A Warrior's Path 90 Chapter 90. Pain

Ryu returned to the temple after he finished off Kakuzu and Hidan. He saw a team of leaf ninja as he returned. They were lead by Asuma.

Asuma was speaking to Chiriku when Ryu returned.

Ryu waved his hand " Yo Asuma, what brings you here? "

Asuma " We got a message asking for help from here. Guess there was no need."

Ryu laughed "Haha."

s.h.i.+kamaru was behind Asuma, he looked at Ryu " Ryu san, what happened to those two Akatsuki? "

Ryu said in a plain tone " Dead."

s.h.i.+kamaru nodded. Well he expected such results, after all he did see a portion of Ryu's true strength when they were training with him.

Asuma spoke to his team "Since, everything is taken care of we should head back."

Two people could be seen looking outside, a male and a female. Rain poured down endlessly but this didn't affect the daily lives of Rain village.

The female had dark blue hair, she is a beauty. As for the male he had orange hair with piercings made of some kind of black material. The interesting part was that his eyes were purple in colour with circles within them.

These two were the leaders of Akatsuki, Konan and Pain ( Nagato's Deva Path ).

Konan " Our group had already lost most of its members. A few days ago, Kakuzu and Hidan also died. "

Pain spoke with indifference " Doesn't matter. We will continue with the plan. Apart from Nine and Eight tails, we already have other tailed beasts. "

Konan " Yes. Eventhough we failed to completely extract one tails, we managed to gather most of its chakra. So what next."

Pain didn't speak. He looked towards a direction and said " What do you suggest? "

This was Obito or rather he would prefer his fake name Madara Uchiha.

Konan was wary of this man. She always felt that he was manipulating Nagato somehow but she trusted Nagato's decision and followed him.

It was a fine day in leaf village. Children running around, old people gossiping, young couples strolling through showing their affection to each other.

Ryu was currently sitting atop of the Hokage Craig. He looked towards his home and smiled. In his last life he never enjoyed such things but here he was able to experience many things he found impossible in his last life.

Suddenly he looked towards a certain direction, few strong Chakra's were fast approaching. He used Chaos eyes to check who it was. His face showed surprise when he saw these people.

' Well, it's that time already.'

Eventhough he saw pain and others come towards the village, he didn't care. But still he ordered those guarding s.h.i.+n.o.bi to retreat.

Pain was surprised to see the guard post empty. He didn't care, like they planned, he used Pretha path to break inside.

Leaf s.h.i.+n.o.bi quickly reacted to the intruder and attacked. But one of Sage's six path is not an opponent they could beat that easily.

Any Jutsu thrown towards the Pretha path gets absorbed by it. As Pretha path and leaf s.h.i.+n.o.bi fought casualties started to occur. They had no way to attack, Taijutsu was the only way. All of them moved in for close combat but before they did, Pretha path found an opportunity and summoned the other paths.

Leaf s.h.i.+n.o.bi were on guard. They saw five other people get summoned by the person they were fighting, none of them rushed in for attack.

Pain looked towards leaf ninja, he lifted his arms and pointed his palm towards them

" Almighty Pu...

Before he could complete his attack, a tremendous force blasted him backwards. None of the other paths reacted, they only saw a yellow flash as pain was sent flying.

Few figures descended,

Tsunade, Minato, Itachi, s.h.i.+sui, Gai and Jiraiya stood before pains six paths.

Six Paths Vs Leaf Village.

Pain got up from the rubble, his eyes didn't show any surprise " Since everyone is here, I shall ask you directly. Where is Nine Tails."

Tsunade scoffed " Arrogant aren't you? To come to our village and ask for our comrade, answer me where do you get that much confidence, Pain or should I call you Nagato."

For the first time pain showed some surprise, he didn't think they would know of his true ident.i.ty. However his eyes quickly returned to that former calm.

Jiraiya already heard everything from Ryu, he had complex emotions as he looked towards Nagato.

Pain paused for a second when he saw Jiraiya as he answered Tsunade " My confidence? Why would a G.o.d need one when dealing with ants. Jiraiya sensei, this world will never be free of war unless it knows true Pain

Now I ask you again, where is Nine Tails."

s.h.i.+sui stepped up, he walked slowly towards pain. His facial bones changed continuously as it reverted to its original form.

After Itachi returned s.h.i.+sui had no reason to be in concealment but Ryu asked him to wait. He wanted s.h.i.+sui to reveal himself in a grand way. Of course s.h.i.+sui's identify was already revealed to Sarutobi and the others. Danzo almost died of heart attack when he saw s.h.i.+sui.

s.h.i.+sui's eyes changed as he walked, they changed to his Mangekyo, a green shadow slowly covered him. Huge arms took shape.

Pain and other paths weren't able to dodge in time as s.h.i.+sui's attack came. Those huge arms slapped away pain and the other paths.

Looking towards Pain's direction. He spoke in a calm eerie tone " Konoha.....

Is not a place where you can just waltz in and demand our comrade to be handed over.

You must be prepared to die if you ask such things."
