lollipop and was looking at me hostilely.

But at that moment, I saw an angel. Next to the nightmare-inducing girl, a completely normal and above-average-looking girl was standing. Namely Aya!

I didn't necessarily like Aya in a special way. But compared to the aura Anami was exerting, Aya really did feel like an angel.

"Ayaya, Ayaya!" I shouted in tears of happiness

"What!? That's not my name! That's from one of those 'Anime', isn't it?" Aya responded, shocked.

All I could do was cry. I said

"I knew you were an angel, Aya! You're so much friendlier than Anami."

Aya blushed a bit and quietly commented

"An angel?"

But that quiet comment was hard to hear because of a certain brown-haired lady.

"Excuse me!? I'm friendly too, right Aya?" Anami angrily put her legs down and stood up quickly.

"Yes, you are president!" Aya responded, the tone she used almost sounded like a soldier responding to a lieutenant. Anami got a look on her face that said 'That's right'.

"You know, the way you act almost makes me believe you're actually the mafia." I responded. Anami almost popped a vein upon hearing what I said, but let it go and answered in a very pa.s.sive aggressive tone

"More importantly, do you have your club application with you?"

I didn't respond, instead just handed her the piece of paper. I then decided to ask a question

"Are you two the only ones in this club, or…?"

Anami started laughing and responded

"Of course not, we have around 12 people in this club. Most of them are out on missions, so we only have three other people here today. Please come out, everyone!"

And from behind me, closet doors opened up and out came three people.

"Wow, that really feels like human trafficking." I quietly said to myself.

"Why would you think that!?" Anami retorted.

"How the h.e.l.l did you hear that!? Wait, don't tell me you used that Kaito power-thing."

"I did, and our mission today is to awaken your Kaito Powers."

I checked out the people who walked out of the closet. All of them were girls.

One girl had blue hair set in a ponytail, what seemed to be soft-lips and a subtle nose.

One girl had a half with turquoise hair and a half with pastel pink hair set in two major drills. Her eyes were really seductive and almost made me confess my love on the spot. Luckily my superior social awareness saved the day.

And the last girl had short and simple black hair just hanging. She also had one of the cutest smiles I'd ever seen.

-Sometimes I really curse the hormones in my body. I can't help but get pleasure when looking at pretty girls. I wish I wouldn't so that I won't accidentally get unnecessary feelings for anyone. I also just realized there only were girls here. If only I was a harem main protagonist in a romantic comedy light novel. If only, hahahahaha haha ha. Some would think that this wish would interfere with the whole 'unnecessary feelings' thing, but harems are a different story. Harems are like the ultimate fantasy for an otaku, or any guy in general I would say. But apparently in the WoW server known as 'Real life' harems are impossible fantasies. This is why I stay inside all the time and indulge in otaku things, real life sucks.

It's been a while since I did a self-deprecation joke inside my head, Here goes.

There's zero percent chance of you even getting a girlfriend, how are you supposed to get a harem!?

Ah yeah, You're right. I forgot for a second who I was.

*Clap Clap Clap* -

"Why are you clapping?" The blue-haired girl asked.

"A very good question indeed, and an answer I have for you. It's because I made an unfunny joke inside my head. More importantly, Anami, how do I get rid of these Kaito Powers?" I answered, my facial expression had changed multiple times during the line.

"Ehh?" All the girls responded at the same time.

"That was some nice timing, I have to say. But my question still stands."

Anami cleared her throat and asked

"Why would you want to do that? Kaito powers are ultrpowerful and can grant all your dreams."

"Haha, That's precisely why. I don't deserve these powers, because of who I am. Therefore I want to give them to someone who deserves them."

I responded. I then quickly mumbled "Feels like I've said that line a lot recently."

Suddenly, Anami gets an evil grin on her face. My back starts to s.h.i.+ver, and the urge to run comes back in full force.

"There are requirements that you need to meet before you can transfer the power to someone else. But, I'm not going to tell you what those are."

Anami simply said.

"You d.a.m.n s.a.d.i.s.t. Do you get pleasure out of my misery?"

I commented with the soul carved out of me.

"Yes."

The s.a.d.i.s.tic woman spoke.

"Well moving on, We have a 2-hour schedule here to train you in specific areas so that you can use the printing orb to find out what your specific Kaito Power affinities are. By the way, I am Narino Poroyama. I am a second-year here at school."

The turquoise/pink-haired, apparently name Narino, said.

I responded after thinking a couple of seconds

"Nice to meet you, Narino. But it's impossible for me to partic.i.p.ate in a 2-hour event today."

"Is that so? How come?"

Anami asked me

I immediately responded

"I have a part-time job 4 days per week. Today is one of those days."

"How the h.e.l.l do you, an otaku, have a job? That feels, like, impossible."

the blue-haired girl said, the others nodded in agreement.

"That's pretty prejudice-full of you. I have a part-time job because all the manga, light novels, anime merch don't pay themselves you know." I said

"Well looks like your coming late to work today, then"

Anami said.

"What? Why would I prioritize this over a work that pays me money and fuels my hobby?"

I asked.

All Anami did was point at her chest and then grabbing her left b.o.o.b. That small, slightly exhibitionistic, action told me a whole lot. With sweat pouring down my forehead, I responded like a broke down soldier

"Yes Ma'am"

"That's what I thought." Anami said with a satisfied grin on her face.

"You know you guys act like a mafia, right?"

I said while walking with the others outside.

We were apparently going to some gra.s.s field to conduct our little test.

-I feel like a bird caught in a cage, I'm surrounded by enemies and I have no way of escape. Also, everyone here has awakened Kaito Powers so I don't know what the h.e.l.l they can do to me.-

soon, we had arrived at a huge gra.s.s field. I looked around and commented

"Is it just me, or does it feel like I'm going to die here?"

"No, I don't really feel a deadly atmosphere he----" the black-haired girl, whom I found out was named Ibuki Sanadari, quietly said before getting interrupted by Anami.

"On the ground, do 500 push-ups."

I got a frown on my face and that frown faced Ibuki for a response.

"I'm sorry, I didn't expect that." Ibuki responded and looked down at the floor nervously.

I felt bad because it wasn't her fault I was in this predicament so I said

"Don't worry, I was prepared to die when I walked to this place. It's what I deserve for being born after all. I mean, I was really close to committing suicide earlier today. Although that doesn't erase my feelings towards Anami for what she's doing."

After hearing my word, Ibuki stared at me with a worried face. I guess that would be a natural reaction what I just uttered.

"Come on then, do it." Anami provoked me.

"Sure, but it's humanly impossible to do that. How the h.e.l.l am I supposed to do five hundred, when I can barely do five!?" I answered to the provocation.

"What if I tell you that by doing this you'll almost be able to transfer your powers."

Anami said with a smile. I thought about for a second and then said

"That sounds reasonable. Well then, Let's go!

Is what you expected me to say, right? Sorry, but I won't fall for easy tricks like that. As an expert on 'Social doubting', I don't fall for such idiotic traps. Even if I were to have taken that motivation and used it, how is that supposed to increase my output? I said that it was impossible, didn't I?"

The facial expression I had was a c.o.c.ky one. Although it was probably a bad idea to provoke Anami.

"How dare you? You're lower than a mosquito, yet you dare to oppose me."

Anami said, brutally so. In an instant, Anami was standing next to me. She then tackled me and put her knee against my back. It really hurt.

I answered in a hurry

"I mean, you're not wrong. I would even argue that I'm lower than a mosquito. But even if I am, I'll still say what I think of something. If my words hurt your pride, then I apologize. But if you're as good of a person as you paint yourself like, shouldn't you be able to take criticism and perhaps debate it in a civil discussion?"

Everybody immediately gets stunned. Anami is frozen for a couple of seconds before responding

"That's surprisingly philosophical for someone of your caliber. Buuut, I don't care. So how about you do what I say?"

- G.o.d dammit. Not even 'Cool lines that I actually believe in' #03 worked!? I hope I won some respect with the others at least. -

To end the pain and die quicker, I said

"Fine, guess I'll do it. But you'll see my revenge when I get rid of these powers!"

Anami finally let go of her knife-like knee and backed of. All she responded with was a "Hmph! Whatever"

And to the ground it was. 500 dreaded push-ups.

Before even doing my first one, I stared at the ground in agony.

- After this, it's finally time to figure what these 'Kaito Powers' actually are. I've been waiting for this ever since this morning.

Wait that's not a long time at all

I guess so.

I have a feeling it's going to be a long while before I get rid of these darned powers.-
