He is the only love of his life after all. So he was overpowered by your mother's magic. The warlock decided to flee but not before leaving a curse.

Because he cannot hurt your mother, he directed his wrath towards you. He placed a curse upon you that will definitely put you on danger if it will be made known to everyone.

That is why we tried our best to lock down the information about what happened 18 years ago. No one must know what really happened that day. It is our only way to protect you.

As soon as your mother gave birth to you, she asked me to take care of you. She told us everything even the fact that she was a sorceress from Magus Academia.

So she runaway and decided to live a normal life away from magic or anything that will remind her of the warlock.

She used her knowledge in the way of magic to heal people. She is compa.s.sionate towards life, a complete opposite of the warlock. That is why it is not a surprise that they did not go along well.

Over time, your mother managed to live a normal life healing wounded soldiers and sick people in the village in the countryside. Until he met your father and that is when she started falling in love again.

She wanted us to give the normal life that you deserve. While she will look for the warlock to face him once and for all.

She intends to defeat him and asked him to lift up the curse that he cast upon you. All we know is she went back at Magus Academia saying that it is the only place where she can definitely find the warlock who harmed you."

Mu Lingxi listened carefully to Mu Ruochen's narration. Although it was long, she still tried her best to remember every detail about it.

It was an achievement itself that she managed to listen to his long story without dosing off. Phew!

But what really made her almost do a facepalm is when she heard the latter part of the story. When she learned that Magus Academia is the very place where they can definitely find the apprentice necromancer.

Like what the heck??!!!

Their group had traveled far and braved danger along the way just to know the whereabouts of that darn apprentice necromancer.

Ony to find out that  the place where they can actually get the apprentice necromancer is actually the Magus Academia

It was like trying hard to search for an answer to an exam only to find out in the end, that it was actually a bonus question and the answer that you are looking for is just actually right before you!
