After dinner and letting the food to settle down in our tummies p.o.r.nsak's Uncle began his long lecture on methods using the internal spiritual energy for healing. He asked me to sit cross-legged on the floor facing him while he sat on the sofa.

He told me to place my hands on each side of the knees and then to control my breathing as normally as possible through my nose to inhale and through the pursed lips to exhale while keeping my eye focused on him.

Next, he took a white candle from his cloth sling bag and p.o.r.nsak switched the hall of the living room off while keeping the air conditioner speed low.

He placed the candle in a candle holder; a small porcelain plate and placed it in front of me. He told me to concentrate on the flames for about 10 minutes and try not to blink my eyes if possible.

When I kept staring at the candlelight that was gently swaying in the semi-darkness of the living room and my eyes turned nearly watery after staring at it for so long, he told me to close my eyes next.

"Chosen One, now that you had seen the image of the candlelight before you, I want you to close your eyes and breathe as normally as you had done earlier. Let the image of the candlelight burn deep into your mind. Using the power of your mind, you will visualise the candlelight burning brightly before you."

"Darkness surrounds you and the light, while your mind releases energy to the candle, making the light infuse with your energy as it slowly envelopes the darkness. As the single candlelight is burning, it will soon transform into a small burning torch that illuminates the whole surrounding and diminis.h.i.+ng the darkness."

"You will open your eyes once the visualisation of the light emitted from the candle would be bright as day around you."

I listened to the voice and followed what he had instructed to do. Prior to the breathing methods, he had firmly told me not to fumble with it as it would cause a disruption to the rest of the chi. Using the third chakra to control my breathing and using my Third Eye to help me visualise the candlelight, it slowly materialise before me from the single flickering light to become like a flaming torch.

What he had told me regards to the light that would soon envelop the darkness it came true after some time. I shut off sounds from coming to my head and disrupting my concentration except for his speech.

The candlelight in my mind suddenly flared and the darkness soon disappeared while lighting the whole surroundings with brightness like the sun. I fluttered my eyelids as I slowly opened up my eyes to see that the living room light was turned back again.

No...! It was actually from the light emitting from the candle and somehow it lit up the whole living room as if it's daylight!

I breathe still under the instructions as not to screw up the flow of energies in my body and when p.o.r.nsak's Uncle told me to breathe easy, then would I relax my meditational breathing method and let out a big sigh.

"So how was it? You really picked up this very quickly, I am utterly surprised, Chosen One. Normally it would be like a few tries before the light would manage to surround the whole darkness and yet you succeeded on your first try."

"Yes Benevolent Monk, it does seem hard at first but I managed to block any disturbances and felt at peace. The candlelight that was burning suddenly became like a big burning torch and light overcome darkness. By the way, what does this method do?"

"Chosen One, I want you to stare into this smouldering candle that had been extinguished and use your image of the burning candle in your mind and light this up with your sixth chakra...!"

He commanded me and I quickly stared hard at the tip of the candle's wick that had a bit of smouldering heat on it and concentrated my breathing. A few seconds later, the wick burst into flames!

I managed to light a candle just like that?! Wow...! So if someone blows their candles on a birthday cake I could just stare at it and make them light up again! How wonderful a prank I could do on my unsuspecting relatives and friends... And those unsuspecting birthday boys and girls would keep blowing them off and I will keep relighting them in my hand...! Hahaha...! Neat trick...! Hurr hurr hurr.

After pus.h.i.+ng the comical thoughts away, I was somewhat awed at what I could do with this candlelight trick.

"Well done, Chosen One. Your mind and thoughts are very strong indeed in fact that it is as strong as those Ying Yang Masters known to have very defined and formidable Chi energies in their souls. They fought not just with weapons but able to perform external and internal injuries if they were to inflict with their enemies."

"As these Masters progressed on, they were able to hit enemies within a certain range just by using their form of energies. Now I want you to perform again on this candle."

He licked his thumb and then snuffed the light from the candle once more, this time extinguis.h.i.+ng it totally. After he had satisfactorily extinguished the flame, he looked at me then explained that the next practice to light up the candle would be more difficult and would consume some Chi that would me feel a bit fatigued. He then instructed me to light the fire on the candle's wick using my mind.

I closed my eyes and visualise the burning candle as it was before. I etched it in the back of my mind and slowly I could see the candle that was initially burning brightly diminishes as the flame on the wick gets weaker and weaker. It flickered a few times as if trying to light up despite in its dying moments in the oxygen-deprived environment when suddenly the whole scene plunged into darkness.

There was total silence and what I could see was just a smouldering tip on the candle's wick. A small trail of white smoke emits from the tip of the wick as if signalling to me that I had failed in this task.

However, in my strong mind, I realised that it was like the whole process rewinding in my mind and all I had to do is inject a burst of chi energy to light it up again.

The smouldering tip glowed and became dark again for several times when suddenly the tip became brighter and brighter just like E.T's forefinger would do when it healed a cut on Elliot's finger.

He paused while letting this sentence which was too mouthful for me to digest especially the Psi energy ball and 'Kamehameha Wave' that sounded like an ancient mantra or something.

"Not recently, no... But I could imagine Ryu was saying something like" Hayuden!" when he released the energy ball he had acc.u.mulated."

"Yes, its something like that, Chosen One. In fact, it is EXACTLY like that. The energy ball is called a Psi ball that you collect from the energies in the air around you. As the energy you gather and collected in between your palms, the purpose would be reflected in its colour. I suddenly remembered what I did to Akiara when she was on the swing in s.h.i.+ndeki Park. She had just awakened from her coma the day before and I had brought her out of the hospital for some fresh air and to juggle back her memories.

As she was sitting on the swing, I somehow used my chi energy to course through her soles of the feet right up till her knees in order to regenerate back her motor skills on her both legs. And it did help her during that time and I never did saw any kind of energy ball or anything of that sort. It was just pure energy emitting from my hands that transferred to her legs in the form of a healing way.

So I actually subconsciously used this type of energy channelling without realising the meaning and further usage of it.
