Mu Ruochen tried his best to put Mu Lingxi's attention somewhere else. But it seemed that she was really adamant about finding the truth about everything!

"Guess there is really no other way around it."

He thought to himself before he continued on his narration.

"The warlock had gotten his hand to some old prophecy regarding the destruction of this world. Since he was capable of messing around with one's soul and the likes, he used this knowledge to harm you. He took away half of your soul and cursed your body to be severely ill. He said that someday, someone will going take over your body and that incomplete soul  will be going to fulfill the prophecy of destruction"

This truth is what really hit Mu Lingxi bull's eye. She felt like she was. .h.i.t by a boulder when she heard what is the curse all about.

She was given two surprises in just a single day!

It seemed that Ja.n.u.s' words before really spoke the truth about her. Her luck is indeed out of the common league.

It was just this morning that she learned that the previous owner of this body was cursed by the apprentice necromancer itself that they had been looking for.

Mu Lingxi left Mu Ruochen's study room in a daze as she was talking to her cat through their mental link.

Mu Ruochen intends to follow after her but he was stopped by the concrete wall. When he saw with his two own eyes how his granddaughter was able to pa.s.s through the walls just like that, he was flabbergasted.

But despite his surprise, he knows that it is not the right time to daze over it. Since he cannot follow Mu Lingxi through the wall, he ran as fast as he could outside of his study room.

He looked around the place to search for his granddaughter but she did not saw anyone. There is no one outside. It is empty as how it always be.

"Is she a ghost??!"

When she lifted her gaze to look at the other party, there she saw Long Yue staring back at her with an expression as if he had seen a ghost.
