Chen Mu gave her a brief physical checkup before permitting her to leave the room and join the fun downstairs. They didn't have a wheelchair, so she was happily carried downstairs by Zhi Hei. Hui Yan held onto a light blanket just in case s.h.i.+ Xue gets cold later. Chen Mu had a warm preserving container filled with gross herb medicine for s.h.i.+ Xue, in case she collapses. As for Shen Qi, he was sent on a personal mission to retrieve something that was very important.

The moment these four entered the party hall, the Huang couple was so delighted to see s.h.i.+ Xue that they forgot about the three maggots on the floor. Mother Huang offered her seat and tea to s.h.i.+ Xue and held onto her hands to warm them up. s.h.i.+ Xue shook her head gently, "The thing he disliked the most had been you. You just said you've kept the things he disliked from him. Then why are you still sticking to him? You should've thrown yourself out as well."
