Idiot In Love -32 Chapter 84: Voodoo Doll

The next morning, when Yi Fei reached her table, she saw a beautiful pink box on her table. It was identical to the box sent by Wu Chen last time when he sent Lay, the Unicorn plush toy. Yi Fei smiled giddily while trying to guess what's inside the box.

"Arghhhh…"Yi Fei took a step back. It was early in the morning so there were not many of her colleagues in the staffroom. Yi Fei was the only one in the English Language Department cubicle.

A few female teachers who were older than Yi Fei came to see what was wrong with her. Yi Fei didn't say anything; she only pointed to the pink box on her table. Her colleagues rushed to see whatever inside the box that made Yi Fei screamed.

A gasp could be heard after they went to see inside the box. A male colleague went to see what's inside the box as well and bravely taking out the things that made people gasped.

It was a rag doll that resembled Yi Fei. Red colour, probably blood, was splattered all over the body of the doll; it looked terrifying and smelt disgusting. There were a few pins inserted into the effigy.

Yi Fei knew what it was. She used to watch horror anime when she was studying in the university. One of her favourites was Ghost Hunt and from the anime, she came to know about ghost hunting and the voodoo doll.

The one sent to her was, most probably, a voodoo doll. Voodoo doll was used for cursing; she wondered who she angered to trigger that person to curse her with such scary method.

Her male colleague took out a sheet of paper from the box. "s.l.u.t" was written boldly by using a red liquid or blood. It was the same one as the one she received previously.

There was a moment of silence. n.o.body talked or reacted because all of these were new to them. Yi Fei thought that this kind of things only happened in the movie; she did not expect to experience this kind of thing too.

"Why are you all quiet? What happen?" Bai Jing Ting came and everyone returned back to reality. The male colleague showed him the rag doll and the note written in blood. Bai Jing Ting frowned upon seeing those disgusting things.

"Fei Fei, I think you should make a police report about this" Bai Jing Ting approached Yi Fei who was standing a few steps away from her table.

Yi Fei was too much in a daze that she didn't really listen to what Bai Jing Ting spoke to her. She nodded absentmindedly before pulling her chairs and sat far away from the box.

The crowd shot her a look of sympathy and dispersed after they spoke a few sentences to comfort her. Bai Jing Ting patted her head and offer words to caution about the box. Yi Fei nodded quickly.

After everyone was gone, Yi Fei got close to the box and snapped a few pictures of the rag doll and the note. She was contemplating whether she should send the pictures to Wu Chen or not.

In the novel that she had read, misunderstanding always happens because one side decided to keep a secret from their partner. Yi Fei was not stupid and she did not want to make the same mistakes as those characters in the novel so she pressed send.

A few seconds later, Wu Chen called Yi Fei.

"Are you okay? Do you want me to go there? When did that box deliver to you?" Wu Chen asked some questions and Yi Fei told him how it all started.

"Last time, something like this happened too. Do you think it was the same person?" Wu Chen was worried about Yi Fei but he felt angrier because someone dared to scare his girl.

"Don't worry about it. Leave it to me. I'll take care of this" Wu Chen and Yi Fei talked a bit more but it was mostly Wu Chen who was speaking to comfort Yi Fei.

After they ended their conversation, Wu Chen called Liu s.h.i.+.

"Good morning boss. Is there anything I can help you? Anything urgent that can't wait until we are in the office?" Liu s.h.i.+ was still lying on his bed. He glanced at the clock on the wall; it was 30 minutes past 6 - too early for him.

"I need you to retrieve a box from Yi Fei and investigate on it. Caught the culprit as fast as you can" Wu Chen straight away hang up the phone after giving Liu s.h.i.+ instruction. Liu s.h.i.+, on the other hand, couldn't sleep anymore. He knew about the relations.h.i.+p between his boss and Yi Fei but when he was giving a vague instruction like he already did just now, Liu s.h.i.+ felt stressed.

Yi Fei continued her day doing her work like she usually did because Wu Chen had already given her his word that he will take care of the matter. She trusted him. So, she was able to live her day normally.

Yi Fei wanted to fetch a gla.s.s of hot water from the pantry and Cheng Xiao Meng was also in the pantry was.h.i.+ng her hands. Yi Fei wanted to ignore her but Cheng Xiao Meng suddenly turned her head to her direction so Yi Fei had to pretend like she was glad to see her.

"Miss Fei, don't you think that the back view of the lady in the dating news was familiar?" With her hand still with soap, Cheng Xiao Meng had stopped scrubbing her hands and focused on Yi Fei.

"I'm not sure. What do you think?" Yi Fei fetched the water and ready to walk away from the pantry but Cheng Xiao Meng next words infuriated her.

"Some people are too materialistic nowadays. They keep on hanging around rich guys doing I don't know what; keep on jumping from one man to another man" Cheng Xiao Meng resumed scrubbing her hands.

Yi Fei planned to ignore her words but this is not the first time she felt such hostility from Cheng Xiao Meng. Whenever they were speaking, Cheng Xiao Meng seemed to be sarcastic to her. She swore that if she didn't refute this time, Cheng Xiao Meng will think of her as a pushover.

"I just want to confirm something… but Miss Meng; do you have any enmity towards someone who had a rich boyfriend? Because I don't see any reason why you should be salty to them. Having a rich boyfriend is not a crime. Also, I think that having a rich boyfriend is good because it shows that you are lucky. You should stop being salty so that you can get a boyfriend too – doesn't matter if he's rich or not"

Yi Fei turned around and walked away elegantly with a gla.s.s of hot water with her while Cheng Xiao Meng scrubbed her hands furiously.
