Inside a huge five storey building with a sigh 'Friendly Cleaning Services' people who were dressed in guard clothes with guns and batons were lying knocked out all over the places with their one or the other limbs bent in unnaturally ways.

You could still hear people screaming and bullets firing from time to time. And after a few minutes everything went quiet.

At this time deep inside the building Max was standing in front of a middle-aged man and asked, "Who put the bounty on my head?!!!"

That man was sweating profusely and said, "Mr. Argent, you know we can't disclose that to you."

Max took out his combat knife and said, "One last chance, you answer it right and I walk away. If you don't answer I'll start gutting it out of you and I'll walk away."

That Man heard Max and gulped. He knew that if he told Max that he'd be dead by tomorrow. But before he could refuse Max talked again, "Well, you could just stay quiet. I don't usually kill. But we all know living without arms and legs wouldn't be fun, right?" Max said with a grin.

Hearing this, that man saw the security guards lying around with their arms and legs twisted. He s.h.i.+vered thinking of living a life without arms or legs. So he said, "Give me a minute. I'll find out, Mr. Argent."

And he went to his computer and started looking for the bounty list. After a few minutes he said, "For certain situations, we don't usually take in all the information of the contractors. So I only got a name this time." And he showed Max the computer screen.

Max read it, "Hayley Marshall." And was thinking, (Why does this sound so familiar?) Then he remembered that she is the one from the other TV series he was watching. Then he kept on thinking again, (Why would she put a bounty of 20 million on my head? I don't think I ever know her. Then why?) He decided that he'll meet her in person soon.

Max then looked at the Man who was sitting and s.h.i.+vering slightly. He went to him and broke one of his legs and said, "This is for taking the bounty on me. Next time I won't stop with one leg. I might break a few more."

That man was holding his leg and screaming a bit. No matter who they are, pain is universal. That man learned good lesson today.

Max jumped out of the window and flew out.

After Peter was killed in the night, Max and others went looking for Jackson for some payback. Max was planning to break Jackson's each and every bone for what he did. But to their demise they found that Jackson never came home from yesterday.

Max tried sensing for Jackson, but he couldn't find him anywhere inside Beacon Hills. So he decided to wait for him. He knew Jackson would come back sooner or later, because Jackson hated their group a bit too much. So at least to take his revenge, he'll be back.

Max spent the next few days easily. But soon that changed as he was attacked when he was in his home. He took care of the guy who attacked him and asked him 'nicely' about why he attacked him, and the reply he got was that someone put a bounty on him.

At first he thought that it was Peter that put a bounty on him, when he was catching Peter that night. But now that he thought about it, he didn't know who put a bounty on him. He thought he'd take care of it any more mercenaries if they come in.

But soon he soon got irritated by it. He was being attacked almost everywhere, even when he was making out with Selena he was being attacked by a sniper.

He got p.i.s.sed off after a couple of weeks of their attack. So that night he sensed through out the town and going dozens of mercenaries and broke their spine and threw them in front of the hospital with high speed.

When he reached near his home be saw Chris waiting for him. he said, "What's up, Dad?"

Chris looked at Max and said, "You know they're gonna keep on coming, right?"

Max knew what Chris was taking about. So he said, "I know. They're starting to get on my nerves now."

Chris saw that Max was having a tough time with them, so he gave Max a pendrive and said, "The location and their security detail are inside. Let them know that n.o.body hunts the Hunters." as Chris was saying this his eyes were not as sharp as they used to be in the past.

Chris was also bothered. He knew that Max had lots of secrets and he could protect himself, but as a father he couldn't help but worry. So he got all the info he needed from some of his old connections.

This year Max and his family underwent a lot of changes. Max is keeping a lot of secrets. And some are more dangerous than the other. Chris tried to ask Max about how he got stronger and what else was he hiding, but every time Max will shrug him off.

Today Chris wanted to know how his son will proceed on future so he used that information as an excuse to start up a conversation. He said, "So what do you plan to do after you clear up this bounty thing?"

Max looked at his dad and said, "Dad, you know that there are lot of other supernatural creatures out there. Sooner or later one of them will threaten our family. I'm planning to do what I was born to do. I can continue my studying, but that'll only get me so far."

Chris looked at his son and felt that Max was more matured than a year before. He didn't what his son to be a Full time Hunter this soon. But if Max had made a decision he can only support it. So he sighed and said, "Well, you do what you have to do. But remember live by the code die by the code. Don't cross it. We've already seen what happens when someone choose to forgo the code."

Max sternly watched Chris and said, "Dad, I've changed my code a long time ago. My code, 'Kill your enemies to protect your friends', I've been following this for a long time. I know I'm selfish. But if the world is ending and I have to do nothing to keep my family safe, then I'll do nothing."

Chris frowned upon hearing this and asked, "When it comes to question of morality you should know that what you're saying is wrong."

Max just smiled and said, "Dad, what would you and Mom do if you were given a similar choice?"

Chris turned silent. He had supported his son in killing Gerard. What else was he not capable of giving up for good kids. He was proud and sad at the same time.

Max stood there for a while and said, "When I'm not here, take care of Selena. She's family to me just like you guys. I might be a bit late. I need to take care of the guy who put that bounty on me afterwards."

Chris nodded and said, "Take care." And left to his home.

Max soon figured out from the pendrive about all the agencies nearby Beacon Hills that will take a bounty on him.

Looking at the list Max thought that it'll be a ha.s.sle to run to all the branches here so after a few weeks of training he learned how to fly using his ki for his easy and unrestrained traveling.

Within weeks he was able to clear out most of the agencies. He didn't kill them. But he basically crippled them for life. By the time he reached the 'Friendly Cleaning Services' his name had speared almost all over the world. As he's the one who hunted down the mercenaries and their agencies because a bounty was placed on him. After that n.o.body dared to choose his bounty.

And hearing that Max was coming to their agency, The Friendly Cleaning Services had brought in extra cavalry. But because of Max's speed they all meant nothing. Even before the guards knew what happened, they were lying on the floor with broken arms or legs.
