Alicia was quite surprised when she got a call from Elsa. "Mrs. Buchanan, this is a nice surprise. I am very sorry I haven't visited you for a while now. How is your husband?" She asked amidst smiles. The Buchanan couple were wonderful people and although she felt bad not visiting she couldn't do that thanks to their annoying son.

"Child, don't patronise me" Elsa said in all seriousness. Alicia felt something was rather wrong given the way she sounded and wanted to remedy the situation. "Fine, how about this? Let's have a lunch date tomorrow just us girls. I will get something for Mr. Buchanan on our way home, what do you think of that?"

Alicia asked fingers crossed like she was waiting for the result of a project. Mrs. Buchanan sighed over the phone saying in a barely audible voice 'Poor girl, she doesn't even know why I am calling and she is still trying to make up for a few missed dinners.'

Alicia could swear she heard Elsa say something but she didn't want to be rude and kept waiting for a reply from Mrs. Buchanan.

"Now that is just a waste of money sweet girl" Mrs. Buchanan finally replied. Aurora looked at her mother mouth wide opened. The same woman in her front is the one who complains if she gets a gift less than a thousand dollars from any one of them. Alice must have done something to change this woman. She thought as she shook her head steadily like a rattlesnake.

Elsa saw her daughter looking at her like she was some mysterious woman but she was not in the least bit concerned. Alicia giggled over the phone "Alright, so what do you propose madam Elsa?" She asked when she did not receive any more information from Mrs.Buchanan.

Smiling Elsa replied "So there is this launch in like two days and I was wondering if you could go with me?" Aurora could not keep it in any longer and shouted "What launch? And why was I not told?" Alicia could not help but smile when she heard her friend's voice.

"Hiya princess" Alicia greeted Aurora through the phone. Obviously, she knew she would be glued to the phone by now. Clearing her throat like someone who had been caught red handed, Aurora replied her friend "Alice, be sure to text me all the details of the launch. I know mum wouldn't give me even if I asked but you both are sure as h.e.l.l not going without me. Ouch"

Aurora yelped rubbing her shoulder where her mother had just hit her "Watch your language young Lady" Elsa gave her reason for hitting her precious daughter. "Although, she is right Alice girl. I had no plans of inviting her for the launch" Elsa continued when she noticed Aurora was no longer within earshot.

Alicia shook her head at the antics of Elsa. She knows how much these two love each other but Elsa was always scared to show too much affection to Aurora whenever Alicia was around. She felt warm on the inside whenever this would happen.

It was obvious to everyone why Elsa would behave that way with Aurora with Alicia around and as thus there was no form of jealousy between the two of them. Alicia smiled remembering their first meeting. Elsa was not worldly but she loved making her kids and her husband shower her with gifts.

This was a trait that Aurora imbibed as she grew older. When she met Alicia though she would always be angry whenever Alicia brought her gifts except on her birthday. I mean who does not want gifts in their birthdays.

Alicia became a pampered child to Elsa because of her background. "OK, so madam Elsa what type of launch are we going to? Fas.h.i.+on, electronics, hmm definitely a restaurants right?" Elsa laughed at this, everyone knew she was a foodie and she does not go to launches that may have bland foods.

"Sadly, none of those dear. That is why I need you by my side. It is the launch of a new entertainment company" Elsa said while heaving a deep sigh. "So you want me to accompany you as Ca.s.sie Kim or Alicia Crystal?" Alicia asked a bit skeptical.

"I will never ask you to do that child and you are free to come as any one you like, um I mean comfortable with" Elsa said almost biting her tongue as she did.
