SORCERESS 101 264 Silver Arrows

As the place continued to 'bled', hot steam also started to drift from the ground where they stood.

It burned on their skin but they could not care less about it because apparently, there is something more that they should worry about.

From afar they could barely make out the sound of hooves rus.h.i.+ng to their direction!

From the way it sounded, it seemed like there are too many of them.

There is no doubt that they will be at the disadvantageous side once those rus.h.i.+ng hooves caught up with them.

The sound of galloping hooves started to drew nearer and nearer to them on each pa.s.sing second.

While the 'bleeding' of the place does not look like it will stop any time soon.

This only added up on the pressure and the bad premonition that was heaping on them.

They knew very well that if they won't make haste to leave the place now, they will be forced to face the owner of those hooves, soon enough.

When that happens, it will surely be a bitter fight for them. Considering the measly sized of their group with only six members.

So without any delay, they immediately dashed as fast as they could away from the old mansion.

But before they could go even further away from the house a barrage of arrows rained on them.

They already expected things as much as this, was bound to happen anytime soon.

So before those arrows could even do them any harm, Long Fuzi already prepared his wand and was ready to cast a protective barrier over the group.

"ASPÍDA!!!!!"

Long Fuzi chanted as he raised his wand and the others did the same as well to further fortify their defense.

White light shoot from the tip of their wands and this white light combined created a barrier of light that act as their s.h.i.+eld

The sound of the arrows coming in contact with the protective barrier sounded like the pattering of the rain in the roof of a gazebo.

Also, every time that an arrow hits the barrier, something that looks like a ripple of water appears on their protective barrier and it will be followed by a series of vibration.

This vibration can be felt within their wands and it only makes it harder for them to sustain the barrier.

Nonetheless, they still persevere as to make sure that their protective s.h.i.+eld won't be breached by any means.

It continued like that for a few more minutes before the rain of arrows finally subsided.

If not for the protective barrier cast above them, there is no doubt that they won't be able to escape those arrows.

For the number of the arrows that just rained on them can easily be accounted into thousands!!!

Good thing, that they were able to cast an instant s.h.i.+eld or else, they would have been pierced by those arrows already and they won't be any better than dead meat by now.

Mu Lingxi and her friends managed to remain safe and unscathed.

But because of this sudden lapse in their attention, they did not notice that the owners of those galloping hooves already managed to catch up with them.

"Halt right there!!!!"

Said the lady that was riding at the forefront of those galloping horses. There was something like a horn that hung around her neck.

Just by her disposition itself, one could easily make out that she was the de facto leader of the group

She and the rest of the beautiful women that ride alongside her all have a sheath of arrows within their belt and each of them was mounting a graceful dapple-grey horse.

They were all dressed in white silk and velvet and on the locks of their horse's mane there hung 59 silver bells.

Their saddle was pure ivory set with precious stones and its bridle was pure gold.

"I believed that you got something in you that belongs to us. Give it back to us this instant and we might be considering sparing your lives. If we are merciful enough, we could even leave you unscathed."

The one that looks to be the leader of the beautiful women added in an overbearing manner.

She looked down at the group of young warlocks before her before raising her right hand.

This seemed to be some sort of hand signal shared among their group.

Because right after she gestured that, the rest of the beautiful women behind her loaded an arrow on their bows all at the same time.

Then with one swift motion, they all raised their bow and arrow and aimed it towards Mu Lingxi's group before pulling the string taut.

Ready to receive another signal from their leader to fire up the arrows at any moment.

Once they released their hold on those arrows, it will fly straight to Mu Lingxi's group and they will be forced to face another round of raining arrows.

With just one wrong move, the other party could easily release those arrows and shoot it right through them.

The moment they saw how the group of maiden surrounded them and aimed an arrow towards their direction they already knew that they were all trapped.

From this point onwards, they have to be careful with their every word and action.

Or they might risk being pierced with those arrows before they knew it.

Mu Lingxi and friends look at one another waiting for any plan or signal but it seemed that the leader could already read what was running on their mind.

"Don't even think about escaping. You got no chance sweeties. Before you could even make a move, you will be killed already."

The leader said as she simpered a smile on her thin cherry lips.

What she just said, was indeed true. Mu Lingxi's group knew as much as that. But there is no way that they will going to surrender without a fight.

"What do want from us?? We came here under the instruction of the Schoolmaster Yin. Who are you???"

Cha Gu said in a straight face no matter how nervous he was feeling deep inside.

The tone of his voice is neither overbearing nor subservient.

Just from the way he speaks, it was hard to notice that he was nervous at all. But beads of sweat can be seen forming on his forehead.

Which can also be attributed to the heat radiating in the hot steam drifting in the area.

In fact,  even the group of beautiful women before them were also sweating. So they did not find it suspicious at all.

They knew that the other party was talking about the ancient chalice that was in Yun Xue's possession but of course they won't admit about it readily.

Little did they know, that this group of maiden before them is not here to partic.i.p.ate with some school mission, nor they were bound by any rules.

They were from the Silver Arrows, an independent sect of powerful sorceresses.
