Idiot In Love -43 Chapter 73: Lunch For Three

After some time, Yi Fei emerged from her room wearing a wine coloured long-sleeved blouse and a black jean. She put some efforts by dolling herself a bit because of this, after all, was their first official date as a couple.

Yi Fei looked more beautiful each time Wu Chen looked at her. It seemed absurd of how someone could look better and better the more he saw her.

The two of them went into Wu Chen's car. When Yi Fei was about to close the door, her phone rang and the ID of the caller was John.

Yi Fei looked at Wu Chen before she picked up the call.

"Honnnneeeeeyyyy, where are you? I received a very threatening note the moment I woke up this afternoon. I am scared but after considering it, I call you anyway. Where are you? Are you okay? John liked to drag the word 'honey' whenever he speaks with Yi Fei because he thought that he was cute if he did that.

"Well, good afternoon too, John… I am now…" Yi Fei looked at Wu Chen who started his car.

"Good afternoon my a**. Inside a car? With whom? Why are you inside a car? Anything happened that you can't tell me. Are you in danger? If yes, say the secret phrase" John was talking very quickly.

"Just… With someone… The point is, I am safe and sound. You don't have to worry about me. I am about to go get my lunch" Yi Fei was very conscious about the way she spoke because John and she had this very weird way to converse. Yi Fei did not want Wu Chen to think of her as a weirdo.

"Who's WC? Are you with WC? Let me meet this WC guy. I have a lot to say to him" John was very furious at the end of the line. He did not like another guy to get close to Yi Fei without his acknowledgement.

John or his other name, Yue Han, named himself as Yi Fei's best friend since their university day. Even though he was not interested in a woman but Yi Fei had a special place in his heart because he thought of her as his sister.

John and Yi Fei were close; close enough that even both of their parents' knew each other. That was why Yi Fei could drink with John because Yi Fei's mother thought of him as her own child.

Even though they were the same age, John took the role as Yi Fei's older brother to protect her from the male species that he did not like. Seeing how domineering the guy with the codename WC to him, John felt threatened.

Yi Fei put away the phone from her face."John wanted to see you". It was not a question but a statement. So, Wu Chen could only nod to indicate his consent to meeting this John guy when in reality, he wanted to have lunch alone with Yi Fei.

"Okay, let's have lunch together. Where are you?" Yi Fei was worried about John's reaction to Wu Chen because previously, he was head over heels upon seeing Wu Chen's picture in the magazine.

John was still at the Wu Hotel so Yi Fei decided that they should have their lunch at the Wu Hotel restaurant. Wu Chen had no objection as long he could be together with Yi Fei.

John was sitting on the table near the window when he saw Yi Fei entered the restaurant and searched for him. John waved his hand and when Yi Fei saw him, she walked towards his direction.

John was trying to see whether she had someone else with her but he couldn't see anyone. He could only see a male G.o.d behind her. The male G.o.d seemed to be walking towards his table too. John thought that the male G.o.d seemed familiar; he looked just like Wu Chen, the sole heir of Wu Group.

Wait… Was Wu Chen in City L? City L? Wu Chen? WU CHEN????

Upon seeing the male G.o.d who walked behind YI Fei, John did not see anyone else including Yi Fei. He only sees Wu Chen. But why was Wu Chen walking towards his direction?

John turned to his left and right. He even looked behind him to see whether there was someone there who might be meeting the male G.o.d who was approaching.

"Hi, John. Did you wait long?" Yi Fei was now standing in front of John but John was so distracted; he didn't even look at her. His eyes were set on someone behind her. "John? Johnny?" Yi Fei waved her hand to his face to get his attention and that seemed to be working because John jolted out from his trance.

The male G.o.d, Wu Chen, was standing right behind Yi Fei. John was curious why he stood behind her. John pulled Yi Fei to his side. "Honey, you are blocking the way for the male G.o.d".

The male G.o.d's lips twitched upon hearing the word 'honey' coming out from him. John wondered why the male G.o.d did not continue walking even after he had cleared the way for him.

Yi Fei looked so small standing in between Wu Chen and John. She pulled Wu Chen to her side before introducing him to John. "This is Wu Chen. He is WC" Yi Fei talked to John while pointing to Wu Chen. "This is John, my best friend" She then talked to Wu Chen while pointing to John.

John pulled Yi Fei to his side so that she could sit beside him. He already extended his hand to grab Yi Fei's wrist but Wu Chen beats him for it. Wu Chen held Yi Fei's hand and pulled her to be seated next to him.

No word could describe how bewildered John was at the moment. He couldn't fathom the situation where he was right now. So Wu Chen was WC and according to the note, this WC wanted to borrow Yi Fei for the day. Why? And why was Wu Chen so touchy with Yi Fei?

Wu Chen could understand how John was Yi Fei's best friend. Both of them were similar. They wore their hearts on their sleeve. Seeing how confused John was at the moment, Wu Chen decided to tell him everything so that he would understand and did not cause him any problem. After all, John was still the best friend of his girl. He needed to be in a good relations.h.i.+p with them.

"I am going out with Yi Fei. We just settled our misunderstanding this morning and now we are seeing each other" Wu Chen told John about his relations.h.i.+p with Yi Fei.

Most people will ask their friend and family to support or to cheer for their relations.h.i.+p but not Wu Chen. He did not need permission to have a relations.h.i.+p with Yi Fei.

John looked at the two in front of him. This was a bit too much for him to accept at the moment. Even when the waiter came to take their order, John was absentminded and just ordered whatever he saw on the front page of the menu.

John knew how easy it was to fall in love with Yi Fei but he did not expect to see that Wu Chen, one of the most eligible bachelors in the whole country was in love with Yi Fei. John doubted Wu Chen's motive to approach Yi Fei.

The whole lunch, John was quiet and he only looked at the two in front of him, especially Wu Chen, with a sharp gaze. He did not care if Wu Chen was handsome or not anymore. John cared more about Yi Fei's wellbeing.

Like people said, usually, the rich and handsome guy was a playboy. He did not want Yi Fei to get played by a playboy.
