The few days pa.s.sed by peacefully with Wu Chen sending Yi Fei to work and picking her up from work when it's time.

The threat she received a few days back was not forgotten. Liu s.h.i.+ was still working on it but he didn't get much input since the culprit didn't show him or herself.

On Sat.u.r.day morning, Yi Fei woke up late at almost 11 o'clock because she had been trying to cope up with her reading. She had been spending most of her evening with Wu Chen and she had been making a slow progress in her novel writing and reading.

Her car was parked and unmoved for a few days already so she planned on going grocery shopping today so that she could surprise Wu Chen with a home cook dinner.

Her phone beeped several times, indicating incoming messages.

Princess NaNa Misaki: I'm coming home… I'm coming home… Tell the world I'm coming home… (Please sing this)

Princess NaNa Misaki: Are you happy that I'm coming home today? I have a lot to tell you… Pick me up from the airport, please :)

Princess NaNa Misaki: At 1 o'clock

After reading the messages from NaNa, Yi Fei began to make her plan for the rest of the day. She'll pick up NaNa from the airport first and then, they'll go grocery shopping together. Yi Fei wanted to go out with Wu Chen but it wouldn't be a surprise anymore if he knew.

Yi Fei sent Wu Chen a 'good morning' message and went to take a quick shower. By the time she finished showering; Wu Chen still hadn't replied to her chat so she picked up her car keys and went out to her G.o.ddess.

From afar, Yi Fei could see that a few of her neighbours were gathering around her G.o.ddess; she wondered why. When she was near the crowd, her neighbours threw her a sympathetic look.

Yi Fei wondered why but when she looked at her car, she was so shocked to see that her car was splashed with a white paint. A big letter spelt 's.l.u.t' was written on the b.u.mper of her car. The side of her car was scratched and it was too horrid to see. The scratches around her car were so deep it will make your heart bleed.

Yi Fei gasped and her neighbours came to comfort her. One old man who always go for jogging at 6 o'clock in the morning every day, told Yi Fei that by the time he went out for his daily jogging routine, her car was already in that state. He tried to tell Yi Fei about it by knocking on her door this morning but n.o.body answered him.

Yi Fei was dumbfounded and puzzled. Just what did she do to deserve this kind of treatment?

Yi Fei took out her phone. In this kind of situation, she knew that the only person who could make her safe would be Wu Chen. Wu Chen hadn't replied to her message earlier so she thought that he might be busy.

For the first time in her life, after she had received a series of a threat with the same modus operandi, Yi Fei was shaken and she wanted to cry. She didn't understand why she had to go through such a thing when she never acted like a s.l.u.t before.

With tears threatening to fall, Yi Fei tried her luck in calling Wu Chen.

"Fei Fei, did you sleep enough?" There was a trace of playfulness in his voice. Several other voices could be heard in the background. Like Yi Fei had predicted, Wu Chen must be busy.

Yi Fei didn't talk for a few seconds; contemplating whether she should be distracting Wu Chen from whatever he was doing at the moment. As if tracing that something was not right with Yi Fei, Wu Chen asked her another question.

"Fei Fei, what's wrong? Why are you not talking? Are you okay?" The voices in the background stopped.

Wu Chen was actually in an ad hoc meeting regarding the final checkups for the construction of the Wu Courtyard. When Yi Fei called him, the meeting was about to end.

"Fei Fei, please talk. You are scaring me like this" Wu Chen softened his voice. The other people present at the meeting were shocked to see another side of their ruthless boss. They wanted to stay to listen more but Wu Chen waved his hand, instructing them to go out of the meeting room.

"G.o.ddess… She got paint all over… s.l.u.t was written on her" Yi Fei tried her best to keep calm but upon seeing her beloved car got scratches and splashed with paint, she felt so sad. "I don't know… Why is this happening to me?"

"Where are you?" Wu Chen stood up from his chairs and went to the elevator.

"Parking lot" Yi Fei choked up and she could stand it anymore. The tears she had been holding kept on falling.

"Go back to your house, look the door and wait till I come" A 'ding' sound could be heard in the background before Yi Fei hung up the phone.

She returned back to her house. Her back hunched; she walked languidly.

When Yi Fei reached her house, she cried silently. From the damaged on her car, one could tell how deep the hatred was. Yi Fei did as she was told and waited patiently while sitting on the sofa.
