The K-Pop Dream 73 Breakfast Confessions

"D-Dylan…. What are you doing here?"

As I pick myself off the ground, I roll my shoulders a bit to loosen up before answering her question.

"Dylan" She asks once more forcing me to answer immediately

"Sleeping… I guess" I say shruggingly+

"That's not…" She sighs, and composes herself, "Why are you sleeping here? What happened last night? Did we?"

"No no. We didn't do what you are thinking. It was, well…. Uhm you fell asleep during the ride home, and seeing how tired you were. I didn't want to wake you"

"That still doesn't tell me… Why you are here still. Shouldn't you have left after" She asks sternly

"Well I tried. But someone was holding onto me too tightly" I tease " I was going to leave as soon as you released me but I ended up falling asleep"

"Is that all?" She asks

"Yeah…." Seeing her slightly disappointed look , I crawl back onto the bed and whisper, "or did you want something else to happen? Too bad, you are still fully clothed. But we can change that"

She throws me with one of the pillows on her bed, "I guess all men regardless of age think with their lower halves" She rolls her eyes

"I may be a still be boyish but I can show you a real man" I wink.

It feels like something has changed.

I was never this playful with her before.

It always felt like a wall of maturity was blocking us before.

I guess everything really changes after you slept with someone.

"How did you even get in?" She asks

"Through the front door"

"You know! Sometimes you are such a p.r.i.c.k"

"Why thank you"

"How did you know the entry code to my apartment?"

"I guessed. 9/10 people use there birthday as a 4 digit pin. Thankfully you were one of the 9"

"You know my birthday?" She asks happily

"Yeah, 13th November 1986, which makes you nearly 5 years older than me. Ahjumma!"

"Whose an ahjumma!"

*Growl*

"What was that?" I ask

*Growl*

Trying to locate the source of the sound I trace it back to Chae-won.

"Is that you?"

Feigning ignorance, she says "Is what me ?"

*Growl*

I point at he stomach and burst out laughing "That…. It's sounds like you have an entire litter of kittens in there!"

She blushes hard, "Hey!"

Hopping up to my feet. I ask "Is there anything in your fridge?"

"There should be, my mom usually does the shopping for me"

"Alrighty then, I'll see what there is to make breakfast. You go freshen up"

I walk out of the room and into the kitchen.

After turning the stove on, and getting the pan heated.

I begin raiding the cupboards and begin make a english styled breakfast, with fresh toast, I make sizzling sausages, perfectly griddled eggs and a three-bean ragout.

Won made her way into the kitchen a while ago, the tips of her hair still a little wet from water. As she speaks up, "Did you make, all of this?"

"Yeah, go set the table"

Won does exactly that, as the food is plated.

We then sit down together and begin eating .

I must admit all those years of being too poor to eat out and having to cook for myself really showed off. The perks of being a bachelor, I guess.

"Would you like some tea?" Won asks

I nod my head, which makes the beautiful girl then begins her process.

Everything about the way she does it is refined, she doesn't use a modern kettle but rather a clay pot and makes tea from the plants, of a quality and flavor seldom found in the store.

She silently pours two cups, letting the natural aromas fill the air. After a minute or so, she finishes the process,placing a cup in front of me.

The scene is mysteriously quite moving

"Thank you"

Taking a sip, my taste-buds are filled to the brim of satisfaction.

I look over and find her staring at me.

"What's up? Is there something on my face. Don't say there's something in my teeth?" I rub my them with my finger, trying to dislodge any sediments that may remain

"No no, its not that" She says

"Then?"

She takes a moment to compose herself.

'Oh looks like it's something serious'

Won's tone suddenly changes into the more mature version of herself as she nonchalantly says, "It's just that I like you Dylan Park. I have for a while now"

My heart pounds like crazy.

"You like....me?" I ask quizzically

Won doesn't turn her gaze away from me, as she responds matter of factly with a slight blush forming on her make-up less face, " I like talking with you, I like your humor, I like you looking at me, I like sitting next to you, I like it when you care about me... In short, I like being with you"

Stunned, I sit silently, as my tea grows cold.

Pardon me but is this even a confession? This sounds like a news announcement.

"Won.... you know" I begin speaking

She interrupts me however, "I'm not some girl from a romance novel though. Don't expect that.

Every action I take I put careful consideration into.

If it wasn't for your wealth and you were just a normal rookie actor. I'd probably not have treated you any different than anyone else. We could be friends, colleagues and no more. I'm.... not looking for love"

She pauses. "I've been like this since I first developed feelings for somebody. I'm not the type who burns hot like a sun. The future that I imagine, isn't one where you and I become a typical couple or even husband and wife, but rather something similar to what we have now. A relaxing, casual, yet intimate relations.h.i.+p. Where we have have fun, but don't burden each other"

Not fully understanding what she means, I ask for clarity, " Won, so what do you want?"
