The Monk which I preferred to refer him as one of the side characters in this series; was helping me clear the living room giving me an extra large s.p.a.ce to conduct the second stage of exercise or practise; whichever you would like to reference it.

The coffee table had been moved to the side of the wall near the entrance of the kitchen. An armchair was moved to line along with the sofa, giving it a s.p.a.ce large enough for the second stage to commence. I was told this was made so that I would be able to move freely with no obstructions. I wonder what the Monk had meant by that.

He set up a target frame that he had brought along in his cloth satchel bag. It was as though he had a premonition of what's going to happen and simply brought out the things required. Next, he introduced his blessing bowl which was mysteriously filled with water before we left the office and now was empty and dry. The contents may have spilt and leaked through his bag I a.s.sume.

The small target was made of a hollowed out picture frame. He then placed a piece of white A4 paper in front of it and taped it down securely so it won't budge if it's being blown by the soft breeze of the centralised air conditioning. He took the candle and before he snuffed the flames, he switched on the lights of the living room; and he placed the candle about 6 inches from the framed paper target.

His blessing bowl was filled up by p.o.r.nsak with the water from the kettle that had been boiled earlier in the day and set aside at the end of the coffee table. This will be used for another phase, as explained by the Monk.

"Come, Chosen One, please do take a seat here. You feel comfortable enough to start the second phase of our process?"

I had drunk some water and stretched my self a bit after been sitting on the floor for quite some while. Feeling refreshed, I nodded to the Monk and proceed to the point where he pointed. I was told to sit this time, kneeling down with my legs tucked underneath me.

"What I would like you to do is to use your internal Chi strength. Summon it up and try to gather it in front of you, Chosen One"

The Monk approached me and held my two hands and placed them midsection with one hand slightly apart from the other, facing one topside and downside with the other. He then proceeded to explain, "This hand position is for you to connect and gather all the energies around you, whether it's positive or negative energy. These energies will form a vortex within your hands and it will gather strength and intensity."

"Remember, regardless of the energies that came and form as you gather them, let it form and intensify and form a very tight and fast vortex and when you release it like this: you will perform a Kamehameha or a Hyuden move towards the candle flames."

The Monk showed the movement of gathering the energies and perform the blasts as he pushed his hands out simultaneously to hit the intended target. As a precautionary measure, he went to the kitchen and took the portable fire extinguisher next to the cooker hood.

The Monk demonstrated again several times and told me to release the Psi ball of energy if it is ready to be launched. It would be a sensation of overwhelming pressure that wishes to be unleashed. The method of breathing and concentration is similar, but this time the concentration is made towards the energy that would be gathered between the upturned hands.

I looked in awe by the demonstrations and somehow I followed his hands' movement on how I gather and then release that so-called energy ball towards the intended target; the flame of the candle that stood 6 inches away from the framed target. After practising it for a few times, it has been decided and the phase begins.

"Remember to summon the energies around you to gather in between your hands, Chosen One."

The Monk seemed excited to see how the next Phase turned out as sat there on the floor and controlled my breathing, inhaling slowly through my nose and exhaled through my pursed lips slowly. I called out aloud in my mind," Come to me... Energies that revolves around me... Show yourself within my hands and form an energy form right now."

Slowly, I felt something light and buoyancy within my hands as I concentrated to look at it. The out of shape form was slowly turning in a vortex-like movement and it became a mixture of radiating colours, from red, blue-green, white and yellow slowly diffusing into the form and steadily became around the small ball. I released the ball as demonstrated by the Monk towards the candle's flame.

I could hear a faint "whoosh" sound as the ball of energy was released and the flame in the candle flickered as if some form of wind had blown against it, threatening to blow out.

"Again, Chosen One... Concentrate deeper a let go once you hit its limit."

I smacked my lips and adjusted my knees underneath me as I repositioned myself once more to be more comfortable. I then started to do the whole process once more and the vortex of energy came this time, after sometime when I felt that I had gathered enough energy in the Psi ball, I released it.

The flame of the candle suddenly flared up and then sizzled back into its original state again. The candle seemed to have moved or rocked abit along with its base holder.

I looked up and saw a satisfied look but somehow he commented, "Chosen One, that was not even half of what I expected with your current tier level. By the way, I can sense there is something missing from the way you performed. How about you focused that the flame of this candle as your enemy, Chosen One. We will try after a short break."

p.o.r.nsak served me a chilled drink after she had placed some ice cubes inside it while I was still in the kneeling position. I took a sip and told the Monk that I would like to continue instead. He looked at me before deciding it, after he somewhat a.s.sessed that I am OK to proceed one more time.

I then proceeded to exercise the methods once more, the vortex of energy in my hands furiously gathered and I subsequently raised my hands a notch higher and aimed at the candle flame. This time, there was a significant change, as the vortex of energy I gathered had reached a kind of reddish hue.

The Psi energy ball that I had gathered had shrunken in size as my both palms pressed down on it from being about 8 inches to nearly half of its size. The energy Psi ball that was getting more intense that it seems to be like a small rubber ball. It was manifesting itself so furiously that I felt that it wanted to be unleashed immediately.

I held the Psi energy ball with one last look, aimed at the flame of the candle and performed a "Hyuden" move. The next thing I knew made me shock with awe...!

The flame of the candle flared as if it was a thunder flash that had been thrown by the SWAT team that intended to blind their enemies vision as they breached through...!

It was so blinding that an explosive heat can be sensed and a "whoosh" sounded as it blistered through the air en route to its target, and finally a deafening explosion as the Psi energy ball connected with the candle.

The living room shook and quivered as if it was. .h.i.t by an earthquake and the sudden rumbling died down after a while. Meanwhile, I immediately scurried away on the floor like a c.o.c.kroach as the deafening boom erupted across the living room.

My G.o.d...! What had just happened...!?! The moment I released the Psi energy ball and aimed directly at the flame of the candle, I felt its rush towards the intended target and when it connects, it simply seemed to disintegrate. The deafening boom sound ensued and I am sure neighbours within a few houses would be able to hear and felt the aftershock sensations.

I looked at the candle and find that is not there anymore and only a small trace of the candle was left in the base holder. The target frame that was placed 6 inches behind it had also disintegrated and what was left was a rather large residue from the explosive blast on the wall of my kitchen. I guess the part-time housekeeper would have a hard time scrubbing it out tomorrow...!

"I did it right this time, didn't I? Haizz, how was I going to explain to the neighbours since the resonance of the blast did trigger some of the cars' alarm. There's already a group of neighbours clamouring outside now. I better attend to it to simmer down the commotion."

As quickly as I've said that, I stood up and went to open the door of my living room and stepped outside. It was already past a bit after dinner time so they thought that the LPG tank in my kitchen had exploded.

I lied to them that everything is alright and the sound was made by the exploding faulty bread toaster. They asked me if I am alright and I explained that I was not hurt in the process and only the bread toaster had been killed and will be sent to the garbage for proper burial.

They laughed at my metaphor and walked away back to their house, and even a neighbour before she left asked if I wanted to borrow hers while I go get a new one later. I politely refused and once everyone had left I closed the door and returned to the duo.

I checked the damage on the wall and made sure there was no structural damage to it. I even looked on the other side and found that the gadgets behind it were unaffected in the blast, after all, it was a burst of energy and non-volatile to other unintended objects.

p.o.r.nsak was looking at me wide-eyed with awesomeness as she experienced first hand of what an energy Psi ball could do. She thought that this form of action could only appear on comics or on anime shows on TV.

If she could clap her hands and tucked them under her chin and danced and twirled around the house, I think she would have done so with glee.

I sat on the sofa next to the Monk and he placed his hands gently on my right knee and finally said, "You have successfully unleashed the full power of your Chi, gathering and manipulating the energies around you and to blast towards your enemies."

"I don't know how would your cool down time be for each blast to be formed but I'm sure that you, at this level would not have trouble repeating the blast consecutively for 3 or more times in a row."

"I don't think I would be using these Psi energy blasts anytime soon, but I would like to thank you, Benevolent Monk that you had opened up a new path towards Righteousness. I would not use these newfound powers to harm unintended humans and animals or even plants."

"That's good to hear from you, Chosen One. However if you were to gather the energy ball and wishes to unleash it, just return it to the Mother Earth, which is back to the soil. The earth is where your energy was rooted from. Fixing you to the ground and balanced thus making your limbs swaying in the air with utmost flexibility."

I listened intently and understood about the upgrades and the usage of gathering of energies around me to achieve this effect. If I had learnt about this,

I should be able to use it to crush against the Bug-Eyed Monster in the first series or even the a.s.sa.s.sins on the second. Wow...! Little did I expect to have mustered such cool moves without using a single CGI effect. I was all through and through with these spiritual matters.

I asked him about the water in his blessing bowl and he told me it is for the third phase once I had successfully completed the second. I inquired what it was used for and he replied unhurriedly, "That bowl is to be used to gather energies from the air surrounding you as well. But it has another intent as it could be used to revitalise lost energy as well as act as a healing drink. Let me further demonstrate to you."

The Monk asked p.o.r.nsak to provide an empty clear gla.s.s tumbler while he moved the coffee table and places it directly in front of where we were sitting on the sofa. He then placed the bowl in front of me that had already been filled with water nearly up to its brim. He places the clear gla.s.s tumbler next to it.

"Now rub your two palms together to generate heat a few times. Clasp it together in front of you like this and rubbed. Once you generate substantial warmth you placed the palms facewards like this. You will sense or even see 2 small Psi b.a.l.l.s which would be white or bluish-white in colour."

I did as what he had instructed and was surprised to be able to see a small marble-like sized energy ball on top of my palms, dead centre. It was bluish-white in radiance and it did nothing else. It doesn't even move, pulsates or does anything else.

"That's very good. Now concentrate on the 2 psi energy b.a.l.l.s and hold your hands as if you're cupping it. The two b.a.l.l.s will integrate becoming one and it will be radiating a more bluish bright light and be heavier as the time pa.s.sed. It will not try to violently move in your hands, unlike the cortex blasts that you had done a while ago."

The Monk showed how it was supposed to be performed and when I cupped my hands slightly the two energy marbles fused and became one, emitting a more radiance glow than just now.

"Next, command the energy in the air that surrounds you to enter this healing energy."

I proceeded to call upon the positive energies around me to form into it and the energy ball or sphere began to emit more radiance and I was told to 'pour' it into the blessing bowl earlier as suggested and the energy ball seemed to descend into the bowl and absorbed into the contents.

"Good, Chosen One... Right now the energy has been absorbed into this bowl of water right? Go on, pour the contents inside this clear gla.s.s tumbler and observe carefully and you may take a sip."

I was a bit sceptical about drinking water that was from his blessing bowl but I took the bowl in one hand and poured its contents into the clear gla.s.s tumbler.

Normal water does not have a carbonated kind of effect in them like a bottle of Sprite, for example. But the contents inside this a.s.s tumbler was different than normal boiled water. It has a kind of Sprite carbonated drink effect and seemed to be fizzing and tiny bubbles inside them floating up to the surface.

"Eh...? This is plain water, right? How comes it looked like water from Sprite or Spritzer mineral water? It looked fizzy as if there's a lot of escaping gases from it. Is it safe to drink Benevolent Monk?

I asked again and he nodded his head and gestured me to take a sip and tell him the difference between plain water and energised water. Cautiously I brought the gla.s.s tumbler to my lips and let a trickle to enter my lips and unto my throat.

The taste was different as if it was sweetened water...!

The feeling of drinking this energy water is inexplicable...!

The burst of energy that was swirling in my mouth as if it was alive and slithered around as it slipped down my throat...!

I can feel the energy tingling in my third chakra as it settled and I drank more than half in gulps and experienced a rather euphoric trip...!

I refilled the cup and offered to p.o.r.nsak in which she drank a bit to test the drink and soon finished every single drop. She closed her eyes as if the drink had interconnected with her spiritual being.

The energised drink had somehow replenished my fatigue through the phases of using the energy psi b.a.l.l.s to disintegrate the candle, target frame and created a charred blast mark behind it.

The Monk patted my shoulder as if he was congratulating me and was in deep satisfaction at the result of the experiment to find out my tier achievements. He stood up and clasp his hands underneath his chin and bowed slightly while saying," I would leave the two of you here. I have other matters to attend to. Please take care of my niece for me, Chosen One. Treat her as your life as you preciously would."

I rose from my kneeling position and p.o.r.nsak joined me to send off her uncle at the door. p.o.r.nsak entwined her arm in me as we sent her uncle off. He straddled his Yamaha RX King and kick-started the bike after he had gathered his robe in a bunch in front of him.

He waved at us and rode off, leaving a gust of dust behind and the full throttle growl of the 125cc engine as it slowly dissipated and distanced away.

"I'm hungry, Aroon... How about you?" p.o.r.nsak suddenly raised a question.

"Eh, I thought you just had an early dinner just now and still hungry? Want to have supper outside?"

"Aroon... That's not what I meant when I said I'm hungry. But I'm hungry for this..."

p.o.r.nsak kissed sloppily on the side of my neck and nibbled my right ear as she pulled me inside the house, as I slowly closed the main door before me.
