When it's time to leave work, Bai Jing Ting went to the parking lot where Yi Fei parked her car because he wanted to make sure that Yi Fei was alright before she went back to her place. Even though Yi Fei had already told him about the nature of her relations.h.i.+p with Wu Chen, Bai Jing Ting still harbours some intention to s.h.i.+ft her attention back to him.

When he reached the parking lot, he was stupefied. There were actually two red cars in the parking lot and they were parked side by side. Even the registration numbers were the same; the only difference would be the area letter code of the car.

Bai Jing Ting could recognize Yi Fei's car even when there were two or more cars lined up with the same colour and registration number. He didn't know how; he just did.

He went standing near Yi Fei's car to wait for Yi Fei to come. Bai Jing Ting had a bad feeling about the other red car because it looked too similar with Yi Fei's car and it was too much of a coincidence that even the registration plate number was same – as if it was made specifically to match Yi Fei's car.

After a few minutes, Yi Fei was seen walking towards her car. Bai Jing Ting smiled upon seeing her. She did not look sad so Bai Jing Ting felt relieved.

"Brother Ting, why are you here?" From afar, Yi Fei could see Bai Jing Ting who was standing near her car but her attention was towards the red car that parked beside her G.o.ddess. She continued walking towards the parking lot.

"I just want to make sure that you are alright" Bai Jing Ting was quite busy the whole day so he couldn't really check on Yi Fei. He looked at the approaching figure who was smiling as she was approaching him.

"Oh, I'm okay. I don't feel disturbed at all" Yi Fei reached where Bai Jing Ting was. "Thank you for asking tho. You should head back, Brother Ting. If you keep on delaying, the traffic will be more congested"

Bai Jing Ting liked this side of Yi Fei; she cared about other people. But the impression didn't last long because Yi Fei walked towards the other red car and what happened next shocked him.

Yi Fei walked to the car next to her G.o.ddess and knocked on the window of the driver's seat. The window didn't roll down. Instead, a man came out of the car.

It was Wu Chen. Bai Jing Ting was flabbergasted upon seeing him.

Without acknowledging Bai Jing Ting who was standing on the other side of the car, Wu Chen came out of the car and began inspecting Yi Fei. He touched her face and her shoulder as if to check if there's any wound or injury on Yi Fei's. His face was full of concerned.

"I came because I was worried. It breaks my heart because you have to go through such things" Wu Chen's hands were holding her cheek.

At first, Yi Fei was shy because Wu Chen started to be touchy in public. She was not used to a public display of affection but when she saw the concern look on Wu Chen's face, her shyness disappeared.

"What things ar? This sister here is tough so that kind of thing won't bring me down" Yi Fei tried to get rid of Wu Chen's hands on both her cheek because he was squis.h.i.+ng her.

The forgotten side character who was still standing at the other side coughed to get the attention of the couple. Yi Fei and Wu Chen turned their heads to look at Bai Jing Ting.

"Wu Chen" Bai Jing Ting could only utter the name of the man in front of him. It's no wonder that he had a bad feeling when he saw the red car that could pa.s.s as the clone for Yi Fei's car. The feeling he had when he saw him touching Yi Fei casually was like all the b.u.t.terflies just died.

He knew that Yi Fei and Wu Chen were together now but it still breaks his heart when Wu Chen was flaunting how good their relations.h.i.+p was; it was as if he had done it to show off to him.

Wu Chen didn't say anything; he just nodded his head once to acknowledge Bai Jing Ting when the other person called his name. Then, he turned her attention to the short lady in front of him.

"Let's go eat first" Wu Chen removed his hands from Yi Fei's cheek and held her hands.

"Okay, I lead the way and you follow right behind me" Yi Fei wanted to walk to the driver seat of her car but Wu Chen pulled her back.

"Liu s.h.i.+ will drive your car" Right after the name had been mentioned, a guy emerged from the pa.s.senger seat of Wu Chen's car and bowed to Yi Fei. "Let's go. We need to talk about a few things. Say goodbye to your brother first" Wu Chen purposely stressed the 'brother'.

"Okay then" Yi Fei turned to Bai Jing Ting and spoke happily. "Brother Ting, I'm going now. You should head back too before the traffic got worse" Yi Fei waved her hand and then, she handed over the keys of her car to Liu s.h.i.+.

Bai Jing Ting was sure that Wu Chen purposely stressed the word 'brother'; as if Wu Chen was reminding him that he was just a brother to Yi Fei.

He really disliked this side of Wu Chen. During their university days, Wu Chen always flaunts his happiness towards him. It made him furious sometimes. After all this time, he still couldn't do anything about it. He just looked at the red car until it disappears from his sight.

Inside the car, Yi Fei looked at Wu Chen suspiciously.

"What's your motive of coming to my school? The kids will gossip about it when they see you. You know that you are famous right?" Yi Fei wanted to know the real reason why Wu Chen came to her school.

"Bai Jing Ting is such a caring brother. He even came to check on you before you head back home" There was a trace of jealousy in his voice.

"Are you jealous? Don't be. I just think of him as my brother. So, why did you come to my school?" How could she not detect the bitterness in Wu Chen's voice? Yi Fei knew when someone was jealous. She always writes about it in her online novels. Also, she knew better not to feed off jealousy – that it would be best if it was resolved earlier.

A proud smile could be seen on Wu Chen's face. "I'm worried about you. This is for real. That culprit might have done something bad to you. I don't want to take any risk"

Yi Fei tried to process the information and tried to relate it to her current self. Wu Chen knew the look on her face. When she had a blank look on her face, it means that Yi Fei was about to come up with a wild imagination. For some reasons, he couldn't wait to hear what it was this time.

"Ahhhh" Yi Fei screamed dramatically. She looked as if she had a sudden epiphany about it. "Chen Chen, you might be right. That culprit might scratch my G.o.ddess or splatter paint all over it as a warning… Or worse, the culprit might do something to my car – like she or he messed up the brake or something so that I will get into an accident…" Yi Fei tried to come up with a lot of scenarios. She even used her body while talking to describe each scenario.

Most of the things imagined by Yi Fei were the worst case scenarios. That gave Wu Chen an idea too. He smirked cunningly.

"My Fei Fei is very smart" Wu Chen patted Yi Fei's head like he was praising a little kid who did well in the examination. "That's why, starting from today, I will send you and pick you up from work every day until the culprit is captured. This way, you will be safe" Wu Chen said it with a face full of righteousness.

When Wu Chen put it that way, it seemed as if doing that was a good thing so Yi Fei agreed readily. She was so proud because she could come up with something incredible like that and she got praised by Wu Chen. What she didn't know was that she actually fell into Wu Chen's trap.

Wu Chen was only saying that so that he could spend more time with Yi Fei. Also, he could get rid of Bai Jing Ting or other flies who kept of hanging out near his girl.

It was like killing two birds with one stone.
