The Last Embrace 345 Anything Can Happen!

Jessy exited the clinic door, she just finishes her 3rd blood transfusion for the day. She plans to visit the St. Bernard Parish Church in the city during her two hours break. Although she doesn't need to because the church is the safest place to be and Samuel will surely be safe on his homecoming tomorrow.

She would just drop by at the church for a quick visit then teleport to the forest to check on Jagger.

Besides, she also needs to buy some stuff in the city for herself and some presents for Jagger.

She went to her room to change into her black ensemble. She put some money on her sling bag and styled her hair on a ponytail.

She's ready to go!

She transformed into her invisible mode and performed the teleportation process into the city landing somewhere in a dark alley.

A minute later.

Jessy emerges from one of the dark alleys and ambled casually into the busy street, people were going and coming in all directions, she was glancing at the stores lining up beside the sidewalk.

She was now heading to a department store.

Then all of a sudden...there was a commotion going on somewhere!

She heard screaming and shouting...then people were running everywhere.

Huh? What is it this time? Don't tell me..it's bad guys again doing the random shooting in the streets? A repeat of the last time? But she didn't hear a single gunshot...

Then to her astonishment...a man wielding a b.l.o.o.d.y knife was heading into her direction, he was speeding so fast into her direction that he was already in front of her in just seconds...she saw the knife being slashed into her neck...then he was already out of her sight fleeing into the other street.

Dang!

Jessy put her hands on her neck, thanks to the s.h.i.+eld the knife didn't slice her skin, she immediately walks towards the direction where that crazy knifeman was running into...b.a.s.t.a.r.d!

As soon she pa.s.sed by on a dark corner, she turned herself invisible.

She will haunt this psycho first before she continues her shopping!

She rose above the air and scanned the surrounding area...looking for the guy holding a knife wearing a baseball cap on his head and brown jacket.

Then out of the corner of her eyes, she saw a commotion in another street on her left side and to her horror, she saw a woman crumpled to the ground touching her neck with her two hands.

Dammit! Anther victim again!

This psycho guy is h.e.l.l-bent in stabbing as many people as he can tonight, she got to stop him!

The guy keeps running and wielding her knife to the unsuspecting people walking in the street.

Jessy zoomed towards him as he was about to change direction. She instantly freezes his body from shoulder down and s.n.a.t.c.hed the knife from his hand and then....swoos.h.!.+... she slashes his neck with his knife twice! She made sure the slash isn't that deep...she wants him to know how it feels like if somebody will slash a knife on his neck...

'Nice! That was satisfying!' Jessy said to herself watching the guy's eyes widen in shock, he was confused who uses his knife against him because he can't see anyone in front of him...he was about to stop his very own blood from gus.h.i.+ng out of his neck but he can't even move his hands! What the f.u.c.k is going on!? He felt as if his lower body was being immobilized by something...

Jessy unfreezes the guy's lower body.

As soon the guy noticed that he can finally move his lower body, his hands flew to his neck trying to stop the blood from pouring out of his wound.

Jessy dropped the knife on the ground after noticing that some men are coming into their direction running after the knifeman...

The moment the men caught the knifeman, they were starting kicking, punching and hitting the criminal, their blows landed all over the knifeman's body as he was grunting in pain lying with the pool of blood on the ground.

One guy took the b.l.o.o.d.y knife from the ground..."Guys...please allow me!"

The men stop hitting the criminal and allow the guy holding the knife to deliver his justice.

"This is for my mother, and for the rest of the innocent victim, you stabbed today! b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" the guy slashes the neck of the criminal five times to his heart's content... satisfied, he dropped the b.l.o.o.d.y knife on the pavement, anger was still leaping from his eyes. "If my mother will die tonight, I will follow you in h.e.l.l and kill you again! f.u.c.ker!" he spits on the face of the dying criminal.

With a smirk on her lips, Jessy watched the b.l.o.o.d.y scene unfolding before her very eyes.

She stared at the knife man's lifeless body surrounded by the men who were able to witness his last dying breath.

That was swift justice! a gruesome end to the perpetrator himself!

Then police cars suddenly arrived on the scene...barricading the whole area...conducting investigation on the spot.

The cops looked at the lifeless body of the criminal. "Who among you stab this guy?"

The men looked at each other.

"He was already wounded when we found him here lying on the ground with blood oozing from his neck," the bystanders answered in unison.

The cop looked at the faces of the bystander. "You did not see who slash his throat?" he asked again.

They all shook their head.

"Okay, you all can go home now," the cop commanded them and resumed his investigation of the body.

The bystanders dispersed.

Jessy rose above the air, sighing.

What the world had gone to?

If it's not acid throwing, random shooting, kidnapping, stabbing, rape, a.s.sault, bombing, and many others...anything that is terrifying can now happen in the street.

It's not safe anymore to walk in the street...you will never know when is the next random killing or stabbing will occur in the street.

Sometimes, Jessy thought that The Facility and the Habitat and the Mansion are the only places where she can be safe.

As if those incidents are coming especially to get her!

She was afraid that one day, the only way to be able to walk safely in the street is to wear a full-body suit that is a bulletproof vest.

She left the scene of the b.l.o.o.d.y murder in dismay and let the police conduct their investigation.

She was wondering how many victims died... or in critical condition today because of the random stabbing?

She will know tomorrow when the news of today's incident will appear in the morning news.

Jessy proceeds towards the St. Bernard Parish Church located in the Roosevelt Avenue, no longer in the mood to go shopping.

A few minutes later, she arrived at the church. It's still open, she went inside. She saw some people praying inside.

She only stayed in the church for a few minutes.

Then she went outside and hovered above the building.

She saw a brick house nearby, probably the priest's house. She zoomed towards the house and went inside pa.s.sing through the closed door.

The light was still on in the living room. Then she saw a middle-aged man and a boy about ten years old exiting a room.

Jessy saw the guy opening the door and the ten years old boy walked outside, the guy waved at the boy and closed the door behind him.

She roamed her eyes around the house, everything looks normal.

Time for her to leave.

It's about time to go back to the Facility for the final blood transfusion for the night, she will just resume buying stuff from the city tomorrow and then visit Jagger after she will send Samuel home.

She teleported back into the Facility.
