They were still kissing when suddenly, Yi Fei's phone rang.

Yi Fei pushed Wu Chen off her but Wu Chen did not bulge and continued on kissing her.

"That's… my…mom" Yi Fei tried to talk but she got cut off by the incessant kissing by Wu Chen.

Upon hearing that it was Yi Fei's mother who was calling her, Wu Chen stopped kissing her and got off from her. Kissing her was like ecstasy, he almost loses control.

Yi Fei took her phone and looked at Wu Chen with a very regretful expression. "Can you hide somewhere?"

His heart was hurt when Yi Fei asked him to hide. "Why? Are you embarra.s.sed to tell your mom about me?" He was sulking.

"My dad will kill you if he knew I'm with a man alone in the house when it is already 10 o'clock" Wu Chen was puzzled but after Yi Fei showed him that it was a video call instead of voice call, he complied but he didn't hide; he only moved to the other end of the sofa to allow Yi Fei to take the call.

Yi Fei shot him a thankful look before picking up the call.

Both of Yi Fei's parents were teachers. Her father was teaching History and her mother was teaching Mathematics in one of the high school in their hometown, City B. Her mother had learnt how to use the technology just recently and she was addicted to video calling.

"h.e.l.lo, Ah Fei…" There was a slight pause at the other end. "What are you doing? Why your hair so messy and your face are flushed red? Are you sick?"

Wu Chen laughed silently when he heard that. He purposely didn't tell Yi Fei about it because he was sulking a little bit because Yi Fei asked him to hide.

But Wu Chen was an understanding man. He understood the complication when her father knew that he was doing something with Yi Fei around this time. Heck, if he had a daughter, he will be mad enough to kill someone if a guy was messing with his daughter at night.

"I fell asleep on the sofa" Yi Fei stroked her hair to make it even messier. "The air-conditioner in my room broke so it's hot. That's why my face is red… It's hot" Yi Fei pretended to fan herself.

Wu Chen was amazed at how great Yi Fei was at acting. He mouthed 'actress Shen Yi Fei' at her and Yi Fei replied by mouthing 'shut up'.

"Who are you talking to?" Her mom got curious so Yi Fei became panic.

"I didn't talk to anyone. I'm just exercising my mouth. See…" Yi Fei moved her lips and her face as if she was doing a face and mouth exercise.

Yi Fei and her mother exchanged pleasantries before her mom got into the real reason why she was calling Yi Fei. All these times, Wu Chen was listening to the conversation on the side quietly.

"Ah Fei…You know how your dad and I are getting older each year and now you are already 26-year-old…" Yi Fei's mother suddenly gave a melancholic vibe."Before we die, we really want to play with children" She even sniffed. Now, Wu Chen knew from where did Yi Fei get her drama queen trait.

"Don't you have a boyfriend or someone you can bring home? Next month, we are having two weeks holiday. Don't you think you should bring someone home other than Johnny?" Yi Fei's mother proceeded to talk about how Yi Fei never brings any guy home or how she never shows any sign that she was in a relations.h.i.+p that it saddened both of them and yadda yadda.

Yi Fei was about to interject her mother to say that she had a boyfriend but before she could do so, her mother clapped her hands and spoke excitedly. "You know Mrs. Zheng from Street 2? Her youngest son is working as a lawyer and next week, he will be going to City L for a business meeting. I think you should go and meet him"

Wu Chen's expression darkened when he heard that. He stared at Yi Fei, urging her to decline the suggestion.

"Last time, it didn't work out between you and the Zhao family son but its okay. Sometimes, a police officer didn't work regular time so you will feel lonely if you get married to him" The conversations were monopolized by Yi Fei's mother.

Being a polite kid she was, Yi Fei waited until her mother had finished speaking before giving her opinion in regards to the suggestion made by her mother.

"Mom, I'm sorry but I don't think I can do that anymore" Yi Fei took a deep breath before she continued talking. "I have a boyfriend"

The self-satisfaction felt by Wu Chen when Yi Fei told her mother that she had a boyfriend couldn't be described by word. He felt so proud of Yi Fei and at the same time, he felt appreciated.

"WHATTTTTT??????" Yi Fei's mother screamed."Yi Fei's dad, come here. Your daughter said she has a boyfriend. Come, take a look at her if she's lying" Yi Fei's mother began calling her husband.

Wu Chen could hear a deep male voice approaching the phone. "What did you said? Boyfriend? Who is your boyfriend? How come you have a boyfriend without telling me? Who is he?"

From the tone of the voice, Wu Chen knew that Yi Fei's father must be protective of her. He needed a strategy to win over him or it would be hard for him to date Yi Fei later on.

"Bring your boyfriend to see me when you're going back during the school holiday. I need to see if he is qualified to be your boyfriend" Yi Fei's dad now monopolized the phone. Yi Fei's mother looked like she was on cloud nine after Yi Fei told her that she has a boyfriend.

Yi Fei told them that she'll try to. The family talked for a bit before the father decided to end the video call.

Yi Fei sighed."Did you hear it? Do you want to come with me to see my parents?" Yi Fei did not have high expectation towards Wu Chen because she knew that Wu Chen must be busy but she was over the moon when she heard of Wu Chen's response.

"Alright, I'll clear my schedule at that time". Both of them smiled happily.

The embarra.s.sment she felt when they kissed a few moments ago was long forgotten because of the video call. Yi Fei suddenly remembered the dish in the sink so she wanted to go and checked it. When she stood up, Wu Chen stood up too.

So, Yi Fei started walking to the kitchen and Wu Chen followed behind her.

"What are you doing? You should head back now. It is half an hour after ten" Yi Fei really wanted him to go back. Who knew what will happen if Wu Chen insisted on staying.

"Didn't you say that the air conditioner in your room was broken? I think I should head inside to check it for you. I'm such a caring boyfriend, aren't I?" Wu Chen was teasing Yi Fei but who knew that Yi Fei will be overreacting.

"Argghh… What are you thinking? Why do you want to enter my room? You pervert… "Yi Fei wanted to push Wu Chen but Wu Chen caught her hands and pulled her towards him.

"What pervert things are you thinking about?" Wu Chen smiled seductively at Yi Fei.

Yi Fei lowered her head. "We shouldn't do things like that. We need to date properly and get to know each other deeply before we could even think of things like that" Her words became incoherent.

Wu Chen guffawed. His girl was so innocent; she needed to be protected at all times.

"You," Wu Chen knocked her head softly. "Don't think about pervert things too much. I'm going back now" Wu Chen let go of her hands.

Yi Fei felt slightly disappointed when Wu Chen let go of her hands. She walked Wu Chen to the door.

Outside the door, Wu Chen was looking straight at Yi Fei; he was reluctant to go. "Fei Fei, are you going to let me go just like this?" Wu Chen was hinting for a goodbye kiss or a goodnight kiss.

Yi Fei touched her chin as if she was thinking hard then her face lightened up like she understood what Wu Chen wanted. She came closer to Wu Chen, looked at him in the eyes.

As if she was coaxing a sulking little boy, she patted his head. "Be good. Drive safely okay?"

Wu Chen could only sigh helplessly.
