The Vampire Project 21 We're Both Human And Vampire

Diego hurried to the s.h.i.+p to give his a.s.sistance. When he reached the area he noticed that a car's approaching steadfastly. It couldn't be Tyler's car but someone elses.

"Slacovich, are you guys alright?" He stands beside them.

"Yeah, how about the escapee?" Sofie asked while blocking attacks from the enemies.

"I've taken care of it. Also wiped out the memories of the witnesses. Sorry but it already killed 6 people when I caught up to it." His voice saddened upon recalling the death of the victims of the escapee.

"Don't feel bad about it, you stopped it before it cause more deaths." Li taps his shoulder then rushed towards an enemy firing a shot to its heart.

"Li's right, for now let's focus on exterminating these monsters." Slacovich messes Diego's hair.

They all heard the sound of a car that happens to park near the s.h.i.+p. Footsteps comes closer and closer about 5 people coming their way. For sure it's not an ally. As the newcomers arrived at the door, two men pushes a man and a woman inside. Then a woman's voice interfered with the fighting.

"If I were you, let President h.e.l.lgazer go." She walks straight inside and helped Volton stand up.

"It's you!" Sofie exclaimed in annoyance.

"The serum may works perfectly on you but President h.e.l.lgazer's not a failure. The time I've spent working at the facility was enough to understand Dr. Brischt's formulation. And all the records he kept was in complete detail. It wasn't hard for me to figure it out." She unb.u.t.tons a few b.u.t.tons of her blouse exposing her neck to Volton. The latter buries his fangs into her neck sucking her blood till he's satisfied. Dr. Spencer loses her balance as she felt drained after President h.e.l.lgazer drinks so much of her blood this time. The fight's taking a toll on his body. Now that he's well refreshed, he intends to get serious on killing them before the night runs out.

"Thanks a lot my dear Theresse. You, take her home and the other one shall remain." He pointed out to the two men who arrived with Dr. Spencer.

"How pathetic. You're keeping her by your side to be your source of food. That doesn't mean we're gonna retreat just cause your thirst is satisfied." Sofie exclaimed in disgust.

"Let's see how you're gonna fight your way to stay alive. Have you forgotten your still outnumbered, and the fact my thirst is relinquished there's no way your gonna beat me." Volton's speed doubled. Slacovich couldn't almost keep up. He's men followed him and attacked them all at once.

"Th-this isn't going to be good." Slacovich keeps blocking Volton's punches. The speed and the strenght of his attacker is very different from before. He knows he can't keep up with his attacks. He shapes.h.i.+ft into a bat and flies away to keep distance from him. Volton's able to grab his feet and throws him down to the floor. He changed back into his human form and broke his right arm when it hits the floor.

"d.a.m.n! He's stronger than before." He coughed out blood. The other vampires aren't tempted by a fellow vampire's blood. The serum rejects its scent in a way. Little did the h.e.l.lgazers know that the first generation's blood can stabilized the effects of the serum in the body. But will never satisfy their thirst for human blood.

"What now President Demonfire? I've heard there are six of you, how come you're only four of you here. Trying to plant a spy on me? That won't do, I'm gonna kill all of you one by one. I've heard that Harry Demonfire was seriously injured. Will you just let him suffer till his body deteriorates?"

"He thinks Harry's a vampire." In his mind. "We're not like you who depends on human blood. Harry would never hurt humans even if it's the only way he'll recover. Sad to say, you lost your humanity when the serum takes over your body. That just means, your just being a host of the serum and let it control you. And that's your weaknes!!" Slacovich rushed forward pus.h.i.+ng Volton on the wall, he choke him up with his elbows while restraining his movements.

"What makes you think your superior than me!" Volton rages and turns into his vampire form. He consecutively punches Slacovich on his stomach. He beats him up pretty badly almost collapsing. Sofie executed a sneak attack but failed. Volton raise her up by gripping tightly on her neck choking her. He then let's her go and kicks her with a full force. Seeing Sofie hit the edge and in great pain. Li and Diego kicks him at the same time, before they can even land their feet on him he's able to grab them both and then slamming them to each other. They're all bleeding from their wounds, broken bones and pain all ober their bodies.

"You guys are full of spirit a while ago, did I scare it all out? Heh!" Volton grips Slacovich's hair tightly, pulling him towards the tied man and woman which Dr. Spencer took with her to the s.h.i.+p. The two were begging for their lives, both sobbing in fear.

"Please let us go! We've already paid for our crime!" The woman exclaimed in fear.

"Let's see how you differ from me President Demonfire." Volton slit a wound on the woman's neck deep enough for it to bleed. The scent of blood filled the area and his men starts raging wanting to bury their fangs on the woman's neck. Slacovich and the others smelled the blood and their blood starts to boil. They tried very hard to fight the sensation, eager to stop the themselves from raging. Volton let's go of his grip and watch the four of them suffer. He also slit a wound on the man's wrist to add up to the temptation of blood.

Diego starts crawling towards the woman which happens to be beside Slacovich. Li takes out her gun and aims it on Volton. She hit him at the left shoulder missing his heart. Her accuracy's pretty bad for she's totally beaten up. Volton feel down on the floor, the silver bullet on his left shoulder is like poison to a vampire's body. Diego takes the chance and gives Slacovich the red pill. This time, the red pill was greatly enhanced by Dr. Harry, not only it calms the serum but also helps then regain part of their strength and helps them regenerate even more faster. After taking the pill, Slacovich gives Diego and the others as well. All four of them are healing up and back at their feet.

"How is this possible?" Volton asked confusingly.

"You think we would go insane and drink up their bloods? No way!" Slacovich and the others attack Volton's men. Deigo stabbed them on the heart, Li fires her gun aiming at their hearts, Sofie would hold down the enemies and let Diego finish them. Slacovich uses his shoes with retractable blades in it. Kicking the enemies down as Li fires at them finis.h.i.+ng them off. They killed each one of his men on the s.h.i.+p. Volton can't believe what's happening. He have the upper hand a minute ago but then they suddenly regenerates and regained rheir strength.

"What did you do? You should have drained those people's blood by now. How are you able to resist it? What did you take? I saw you taking something!" Volton loses his patience but his left arm's paralyzed because of the silver bullet.

"We will still manage to restrain ourselves even if we won't take anything. We accepted who we are. We're not like you. You're a vampire while we are both human and a vampire. That makes a great difference between us. We still have our human conscience, eat like a human, drink like a human, act like a human. We weild not just the vampire's power but also the heart of a human. If you think that it would be our weaknesses, well then, here's your proof that it's our greatest strength." Slacovich glares at him showing his dominance over Volton.

"As for these two, we will take them with us." Diego carried the man and the woman who happens to be the head nurse and previous owner of St. Claire Hospital.

"I will dig out your secrets!" Volton bursted out.

"We don't have any. If we do, you won't be able to know it cause you're not gonna make it till sunrise." Sofie stepped on his wounds pressing it harder. Volton felt unimaginable pain as the bullet deepens into his shoulder as Sofie presses it even harder.

They left the area leaving Volton bleed to his death. His men turned into ashes and it won't be long till sunrise. The four of them spread their wings and about to fly away. Just a few distance from the s.h.i.+p, there are reinforcements coming from different sides of the s.h.i.+p. If they stayed up a bit longer they will be caught up in a fight which for sure will definitely kill them.

"h.e.l.lgazer's men. Good thing we got out right in time." Diego said while carrying both targets at the same time.

"Yeah, this won't be the last time seeing that Volton h.e.l.lgazer." Slacovich grab the woman from Diego helping him carry the targets.

"Let's go before they see us. I just wanna rest when I get home and have my beauty sleep. I'm already so haggard." Sofie complained.

"I'll drop by the hospital before going home. I want to make sure Harry's fine." Li takes her phone and did a selfie mid air.

"Oh gos.h.!.+ Why would you take a selfie while exposing our wings!" Sofie gets agitated.

"I'm sorry I'll delete this. I just wanna see how I look like with wings." Li pouts attempting to delete her photo.

"That's not what I meant! You should have called me and do a selfie together." Sofie chuckled poking Li's nose.

"Girls will be forever be girls. Why not let us join you girls?" Diego flies closer to Li and Sofie.

"Tch. What are you? A child? Let's head home!" He frown. Before he could even fly away Sofie grabs his arm and pulls him closer to the group. Li takes a snap and successfully captured the moment. They all laughed at Slacovich's meeting eyebrows on the photo.

"So cute but b.u.mmers. These captives are ruining the moment. Tch." Sofie flies away still giggling while looking at the photo on Li's phone.

"President Slacovich I need money." Li smiles sweetly at Slacovich. He knows what she means.

"Ask Diego about it, he's in the accounting department right?" Slacovich flies away faster leaving them behind. Sofie followed him and keeps up beside him. Diego scratches his head for being confuse.

"What does he mean by that?" Diego looks at Li's smiling face. He blushed a bit and smiles back.

"I will be sending you the proposal for the funds that I'll need." Li the followed the others head of them.

"O-okay. As long as President Slacovich approves it." He also hurried to her side. Li flies separately and landed on a dark area where no one can see her. She can't get inside looking like a mess, so she decided to shapes.h.i.+ft into a lizard. Before turning into one, she remembered the cars they've left. She grab something from her pocket and presses the b.u.t.ton. It activates the selfdestruct features she asked Tyler to add with their cars. It exploded killing Volton's men who's checking the cars. She then went inside the hospital and hurried over to Harry's room.
