Gemi and Mini looked at each other and exchanged a few glances. After that, they picked up Crux, who was still on the floor, brought him outside the office and threw him onto a bed in the infirmary and dashed out to the entrance so they could go greet their guest.

At the outside of the base in the thought to be middle of nowhere, was our Cole.

He was scanning the premise from that one spot and had already deducted where all the surveillance cameras were.

He wasn't going to wreck them or else that may be used as a weapon against them if he ended up working with them and the repair costs for damages were going to come from his paycheck.

It was also to leave a good impression.

It totally wasn't because that he didn't care whether or not he was caught because he could totally fight back. Yup, totally not.

He looked around the premises a bit and didn't find anything. As in, anything at all. It was as if the only thing that existed in the entire place was the base, the sky, and the ground.

'Should I just go back...?'

Cole was just thinking of calling Felicia to go back home, when the giant metal doors of the place, slowly sided open.

Puffs and waves of dust a.s.saulted Cole's face, causing him to have to wipe his face and blink his eyes a few times.

When he could properly take a look, he saw a pair of twins appear in front of him.

It was a pair of a boy and a girl, with the boy dressing up as some kind of military official while the girl looked to be some kind of daughter.

They seemed pretty young so Cole guessed that they were but could semi-expect them to be older than what they appeared to be.

"He's tall, unlike you, Gemi."

"Shut up, Nii! You're about the same height as me!"

"Well, I'm fine with my current stature."

"...Grrr..."

"!!"

When Cole heard the squabble between the two siblings, he could remember a memory from a long time to ago.

When young Cole was faced with these kind of children or people, he always had one thought in mind.

Cole kneeled down on one knee asked the little girl in front of him. Although she replied in a somewhat rude tone, Cole didn't mind it.

"You're still young, you can grow taller. That's what happened to me, so..."

A spark had appeared in her eyes with hope. But her brother's was just filled with the feeling of 'I told you that many times before' and of not caring anymore.

"... Stop b.i.t.c.hing about your height. You're to receive a guest right?"

That spark had diminished just as quickly as both their heads were knocked on, the sister was knocked out while her brother just watched.

"... Okay, I'm Mini and she's Gemi. We're here to receive you or was supposed to..."

Mini said as he stared at his pa.s.sed out sister, despite him being the real reason for her to get hit in the first place.

Cole was then led inside by Mini into the base with Gemi lying like a sack on his shoulder because Mini couldn't carry her.

What Cole saw inside didn't cause him any kind of shock or wonder, it instead made him feel nostalgia.

When they entered, it was a lobby like any corporate building except, it was filled with all these different kinds of cool tech.

Holographic screens and tube shaped, gla.s.s elevators with neon colors.

It gave the place a futuristic feel but it onlyade Cole feel as if he was back in his 'present' while stuck in the past.

There were people bustling around the place and they were all Mechanica of different shapes and sizes.

They didn't notice the party enter though. Cole had thought up of a reason for it and decided to question Mini about it later.

Mini took note of this and led Cole to an empty elevator and pressed his palm on a circular panel, causing the elevator b.u.t.ton panel to switch with another.

Mini pressed a b.u.t.ton which had the zodiac sign for a Gemini.

Cole observed all of this and thought that maybe the twins were the head of a department or something.

The elevator riding was really smooth and they reached their destined floor in no time.

As the elevator doors slided open, Cole was able to fully gaze at the tall a.s.s floor.

It was basically a warehouse.

Mini stepped outside first and and then showed a welcoming smile while he gleefully said.
