She couldn't recognize the person that called her out, but it sounded different from the person before that was searching for her. Carefully, she gently pushed the door. A tall, young man stood in front of the door, kindly smiling at her.

"I apologize for intruding but I've been following you ever since you mentioned about being interested in medicine earlier." He appeared genuine by his words, fitting his appearance. Men during this era were surely beautiful! For this person, he was wearing a light blue robe with a delicate, yet simple design that didn't draw any attention towards him. His eyes were filled with a glimmer of hope and his physique was not too big, but he wasn't skinny also. Unlike Tienzheng, he seems to be more approachable if Suyin had a choice.

Suyin sneered at the man, doubtful whether or not she should believe his words.

"Look, I come from a family that is experts in medicine." He attempted to persuade. "I just found it interesting that a woman would be so interested in learning about medicine..." His voice trailed off, amazed at the idea.

No women would dare to attempt to learn any medicine because they were afraid of being shamed and bullied on. A lady, who is daring enough to go to every medical shop to ask for help was determined to learn about medicine. He was amazed at her headstrong character since most would give up on the idea as a woman.

Suyin didn't trust this man, though. She smiled, "Thank you. I actually do want to learn." She admitted, walking closer to the male. She then dodged him and raced off, running off down the alleyway back into the main road where shops and stalls stood. The man(Liwei) earlier that she questioned was correct from her doubt since she eavesdropped their discussion.

A while ago when she was strolling along the main road, the male (Liwei) flaunted about possessing so much money because a wealthy person from the Long territory had been "obsessed" with beautiful ladies. They grumbled about how he was an old man and seemed "desperate" for such young beauties they had captured back at "the inn."

Suyin couldn't bear the thought and intended to follow them to their base to help free the captured girls that they may have kidnapped. It was a trap that Suyin made when she questioned him casually since she was hoping that he would take in the bait.

Now, she could follow their tracks by using their footsteps to save the girls from being delivered to an obsessed person. Listening about an obsessive, old man reminded her of the past, causing her to groan in disgust in her mind.

It was evening and Suyin didn't want to lose sight of the group of men that walked straight ahead, not noticing the figure (Suyin) from afar who secretly followed their tracks. Upon reaching a pathway made for wolves (similar to a red-light district) a couple of miles far from where Suyin stayed at, the group of men walked into the inn.

"This must be the place." Suyin quietly muttered, watching the yellow words that were written on top of the building.

"XINYI HOST INN"

Now that Suyin understood where their headquarters would be at, she would think of a plan to help and save the women deceived by the wolves hiding in their den. She hurried off back to the inn to Areum, plotting a risky, yet brilliant plan to save them.

-------------------------------

"Did I just get rejected?" The man questioned himself, chuckling as he watched Suyin dash off. He was planning on saving her if the group of men came since he followed her, but she somehow was clever enough to think and hid away from them. He shook his head, regretting that he missed an opportunity to speak to her about his private room collection on books about medicine. With nothing else to do, he strolled back home.

Upon entering the entrance, his servant bowed. "Young master, the Prince of Qin had arrived. He is waiting in your courtyard." He gave a nod and hastened to his courtyard.

Qin Fuhua sat down on a stone chair, sipping on a cup of tea in the man's pavilion. He was the only person who was around the courtyard at the time since no one dared to approach the man.

He detected the Prince, bowing. "Welcome, your Highness!" He addressed. Qin Fuhua elevated his hand, ushering that there was no need for a welcome.

"Cheng Wansun, the son of the royal doctor in our nation." Qin Fuhua remarked, spinning his teacup in a circle. A small amount of tea enough for a gulp was left in Qin Fuhua's teacup and he observed it swirl in a rhythm.

"I apologize for the delay, your Highness. What do you need from someone who is nothing but a mere grain of rice for you?" Wansun questioned, unsure about the Prince's request.

"I want you to check if my injury has healed or is in progress in healing." Qin Fuhua pulled his robe down. The silk, peach cloth was still wrapped around his shoulders.

"Y-Yes, your Highness." Wansun promptly undid the knot from the fabric. He examined the Prince's shoulders, marking that the bleeding had stopped a long time ago.

"Your Highness." Wansun's eyebrows lowered, concentrating on the Prince's shoulders and the silk fabric with the dead leaves, now soaked in blood. "Whoever helped treat your wounds did an amazing job! From the looks of it, the person took care of your wound, placed pressure to stop the bleeding, and used these herbs to treat both the bleeding and wound so that the injury didn't turn out to become a scar." He looked at Qin Fuhua, stunned at the skills that the person had to treat him.

"Then it seems like I was correct then." Qin Fuhua nodded, finis.h.i.+ng the tea that lingered in his cup.

"You could have treated it yourself with the medical powder, but you didn't in order to see how this wound would heal, correct?"

Qin Fuhua only nodded at the man's guess. Wansun was correct, the Prince did not come for any medical examinations, but for an answer that he sought for. Although it was quite unusual for Qin Fuhua to go to Wansun instead of his father, he a.s.sumed that he didn't want to cause a ruckus in the palace about his injury.

Qin Fuhua was skeptical about the girl's medical skills, but she was far smarter than he had expected. Not only did she pay attention to the amount of blood that could have been lost, but she found a specific type of herb to help heal his wounds quickly so it wouldn't become a scar on his body.

"Your Highness, if you do not mind me asking, who helped you with this wound?" Wansun asked, curious about the fabric that now laid on the table. Whoever wrapped his shoulders wrapped it firmly but with a small pull, it easily fell apart to allow others to easily detect the injury location.

"Just someone who I b.u.mped into and was a ha.s.sle to deal with." Qin Fuhua replied in a sarcastic tone, paying no attention to Wansun's amazement with the medical work that the person had portrayed. "Since I got the answer I expected, I shall take my leave." Qin Fuhua graciously bowed his head, excusing himself as he exited Wansun's courtyard.

Wansun, on the other hand, was amazed at the work that the Savior did to help the Prince. If possible, the next time that Wansun encounters the Prince again, he would ask if he knew who and where the savior was located at.

--------

"Really?!" Areum slammed her hands on the table, ushering Suyin to tone her voice down.

"Shh." Suyin smirked. "It was just as I expected. I overheard the man talk about an old, perverted man back in our hometown." She began covering her chest with a white wrap so the b.u.mp would not be visible. "Either it's that old man who I would have been stuck with or another person." She tied her hair up with a white, plain ribbon.

"Whether or not it's them, we have to rescue those girls. I'm not letting any more men take advantage of us as a female anymore." Suyin uttered, staring outside through the window. The sun was setting down and the chattering citizens began dying down as it was time for people to go home. It was an opportunity for Suyin to find out what was occurring at the brothel inn.

"Are you sure that you don't need me?" Areum was worried about Suyin. Suyin finished up dressing up, slipping on the outer garment of her robe. She now transformed into a fine, young man, wearing a silk-blue robe that Areum had taken from her father's wardrobe in case they needed to cross-dress to hide their ident.i.ty. The luxury robe was a bit bigger on Suyin, but it portrayed prosperity and luck. She grinned as Areum watched in awe.

"You sure will pa.s.s as a man" Areum nodded, confident in Suyin's plan. Suyin nodded, heading out.

"I'll be back, I promise."
