Jessy and her mother met in the canteen for their usual lunch get together in the canteen.

"So, how did the party go last night?" Sarah asked while she examined her daughter's face.

Jessy smiled at her mother. "Everything went well, Mom," she replied.

"Good! Did you enjoy the party?"

Jessy nods her head. "Yeah...I met lots of beautiful people wearing a fabulous gown. And the newly opened hotel is magnificent and it's facing a breathtaking ocean! Just amazing! It's a perfect hideaway for vacationists and tourist, and for anyone who just want a quiet place to rest for a few days away from the hustle and bustle of the city," she said.

"Nice. Nothing happens—?" Sarah inquired.

Jessy shrugged her shoulders. "Nothing," she smiled a bit. Then she remembered that woman who threw sulfuric acid on her face, her face darken instantly.

Sarah looked at her daughter's face closely. "Nothing happens...yet your face told me another thing..." she whispered.

Jessy looked at her mother. "Nothing serious, really, just a minor glitch yesterday..."

"Can you tell me about it?" Sarah asked curiously.

Jessy doesn't want to talk about it because what happened last night isn't worth mentioning. But her mother wants to know about it and she doesn't want her to feel that she was being secretive all of a sudden.

She cleared her throat. "Adam has some psycho obsessed fans, a deranged woman..."

"So what about this woman? What did you do to her?" Sarah asked.

"Mom, you should ask first what that woman did to me," she said.

Sarah's eyebrows knitted together. "Oh really—? Did that woman bully you?"

"That woman thinks that throwing sulfuric acid to my face is fun!" she gritted her teeth in anger.

"What—!?" Sarah exclaimed indignantly. "How could someone do something so stupid and horrible to you?"

"Well...after what I have done to her, that woman will never throw acid to anyone ever again!" Jessy said.

"What did you do to her?" Sarah wants to know.

Jessy's lips showed a faint smile. "Nothing serious, I just give her the taste of her own medicine..."

"Huh, you mean to say...you poured acid on her face, too?" Sarah's eyes grow bigger.

Jessy shook her head. "No. I'm not the one pouring the acid on her face, she's the one who did it to herself! She applied acid on her face!"

Sarah was confused about her daughter's statement. "Why would someone apply acid on their face? that is pure stupidity!" she commented.

Jessy laughed. "I switched the make up remover and the sulfuric acid bottle with one another. That evil woman thought she is smarter than everyone!"

Sarah still can't get it. "Can you please start from the beginning, daughter?"

Jessy nods her head. "Okay, it all started when Adam and I exited the hotel's lobby and went to the beach. Adam went back to the hotel to go to the restroom and I was left alone at the beach, then I got bored. Carrying my shoes in my right hand I strolled on the sandy beach. Then all of a sudden I b.u.mped into that woman who hurled sulfuric acid on my face. Then she fled the scene wanting to get away from the hotel. She boarded her car and I trailed her to her house. When she was about to get rid of the makeup on her face, I switched the acid and the makeup remover bottle, tricking her to use the acid in her face. It works! She applied the acid on her face by herself, not me!" she explained.

Sarah was dumbfounded. "Oh my! So, what happened to the woman?"

"Don't worry about her, Mom, she won't die with her burnt face, she will survive. I just teach her a valuable life lesson, to never do to others what you don't want to do unto you. If she didn't throw acid on my face, she won't become a victim of her scheming. Besides the woman belongs to a wealthy family, they had lots of money to pay for their spoiled daughter's face surgery," she explained.

Sarah looked at her daughter's face. "How did you managed to save your face during the attack?"

Jessy grinned from ear to ear. "Thanks to my power, I covered my whole body with a protective s.h.i.+eld. The acid liquid just slides in my body and did not do any lasting damage to my face. I'm perfectly alright, Mom, please don't worry about me," she elaborated.

"Thank G.o.d!" Sarah gushes in relief.

Jessy breathed deeply. "I have read online news and article about acid victims detailing the trauma they encounter suffering every day with the emotional, physical and psychological torment, agonizing with their burnt face due to random acid attack in the streets. I never expected that at some point in my life I will become a victim too. If I am just an ordinary girl and not protected by my power, I would be suffering burn all over my face right now. It's one act of cruelty that I found despicable! I can't believe some evil person on this planet would just willingly destroy people's lives and think that it's okay to just do something horrible just like that...they never knew how life-altering it is on their victims' lives..."

Sarah breathed deeply, she was bothered by the evilness of some women out there.

Jessy spoke again. "It's kind of sad that some cruel and evil people exist in this world without feeling guilt and remorse in their hearts and mind. Make me wanna haunt all those acid attacker b.a.s.t.a.r.ds and pour a drum of acid on their face so that they will know how it feels...they will know how painful it is!"

Sarah looked at the darkened face of her daughter. "Enough, daughter! You already had your revenge, I'm sure that woman will never attempt to throw acid on other's people's face ever again!"

"I swear, Mom. If I ever hear another news of acid throwing in the street, I will haunt those criminals and pour acid all over their faces!" Jessy clenched her fist.

Sarah sighed. "Calm down, daughter!"

Jessy looked at her mother's worried face and grinned. "Hey, I'm okay, Mom! I'm just carried away by my emotion," she said in amus.e.m.e.nt. "But I'm serious with what I told you earlier. If you heard of the news about new cases of acid throwing in the street, alert me so that I can haunt those b.a.s.t.a.r.ds down and give them a dose of their own medicine. I meant it!" she said seriously.

Sarah nods her head. "Okay fine, you finish your food, lunchtime is almost over," she said.

Jessy obeyed and finish eating the foods on her plate, after a few minutes. "Do you still have cashew nuts, Mom?" she asked.

"Why?"

"Because if you no longer have stock, I will buy you a new one. You said it's healthy for the body and I want you to be healthy always because I love you, Mom!" Jessy said.

Sarah smiled affectionately at her daughter. "I love you too, daughter!" she responded.

A few minutes later, Jessy and her mother exited the canteen, they go their separate ways. Jessy was heading towards the clinic to do a blood transfusion, while Sarah went back to her office.
