Idiot In Love -97 Chapter 19: Oblivious

Wu Chen went into the Wu Hotel Restaurant and sat near the window to calm himself. He did not have the faintest idea on why should his heart feels stuffed when he saw Yi Fei and Bai Jing Ting on the dance floor. He ordered a cup of Americano in an attempt to calm his heart.

Thinking back to his days, never did he have any encounter with anyone from his past love. Be it, Li Wei or Bai Jing Ting. When he came to City L, his life started to get a bit busy. First, he met Li Wei. Then, he met Bai Jing Ting. He concluded that his heart must be overwhelmed by the fateful encounter, which was why his heart was uncomfortable.

The waiter came to deliver his cup of Americano and he was jolted out of this pondering. The entrance of the Wu Hotel could be seen from where he was sitting. He took a sip of his Americano when he saw a Harley Quinn with a crown and sash came out to the entrance of the hotel. The Harley Quinn wore a depressed look on her face and she was heading a group of students, all in black.

Shen Yi Fei was a bit disappointed with the prize for winning the best-dressed t.i.tle of the night. Since the prize for best dresser t.i.tle last year was a microwave oven, she was hoping that she could win some this year. But all she got was a crown, a sash and the honour of the first dance. She did not even like the crown.

She accompanied her students to the entrance of the Wu Hotel because their respective parents wanted to fetch their kid. She greeted the parents and thanked them for giving the permission to go out at night. She also apologized because she was not able to send the kids home and required the parents to come and pick them up themselves.

As a responsible teacher, Yi Fei insisted to see each and every one of her students went off to their car safely. The parents were very satisfied with Yi Fei's att.i.tude. That was one of the reasons why they allowed their kid to go out at night to help Yi Fei with the performance.

Yi Fei was sending off the last student when Bai Jing Ting came up to her."Are you done? I'll send you back" Bai Jing Ting smiled and gestured her to come with him. Actually, he had been standing at the back, few steps away for quite some time. Only when Yi Fei sent off the last students that he approached her.

Bai Jing Ting knew that Yi Fei was always popular amongst the students and parents since she was always cheerful. When Yi Fei first came to Faith Middle School, he thought that Yi Fei was a quiet girl. He did not bother much with her but at some period of time; Yi Fei kept on asking him a lot of questions. He was convinced that Yi Fei must be a part-time journalist who wrote juicy gossip about some rich bachelors.

After knowing Yi Fei for some time, he realized that Yi Fei did not know who he was. He told her about his privileged background but she was not bedazzled and only said "good for you" before continuing her daily antics. He found a girl who was not smitten when he mentioned his rich background for the first time. Since then he wanted to be friend with her.

"Done!" Yi Fei smiled and walked towards Bai Jing Ting. She had asked Bai Jing Ting to go back first since she had to see the students off but Bai Jing Ting insisted to send her home.

"Brother, help me remove this crown. It is very embarra.s.sing to walk with this crown on ar…" Yi Fei wanted to remove the crown but some of her wig hair got tangled with the crown so she could not pull it off herself. Bai Jing Ting walked over and helped her.

Bai Jing Ting took his time to remove the crown. He deliberately caressed Yi Fei's wig hair while at it. He looked down to see Yi Fei's reaction but Yi Fei was busy talking and complaining about the crown and how she was disappointed in the present this year. Bai Jing Ting smiled. Shen Yi Fei had always been unconcerned of his approach. He did not know whether he should cry or laugh about it.

All these were seen by two persons. One was sitting inside the Wu Hotel Restaurant near the window and had lost interest in sipping his coffee. The other one, who was hiding, was standing opposite the restaurant and was busy taking pictures of Bai Jing Ting and Yi Fei.

A while later, Yi Fei entered a red car and fastened her seatbelt. Bai Jing Ting on the other seat looked at Yi Fei regretfully. Yi Fei never forgets to fasten her seatbelt. He was hoping she forgot to fasten it so he could do it for her. Like those scenes from the movie.

"Brother, if I remember correctly, last time your car is black right? Did you repaint your car? I almost did not recognize your car when you picked me up earlier this evening" Yi Fei looked at the interior of the car. She was not into cars so she was unable to recognize the car brand by its interior or exterior design.

"No, this is my new car" Bai Jing Ting did not elaborate much because he knew that Yi Fei will ask questions and he was hoping that Yi Fei will really ask questions. He found Yi Fei very entertaining when she speaks.

"I like the colour, so nice but didn't you like black? What car is this? This looks very luxurious. It must be pricey" Yi Fei started to caress the dashboard.

"Audi A3. Do you like it?" Wu Chen's lip curled up. If any other women saw his car, all of them will drool and flock to him. But Yi Fei did not even recognize the car.

"Audi as in Audi, the car bought by Christian Grey to give to Anastasia Steele?" Yi Fei was flabbergasted. She did not expect that she was able to sit in one. She had always wanted to see what it was like to sit in an Audi.

"Who are Christian and Anastasia?" Bai Jing Ting leaned his head towards Yi Fei while his eyes were still on the road.

"Christian Grey ar… from the book of Fifty Shades of Grey. It must be nice to be rich" Yi Fei caressed the car window, making the distance between her and Bai Jing Ting to increase without her realizing that Bai Jing Ting leaned his head towards her.

Bai Jing Ting looked longingly at Yi Fei. His lips twitched. He sat up straight.

"Do you want to be rich? How about you marry me?" Bai Jing Ting jokingly asked. He glanced at Yi Fei to see her reaction. Yi Fei turned her body around and gasped.

"Brother, you should only marry the person you love. Not because of money ar…" Yi Fei deliberately ignored Bai Jing Ting's questions. He always jokes with her so she did not think it though.

"Oh, I almost forget. Brother, how did you know Brother Chen? University is big ar… A lot of people study there" Bai Jing Ting was startled when Yi Fei asked about Wu Chen suddenly.

"How did you know Wu Chen?" Instead of answering, Bai Jing Ting replied with a question.

"He is NaNa's cousin brother, why?" Yi Fei looked at Bai Jing Ting with a baffled look.

"Are you close with him?" Again, Bai Jing Ting replied with another question.

"Not really ar… last time NaNa invited him to go to City T with us to purchase our outfit for tonight because NaNa wanted him to buy us food" Bai Jing Ting stayed unspeaking. A lot of things were on his mind.

"Next time, you can invite me too. I will buy you food" After some time, Bai Jing Ting spoke. Yi Fei nodded her head.

Previously, Bai Jing Ting will answer all of Yi Fei's questions directly. Never did he reply to her with questions before. She wanted to ask more but she decided not to.

At the end of the day, the thing that she wanted to know the most was left unanswered.
