For that specific activity, the students will be tasked to concoct a love liqueur and it is called the  Elixir of Wolfs Bane.

The Elixir of Wolfs Bane does not create actual love, but instead ostensibly cause the drinker to become strongly infatuated and romantically obsess over the person who gave them the love liqueur.

It is usually either forced upon someone or covertly given.

Since this elixir is tasteless in nature, it could be easily hidden in foods or drinks without the knowledge or consent of the person receiving them. As a result, the person is unknowingly taking the love liqueur.

The effect that a love liqueur has will wear off over time. In order to maintain its effect, the giver must continually administer doses of it, or else the recipient may 'fall out of love' with them.

A single dose typically lasts up to 24 hours, but the precise duration is dependent on the weight of the drinker, as well as the attractiveness of the giver.

Also, the Elixir of Wolfs Bane can still and will still work regardless of whether the giver is present when the recipient consumes them.

As a rule of thumb the longer a love liqueur awaits consumption, the stronger the effects will it be.

Meaning, the longer the recipient keeps the love liqueur or the item spiked by the love liqueur itself, the more potent their effects will become, as the Elixir of Wolfs Bane tends to mature over time.

Also, the liqueur's aroma is unique to each person who consumes it. The smell of the Elixir of Wolfs Bane varies from person to person and is dependent upon what each individual finds appealing.

Given how easily the love liqueur can be abused to manipulate others, it is unclear why Magus Academia did not ban it, or why they allowed it to be part of the Elixir Making curriculum.

Although it is also possible that students were taught about it so that they could recognize the effects and counter them for their own safety.

Since the ingredients for concocting the Elixir of Wolfs Bane can be easily purchased in Majika, Teacher Shen gave her students ample time to prepare all the precious mystical herbs and items needed.

Some of the ingredients needed for concocting the Elixir of Wolfs Bane are the GOLDEN ROSE, MOONSTONE DUST, MIMOSA EXTRACT, and last but not the least, the ASHWINDER EGGS.

Golden rose is the easiest ingredient to retrieve out of the many. As the name implies, this rose flower comes with a golden color. But the elixir of Wolfs Bane uses more of its thorns than the petals.

The other one is the Moonstone Dust. It was made from the crashed rainbow moonstone. The same stone that Magus Academia uses to gauge the students' apt.i.tude in magic during the entrance examination.

Mu Lingxi even blasted apart a rainbow moonstone on one occasion before. Allowing her to pa.s.s the entrance examination with literally flying colors.

Next is the Mimosa plant. Mimosa is a flower that blooms from a fern plant and it only blooms at night. Its juice should be extracted exactly during the full moon to maximize its effect.

Then the last one is the Ashwinder eggs. These are a common ingredient in many varieties of love liqueurs as it can easily set even the coldest heart on fire.

When consumed separately, it has the same effect as an aphrodisiac.

Ashwinder is a magical serpent that is born from the embers of an unattended magical fire.

An Ashwinder egg is extremely hot and flammable, and, if not frozen in time, will light a fire to the surrounding area. They are bright red and very valuable when frozen.

According to the book of "Elementary Guides on how  you can concoct your first Elixir", the procedure in concocting the elixir of Wolfs Bane is as follows:

First, place all ingredients into a cauldron over a flame made by the defrosted Ashwinder eggs. Then let the mixture to simmer over low fire.

Sit before the cauldron and light nine votive pink candles.

Concentrate on the man or woman from whom you wish to be loved, chanting his or her name out loud for thirteen minutes.

After that, stir the ingredients nine times with a wooden spoon. Each time, intone the following words:

"LET THE ONE WHO DRINKS THIS WINE

SHOWER ME WITH LOVE DIVINE.

SWEET LOVE POTION NUMBER NINE

MAKE HIS/HER LOVE FOREVER MINE."

Now, bring the mixture in a full boiling roll. After a minute or two, reduce the heat and let it simmer for another nine more minutes.

Afterward, remove the cauldron from the flames and allow the mixture to cool off before straining it with a cloth. Blow nine times over the love liqueur, each time singing aloud:

"O QUEEN of HERBS, O G.o.dDESS of LOVE,

BRING TO ME THE ONE I DESERVE,

AS I OFFER THIS DRINK,

THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US WILL SHRINK."
