"You must be hungry to the point that you are even starting imagining things now..."

Mu Lingxi said to her cat, but her body tensed up as well as she started to feel wary towards her surroundings.

Mu Lingxi can't help but compare their current predicament from being stalked. This was just like exactly what happened to her back in her college days.

She was on her way to a convenience store during that time when a perverted man followed her secretly. It scared the h.e.l.l out of her back then big time!

Thankfully, on her way, she managed to meet a police enforcer patrolling the area that night and it escorted her back to their college dormitory.

From then on, she hardly went outside alone, especially at night. Who knows that she will be going to experience this same kind of feeling after being transmigrated to a different world?

Just how unlucky she could ever get???

The master and cat duo continued to move forward in caution. This time, they really cannot shake the feeling that someone was following behind them.

But every time they looked back, no one was there. As a result, they started to walk faster and it did not take long for their casual walk to end up in a sprint.

A cold sweat broke out all over their body as they scurry their way out of that dark place.

The master and cat duo walked another couple of meters, taking a few turns but to no avail. They have already walked through quite a few closed stores but they still feel like being followed.

And as if the situation won't get any better, for some reason they started to notice that it was like the usually busy place of Majika, becomes empty for that specific night.

So far, they have not yet meet any single person along their way. This realization only furthers Mu Lingxi's and Janu's suspicion.

There is definitely something amiss about this situation.

Instead of running away, they decided to face whoever following them head-on. So Mu Lingxi and Ja.n.u.s stopped on their tracks and turned around.

"Who are you??! Show yourself!"

Another five breaths had pa.s.sed but they did not get any response. The place was still silent and empty as ever.

"Are we just overreacting???"

Mu Lingxi asked her cat in doubt.

"MEOW"

[Yeah, I think so??? Maybe you're right. It must be that we were starved by hunger that we are starting to imagine things.]

The master and cat duo came to an agreement after getting no response from their surroundings. They were about to start walking forward, but before they could take another step, a voice sounded from behind them.

"Hold it right there! Don't you dare make another move!"

The voice sounds so familiar. It was like they have heard of the other party's voice before, somewhere.

"MEOW"

"Where are you. Stop hiding! Show yourself."

Ja.n.u.s was so fed up with this kind of hide and seek peg. He had seen a lot of scenes just like this in the movies before.

In the movies, the owner of the voice will appear out of nowhere with a cool entrance. For special cases played during the night, the owner of the voice will even appear from where the moon s.h.i.+nes so that it will illuminate his or her silhouette and it will exclude a cool and imposing aura.

There is no way he will allow another side character in his own story to have such a grand entrance.

From the corner of the alley where they just took their turn a while ago, a shadow started to approach.

It was walking closer with an awkward gait. To be precise, it was more appropriate to say that it waddling its way towards them, instead of walking.

The way it walks was reminiscent of a penguin. It was moving in a seemingly back-and-forth motion that it almost takes them forever just to wait and see what exactly is the owner of that familiar voice and weird shadow.

When they finally met who it was, Mu LIngxi and Ja.n.u.s were both confounded to what they see. Their lower jaw almost fell to the ground from shock.

Standing before them is no other than, the fluffy white, baby snow dragon that they had met before in the crystal cavern of the Cloudmist Ridge.

The tiny creature became fluffier and more adorable than it already was when they first saw her. Making her appear like a cute furball.

Her deep blue eyes were almost shooting daggers as she looked at the master and cat duo with deep resentment reflecting from her eyes as if they have wronged her.

"Why have you been running around all this time?! Do you know how hard it was for me to keep my pace just to follow you?!!!!"

The baby snow dragon berated them. But her voice was high pitched and so innocent that it does not sound angry at all.

"MEOW"

'Yeah, I can clearly imagine how hard it has been for you with such short legs of yours. Ohh sorry, I don't think you have one...All I can see is your small feet. Are you a penguin?"

WHO ARE YOU CALLING PENGUIN???!

YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS PENGUIN!!!

YOUR WHOLE FAMILY IS PENGUIN!!!

HOW DARE YOU CALL ME, A LEGENDARY SNOW DRAGON, JUST LIKE THAT?!?!

The baby snow dragon badly wanted to lash out but she managed to take control over her emotion.

'I should not lower myself to his level.'

'He is not worthy as to cause a legendary snow dragon like me to lose my bearings.'

Besides, the snow dragon doesn't know what that penguin thing was about in the first place.

"Tell me how do you plan to die? Maybe I can be generous enough to grant your last wish."

The baby snow dragon said as she sticks her nose in the air and tried to crane her neck, if there is any, to allow her head to lift her chin up.

She was trying to make herself appear more intimidating, but sad to say, her cute appearance did not allow her to look that way.

Instead, she looks like a toddler trying hard to imitate an elder, making her look more adorable.

"How about dying because of old age?"

Ja.n.u.s gave the question some thought before giving his sincere answer.

"What do you think??? If I burn you now with my fire, will you smell like roasted meat or will you turn into ashes right away?"

"MEOW"

[Hmmm----]

Before Ja.n.u.s could even give his reply, Mu Lingxi interrupted the two. She knew well enough that Ja.n.u.s' answer will certainly p.i.s.s off the hot-blooded snow dragon before them.

After all, based on her personal experiences she knew more than anyone else how annoying Ja.n.u.s' words could be.

So she carried Ja.n.u.s back to her arms and advised him through their mental link to keep his sharp tongue in check before looking back at the baby snow dragon standing no too far away from where they are.

"May I know what brought you here?"
