Since Yun Xue's and Chan Gu's spiritual beast were both capable of flight, both of their beasts soar high up to the sky.

Their beasts flew higher and higher, and soon, they were soaring through the clouds. While Mu Lingxi and the rest of the group traveled by land.

But their speed should not be underestimated either. The speed on how they travel can easily match up to those beasts flying above them

The group traveled with a speed of light. Due to the incredible speed that they were traveling, a cold gale pressed tightly against their skin.

Using their mana, Mu Lingxi, as well as the rest of her friends, gather up a protective layer to ward off the strong wind.

The group continued to travel far without daring to take rest. With their spiritual beasts as their mount, they went on their journey covering several kilometers per hour.

It was only when the sun was about to greet the moon did their group came to rest. They chose to descend to a viridescent mountain valley along their way.

Mu Lingxi and her friends prepared their lodging for the night and decided to take shelter to a relatively large cavern with available fresh running water from a spring nearby.

They intend to at least reach the outskirts of the Long Kingdom by nightfall. But it seemed that they would need more time than that.

The Kingdom of Long is a few hundred kilometers away from Rhapsody Swamp.

Judging from how fast they travel so far, it would at least take them a rough estimate of another day before they could reach their destination.

Nothing, in particular, happened that night and so they were all given a sound sleep. Which they deserved. They spent their night together inside the cave and rest peacefully.

A couple of hours had pa.s.sed and finally, the sun rose again signaling the next day. It fills the sky with shades of orange and pink.

As soon as the sun blooms on the horizon, its golden petals stretch outwards into the rich blue and green plateau.

This brilliant flower of the sky chased away the darkness and coldness that the previous night had brought. Bringing warmth in its replacement.

Stretching their backs, Mu Lingxi and her friends ready themselves for another long journey.

After rubbing the sleepiness out from their eyes, the group called out each of their own spiritual beasts. So they can prepare themselves and took their leave as soon as possible.

This, of course, is with the exception of Mu Lingxi since she and Ja.n.u.s sleep side by side inside the cavern last night. 

Since other magical beasts can't change its form as they please unlike Ja.n.u.s, Long Fuzi and the others had no choice but to order their spiritual beast to rest somewhere.

Not long ago, Long Fuzi and the others already managed to established a mental link with their beasts.

Within just a couple of minutes, high above the clouds, Chan Gu's Piasa Bird as well as Yun Xue's Gryphon beast can be seen gliding across the sky.

While the ground started to shook slightly as Fan Lei's Chimerical Qilin, and Long Fuzi's Nian made their way towards their masters respectively.

When everyone already had the mount for their own use, the group set for another day-long journey. Hoping that for this time they would finally be able to reach the Kingdom of Long before nightfall.

Traveling with the same speed as they have yesterday, the group covers another hundred kilometers even before the day ends

"Guys, we have arrived in the Kingdom of Long!"

Just as when the sun was about to reach the highest position on the sky, Mu Lingxi heard Long Yue's excited voice.

Right when the group suddenly heard their friend's exclamation, they lowered their gaze to take a look below them.

Pitch-black city walls were embedded into the earth as though a thick iron mail. Countless elegant buildings rose all the way into the distant sky.

While on its center sat a majestic building of red, white and gold. This Royal Place towers over other buildings around it and it looks like a perfect centerpiece.

From afar, the overall area of the kingdom resembled an undulating mountain range. They bore testimony to the long history that the Kingdom of Long boasts.

Seeing their homeland bring warmth towards the two Long Brother's heart. Tears shone on their eyes as they were both instantly reminded of their dotting father, the emperor.

On the other hand, upon seeing the same place to where she had fled away almost half a year ago now, Mu LIngxi can't help but feel a bit nostalgic.

"I wonder how Yanyan was faring now?"

On her brief stay on the Mu Clan residence, if there is someone whom she would care the most that would be her maidservant Yanyan.

After leaving the place in secret that night, she had never heard any news regarding that maidservant of hers.

As such, it was the first person that comes up to her mind when she thinks back about this place.

[You missed that Yanyan girl, right???]

Ja.n.u.s knows his master without a doubt.

"Yes I do, Ja.n.u.s... I hope she was fine after I left the place. Who could she have been serving now?? I hope they treat her better."

Before Long Yue could even bad mouth her, she already made her stand.

"Su Yan is right. I actually would love to meet such an interesting and lively lady as you mention."

Chan Gu said as he seconded Mu Lingxi.

"Chan Gu, how could you say that?? Don't you have Hae Soo already? I thought you to our dating?!!! Isn't a prim and proper lady just like her your ideal girl???"

Long Yue asked in confusion. All this time, he was trying hard to convince Su Yan to dupe Hae Soo into their group just for the sake of Chan Gu.

But right before they could even accomplish any of their plans, Chan Gu was already having a change of heart??

"What's wrong with that?? I just said that I would love to meet her. It's not as if I would date her???"

Chan Gu said in defense when he saw how his friend Long Yue was overreacting.

Long Fuzi said calmly with a smile.
