Shen Yi Fei opened her eyes slowly. The bright light from the window a.s.saulted her eyes causing her to shut her eyes. She always liked Sunday because only on Sunday, she could laze around. A sudden thought jolted her out of her sleep. She was wide awake. She tried to recall things.

She felt as if she forgot an important thing that she must do today. It was her routine to wake up late on Sunday because her Sat.u.r.day night was spent either on playing games, watching anime, reading a book, writing her online novel, watching movies or simply browsing videos on YouTube. Last night, she was browsing videos of Zhang Yixing until 4 a.m in the morning.

She closed her eyes, trying to memorize any important thing she should be doing today. She jerked her eyes opened. She seemed to remember the important thing she should be doing She hid her face in shame.

"Argh, stupid me. I was supposed to be a driver today". If she remembered correctly, last few days ago, her housemate NaNa asked her to drive her on Sunday morning to pick up her relative from the airport. She promised her and now she woke up late. Feeling very guilty, she called NaNa to ask about her whereabouts.

After a few beeps, the person on the other line picked up her phone. "NaNa, gomenasai! I was too engrossed in watching Yixing on YouTube yesterday; I went to sleep at 4 in the morning. Where are you now? Miyanhae chingu". She was trying so hard to make her voice sound pitiful and guilty so that NaNa would not be too angry towards her.

The person on the other line laughed loudly and ensured Yi Fei that she was alright and everything was under control. They talked a bit before Yi Fei hangs up.

Wu Chen and NaNa were inside the cab when Yi Fei called. Wu Chen's mouth twitched a bit after he openly listened to the conversation between his cousin and the allegedly scary housemate of hers. He was not trying to eavesdrop on their conversation. But it was too hard to not listen to it when NaNa put the phone call on loudspeaker mode. He had no choice other than listening to the whole conversation.

He silently thought to himself that idiots do flock together. He decided that he will persuade NaNa not to hang around too much with weird people. What j.a.panese? What Korean? Next time he knew, she will start speaking Thai or some other languages he cannot understand.

It was already afternoon when Wu Chen touched down in City L. So, he ate lunch with NaNa and directly went to the living arrangement a.s.signed by his father. NaNa went home to her rent house, leaving him alone in the apartment.

Two weeks ago, his father called him to the study to discuss few things regarding the company. He never thought that his father would send him to City L to investigate the company branch. His father's company, the Wu Group is one of the biggest corporations in the country.

The Wu Group was always in the real estate industry. Only decade ago, Wu Chen's father, Wu Chun Yang, ventured into the hospitality industry. Someone had been leaking, or most probably, selling information about their branch company in City L.

The Wu Hotel in City L is something very important to his father. Therefore, his father had asked him to investigate the matter and eliminate the mole.

Basically, he had two missions of coming to City L, like his father put it out for him. It was so embarra.s.sing when a 57-years-old man talked about secret missions like they were living inside the "Mission Impossible" movies. He refused to acknowledge the word 'missions' and asked his father to proceed with any instruction he had for him.

Other than to resolve the matter regarding the mole in the company, he was here to babysit his cousin. NaNa came to City L last year after she suffered from a broken heart because of her cheating ex-fiancé. A spoiled brat like her could do nothing all day and still live luxuriously, but she wanted to run away from her ex-fiancé. This caused her to apply to work as a teacher for the government's school. Therefore, she was a.s.signed to City L.

Wu Chen was not used to staying in the hotel whenever he was working inside the country. It gave him the feeling that he was on holiday rather than working. Hence, his family has houses and apartments in almost every city in the country as he was always working inside the country.

Wu Chen thought that coming to City L was not a bad thing. He could monitor the progress of the Wu Hotel and he could meet NaNa. Little did he know that he was able to find his whole world in City L. But that was a story yet to be told.

Wu Chen could be considered as a clean freak. Right after he arrived at his apartment, he put all his things in their rightful place. He tidied up the place. He thought that this living arrangement was quite good and he was satisfied with it.

The only problem he had would be that he didn't have any toothpaste. He was sure that he placed it into his toiletries bag last night. Without thinking much, he headed out to buy his necessity. The distance of the nearest town was 15 minutes away so he hailed a cab and got into it without thinking much.

Little did he know that his love life is about to begin.
