The Vampire Project 22 The Spy

As Li enters Harry's private ward, she then turns back into her human form. Harry's sleeping soundly while Ara's peeling some apple as for Tyler, she haven't seen him. She thinks of doing a prank on Ara who never notices her while changing into her human form. She slowly walks behind Ara.

"Boo!" Ara jumped out of her sit and landed on Harry's bed and wakes him up.

"LI! You scared me to death!" Ara blurted out as she tries to calm down. Her heartbeat's racing.

"Omf! Ara my... my injuries." Harry taps her shoulder.

"Omg! I'm so sorry. Li startled me. I didn't mean to." She jumps out the bed and sits back on her chair taking a few deep breaths.

"It's fine, you're not that heavily. Just my wounds aren't healed yet that's why it still hurt." Harry smiles at her. She smiled back and feed Harry the peeled apples.

"By the way, you look like a mess Li."

"Li did you save the lady?" Li just looked down sadly, Harry's able to tell considering her expression.

"We did all that we could but we arrived late. I'm sorry."

"It's alright, it's not your fault."

"What happened to you? Where are the others?"

"We had a tough fight against Volton and his men. We're beaten up but still managed to take down Volton. The others may have arrived at the mansion by this time. They brought the first two targets on the list. Dr. Spencer took them to the s.h.i.+p as baits. Heh, Volton thought that we can't resist human blood, but he failed thanks to the red pill." She gets an apple and takes a big bite.

"Dr. Spencer's too blind to see that she's playing with fire."

"It seems that she unconditionally love Volton. She even serve him her own blood."

"So tell me, is Volton a successful one?"

"Yeah, he's like us but he doesn't know how to take full control over his powers. He's unbelievably strong what more if he knows how to control it. With an army of his own, it will be a total annihilation of the human kind if he lets them out."

"That would be an apocalypse. As long as they act and think like a human we can still do something about it."

"That's why I'm here. He's got a whole lot of a failed army." Harry's eyes widens upon hearing Li's information.

"How can you tell?"

"Volton himself told us that whenever a failed one loses control, the serum takes full control over them. Theyre so thin with bonelike bat wings all bald and faces are disfigured."

"I would have been like that if it wasn't for Tyler's blood." Ara speaks up after being silent for a moment.

"Yes, worst case. Even if they fill up their bellies with blood there's no way they can change back. They'll remain vampires. Deadly ones to be exact."

"As long as Volton won't no anything about our discoveries we will be able to get a few cards up out sleeves."

"He knows that we have something valuable in our hands, its the red pill. But he doesn't have the slightest clue about it."

"We must keep the red pill a secret. No one must know about it." Harry starts to worry. If Volton gets a hand of all his research works, it will be the end of them all.

Meanwhile at the mansion, Slacovich told the others to interrogate Dr. Smith and her subordinate. They asked her everything she knows about the facility.

"Dr. Smith, how are you related to General Johanssen?"

"I don't know who he is."

"Your obviously lying. You know what, my family's thirsty your blood would be a great help. Why not cooperate and we'll make sure you and your friend will sure to see the sun rise."

"Please spare us, I only know General Johanssen because of the program he funded on the hospital. There's a bas.e.m.e.nt, its door is greatly hidden somewhere on the parking area."

"What's in the bas.e.m.e.nt?"

"Chemicals, lots of them. The General wants us to come up with an antidote for a certain BB-HGC serum. He gave us the formula and funds us on reversing it. I don't know what it's for."

"Are you sure? What about your decision on sending the best biochemist on your hospital to the facility?"

"That, the General said he can help him enhance his skills and knowledge for new medicine. That's all he said. I swear on my life."

"Seems like General Johanssen played you for a fool. He used you as his p.a.w.n and you obliged on his requests. Good thing he's gone now."

"What do you mean?" Slacovich turns into a vampire and buries his fangs on her neck. He knows she's telling all she has to tell by drinking her blood. Her memories about what he wants to know flows down to his head. After satisfying himself he then told the other to drink up till they're satisfied. He also told them to spare some for Li.

Tyler arrived at the ward and told Li to go home taking Ara with her. The next day, after taking some good rest they look good as new. They all went to their offices and do their respective workloads like nothing happened last night. As for Harry's case, they just informed his department that he got into an accident last night and currently staying at St. Claire Hospital. His subordinates plans to pay him a visit after work. Li's contact from China sent an email regarding the mission she gave. She rushed to Slacovich's office and told him about it.

"President! I've got news from China. They managed to get into their system but was then blocked. Only this file was taken." She handed out the printed doc.u.ments.

"Let me check." He went through all the pages and looked at Li.

"We can send someone to spy on them using the talent agency as a gateway."

"House of Flame Entertainment, this maybe the main source of his army. Recruiting talents as an alibi then submitting them for some experiments. Volton h.e.l.lgazer, we will stop you no matter what." Slacovich slams the doc.u.ments down on the table.

"Who's it gonna be? Tyler or Ara?"

"This is a serious matter, we can't afford to sign them up just like that. We need to discuss this with them. Contact everyone, let's meet at the mansion. Ask Dr. Spielberg to discharge Harry we'll pick him up on the way." Li immediately sets out to contact everyone. They files for an early off that very day and hurried home. They pick up Harry on their way from the office and together they head home. They gathered in the living room and Li handed out the doc.u.ments regarding the details of the House of Flame Entertainment under the owners.h.i.+p of h.e.l.lflame Inc. Tyler and Ara knows that it's gonna be one of them.

"Slacovich it's gonna be walking into a lion's den. Are you sure we're sending on of them?" Diego's hesitant.

"Volton believes Harry is one of us making it an advantage for us. We should not let Dr. Spencer meet Harry in any way or we'll be find out. Dr. Spencer's information states that we're all six. We can play some tricks on that. As long as Volton's dumb enough to know truths behind lies. We should be careful on spending time outside. There maybe spies following us and checking our every move."

"Then who's it going to be?" Tyler's face gets super serious.

"Dr. Spencer knows that there's 3 girls and 3 boys." Sofie pointed out.

"But Volton doesn't know. Dr. Spencer's too scared to defy Volton. We'll make use of the misinformation between the two of them."

"I'm not letting you send Ara! It's suicide!" Tyler stands up kicking the table in objection.

"Tyler I can do it. I may be not as strong as you guys but I can defend myself. I may be weak but my agility is incomparable with anyone here." She sounds serious.

"Tyler if you go against the majority that just means you don't trust Ara's capabilities." Sofie glared at him.

"Tyler, I know that you're worried. But let me go, trust me on this one." She stares into Tyler's eyes asking for his trust.

"I trust you." He turns his back and stops for a bit. "If anything happens to her I'll make you pay." His eyes are fierce giving everyone a chill on their naped except for Slacovich who admires his stature that very moment.

"What do I need to do?" Ara's motivated to do the mission.

"Make sure to get a contract with the talent agency. They'll be having auditions next week you should prepare for it. I'll back you up secretly pulling some strings. We will not let anything happen to you. Once you sense danger move out immediately. Your life is more important than the informations we can gather." Slacovich taps her shoulder gently and stands up. Sofie sits beside her and squeezes her hands lightly.

"You should probably check on Tyler." She whispered. Tyler's just on the corner listening to them after hearing Slacovich's a.s.surance on her safety he went down to his workshop.

"Ara, I'll ask Tyler to make some gadgets for you. So that we can be able to talk to you and hear everyone's voices at the same time. For now, be a darling and go to Tyler's side. For sure he's in his workshop right now." Li leaves her and helped Diego a.s.sist Harry to his room. Ara knows this mission is important. She may be able to collect informations out from the crew there. She can't let her new family down. For their trust and love, she will do whatever it takes to complete the mission at the risk of her own life.

Tyler locks himself on his workshop creating new tools that Ara can use in her mission. He installed a tracking device on the necklace he bought the other day. He'll give it to Ara the day of the audition. He wants to help her badly, then the thought of a new film that Slacovich invested on struck him. There will be an audition for that too the same day as Ara's audition. He'll ask Slacovich to let him into that film even for a small role. From there, they'll figure out a way to lure the House of Flame Entertainment to cast their own talents for the film. Volton won't miss this chance and surely will get involve. He's inspired to finish the gadgets and discuss his plan secretly to Slacovich.
