Sitting next to Susu was a huge disadvantage for Karen because their tastes in clothing were extremely different. While Susu enjoyed the simple styles, Karen loved the overly exaggerated outfits. Just like today, her outfit was a sleeveless dress with the collar similar to a traditional Qipao and the rest of the dress designed with many shapes and patterns.

Karen's dress was royal blue colored and the shapes were flamboyantly outlined. In many people's eyes, this design is considered outrageously ugly and would have never been made. Not only did it not accentuate one's body, it flattened out one's curves as well. Karen confidently stepped out of her house looking like that with a huge b.u.t.terfly handbag that was the newest season of a famous France collection.

When she waved the purse in Susu's face, she expected Susu to show signs of jealousy or envy, but she was so calm that Karen felt like she had been neglected and ignored. Gritting her teeth, she looked at Tian Yuo who looked entranced by Susu's beauty. Her plan not only didn't work, it even backfired.

She forced her lips to tilt upwards as she complimented Susu, "Sis, what a nice dress you're wearing. Which brand is it from?" Karen knew that after moving out, Susu worked under some company and was probably too poor to afford luxuries.

"Not sure. A friend gift it to me." Her answer was honest and straightforward. Of course, Karen wouldn't back down just like that. Karen thought that Susu's brand was extremely unknown that she had found her weakness. 'How could I let you slide just from responding that you don't know?'

She got up from her seat and lightly pulled Susu's dress from behind, "Come on sis! I just wanted to know because I think it would look good on me as well. The brand wouldn't be any lowly, poor one, right?"

Susu didn't fight it and only made sure that Karen did not take this chance to undress her in front of everyone. When Karen saw the tag, the smile on her face froze.

"Well?" Susu mockingly asked.

"C..Chuoyin...brand..." Karen said in a much lowered voice than before. The excitement in her voice had obviously dropped down. Susu smiled and fixed her dress neatly, "Now that you satisfied your curiosity, would you like to see the brand for my bag as well? Oh, and my accessories."

Susu lifted her handbag and slowly showed it to Karen, leaving Karen in despair. Compared to Susu's outfit, handbag and jewelries, Karen's overalls were considered smaller than the cost of a potato. Earlier, Susu had felt the fabric of the dress and could already guess from how well the dress was produced that the price of this entire outfit combined is worth more than hundreds of millions.

She purposely lured Karen out of her true sh.e.l.l and made her reveal her colorful arrogant nature. Liang Yu Qing quickly told Susu to put away her handbag in case it gets dirtied from the dishes that are about to arrive any minute. With a smile on her face, Susu asked the waiter to bring her another chair and placed the handbag onto it.

Meanwhile, Karen stared at her new handbag that's sitting on the cold floor. Karen couldn't help the humiliation and needed to find something to brag. Though her outfit for tonight cost less compared to Susu's, she was the designer of it. Therefore, it would be more special than a gift from Susu's friend.

Just when she opened her mouth, wanting to flaunt about her design, Susu tilted her head and commented, "By the way, Karen, your taste in clothing hasn't changed at all. But it's the same for other things as well. The design on your outfit was either poorly sketched or the person who produced it is an amateur. The colors do not match, and the designs make people feel dizzy. I suggest that you change this brand or else someone may mistake you for an elder. What's this brand name called?"

Karen gulped and remained silent when she heard such insults from her. This outfit took her three nights to sketch out and another month to sew together. She did it all by herself and was very proud of it. She even thought it looked perfectly beautiful on herself. "Sis! That's rude to say."

"Oh? Is it? Then is it not rude for you to lay your unwashed hands on my dress without my permission? But same thing back to you, my curiosity for which brand this dress belonged to, has heightened. I would put this brand ad designer to my blacklist for sure. So? You want to tell me or should I give you a hand?"

Everyone sitting at the table remained quiet as tension rose. Zin Leung couldn't take the silence and spoke, "Susu, Karen made this dress for her birthday. No need to be harsh on her."

"Okay. If you say so, then I've been too harsh on her, but I hope she has learned that comparisons can kill." Susu's voice didn't reveal a pinch of sweetness nor warmth like her regular self. It felt as if she was talking to a table of strangers and fighting back when someone bites her.

Everyone noticed the difference in her tone when she spoke, especially Zin Leung. Finally, dishes began to arrive. Susu watched as the waitresses placed plate after plate of extremely oily, spicy, somewhat raw, and salty varieties of foods onto the table.

On the outside, n.o.body could tell what she was thinking, but Susu was planning on ordering a light vegetable dish for herself since she had to be on a strict diet while on medication. Karen didn't give her a chance to order as she quickly placed a piece of sweet and sour rib onto Susu's plate.

Susu stared at the piece of meat and left it untouched on the plate while she looked for a waiter. Seconds later, annoying sobs could be heard from beside her. She rolled her eyes and turned around to see Karen shedding her historically famous tears, "S..sis . I knew it.. I knew that you didn't like me. I knew that you didn't like Brother Yuo and me together. But you didn't have to make it that obvious to not touching the innocent piece of meat on your plate."

Karen knew that Susu had cancer, so before dinner, she purposely researched the foods that patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia should not have. She ordered everything on the menu that Susu cannot eat too. 'At least today I can push you closer to death.'

Zin Leung frowned when he saw Susu's behavior, "Susu, today is for yours and Karen's birthday. You shouldn't make a scene out of personal grudges. Hurry and apologize to Karen. Eat the piece of meat on your plate that she placed." A moment of happiness spiked inside of Tian Yuo because he thought that Susu was playing hard to get. If that's the case, then he can definitely get her to stay married to him.

Susu faintly smiled and was about to get up to stuff the piece of meat into Karen's mouth to cut her annoying voice off, but a deep, dangerous voice made her pause in her actions. She turned around to the familiar voice and a hint of warmth spread in her eyes.

"With me here, I'll see who dares force her to do what she doesn't want to do." Chen Mu stood with his arms crossed and slowly walked to Susu's side. Lily grabbed a bowl filled with food and stood at the best angle to watch this show unfold. 'Best juice of the year! Win her over with your manly nature! Ya! f.u.c.k flowers and those boring romantic overused stuff! This is way better!!'
