Alicia had to think about Mrs. Buchanan's proposal over and over before she decided to go as who she thought it was best to go with for the occasion. She texted Aurora the details of the launch and went about her work as usual.

"Ma'am" Rita called out to her as she stepped into her office the next day. "Yes, Rita" Alicia answered not bothering to raise her head from the presentation she was busy with.

"The chairman has requested your presence for lunch today, ma'am" Rita continued respectfully. "Mm - mm" Alicia answered absent mindedly. "Wait, what!!!" She shouted as soon as realization dawned on her.

'Information she could have started with' Rita thought to herself while shaking her head. "The Chinese investors for the E-commerce project will be arriving today and as such the chairman wants you to welcome them with him"

Rita gave a brief explanation 'Why can't he go himself?' Alicia asked herself. "Fine, just inform me a quarter to the agreed time" Alicia said as she dismissed Rita with a wave of her hand.

Keaton had tried calling her before he finally decided to come around himself when Alicia did not reply to any of his 20 missed calls and 5 texts. Alright, not to lie even if she had responded he would still come look for her.

"Yes" Keaton smiled as he heard Alicia's hoa.r.s.e voice. "Hi, sweetheart" he said cheerily as he entered her office. Alicia could not help but roll her eyes at his antics. Maybe what she needed was not something edible, maybe she just needed a sweet Keaton.

Alicia smiled as Keaton came up to her for a quick squeeze rather than a hug. "What are you doing here?" She asked as she looked at him with skepticism. "Well, if someone had picked or even replied to NY calls and texts, then I wouldn't be here or will I?" He asked while raising an eyebrow.
