The sound of high heels. .h.i.tting the floor resounded out through lobby along with the clanging of metal armor. The lobby's doors opened and the pair that came out from it was a pair that Cole didn't know too well.

Lucille was wearing her usual outfit while Clyde just silently followed behind her. Looking like a true knight. But the eye bags under his eyes made Cole wonder if the dude was facing any difficulties.

As Cole stared at Lucille and Clyde entering, Aries, Pisces(?), Virgo(?), Taurus(?) and even Gemi and Mini filed into a line.

Pisces, at some point in time, had changed from his shabby set of clothing into a full-fledged suit.

Cole's position also just happened to be in line with them. How convenient.

"Ara... Aries, you didn't have to prepare such a party to welcome me. You even got rid of all the people in the lobby."

'So that's why there was no commotion over 5 Department Heads being gathered in one place.'

Cole had wondered why they were the only people in the entire lobby. Even the front desk clerk had disappeared.

"Ah, don't worry about it. It's a simple thing to do for my best friend~!"

As Aries said that with a face that only spoke of bliss, all the Department Heads sighed inwardly. They all had important stuff to do but they knew that if not even a few of them showed up, their Leader would threaten their positions.

'The experiment was just about to start...'

'I was reaching a breakthrough in my research...'

'The senior recruits were supposed to have their ceremony today...'

''We ended up having to cancel a meeting with one of the major weapon manafacturers from the〈Avant Zone〉...''

She wouldn't fire them in the end because all of them were extremely competent and she couldn't just find a replacement that easily.

Except for the previous Libra head. He was a giant drunkard and ended up drowning during the Department Head Recreational Party.

Just letting you know, but this just happened one month before Cole got recruited.

After chatting a bit more with Aries, Lucille directed her attention towards Cole.

"So, Cole. How is your first day of work so far?"

"Umm... Let's see. When I was about to properly greet my subordinates, a red-haired ram came barging and even destroyed the elevator in the process. I was only able to avoid a fight by threatening the ram with money."

The other Department Heads went silent (even though they already were) while Lucille reacted with a confused expression on her face. Aries was probably turning into a War G.o.d right then there while Clyde didn't care.

Was the collective thought of the present Department Heads when they learned of their Leader's weakness.

When Lucille finally fully processed what Cole had just told her. She turned to face Aries with an ominous, black aura emitting from her.

"Aries... What is the meaning of this?"

Although she wasn't yelling outright, you could clearly hear the rage oozing out form her tone and voice.

Now, Lucille wouldn't be mad just because it was Cole. She would get mad if it happened to even an employee that was at the rock bottom of the ladder. Her anger mostly came from the fact that her friend had caused unnecessary damage to company property even though she was well able

not to.

"Umm... Uh, well... You see, Lucy."

"And also, instead of being able to properly meet the other Department Heads. I was dragged here all for the purpose of greeting you. Even when I could be spending my valuable time doing something productive. I a.s.sume it was the same for the other Department Heads."

Lucille then confronted the other Department Heads with a stare so intimidating that they felt compelled to answer whatever question she threw at them.

"What were you guys doing before this?"

She first asked the little blonde girl and although she seemed nervous, her nervousness immediately went on vacation before she bravely stated what she was doing prior to greeting her.

"I was nearing a breakthrough on my research on the beings knowns as〈Xeno〉, your Majesty. Unfortunately, I left my laptop in my office and was unable to continue it while waiting for you."

A vein started to bulge from Lucille's forehead and Clyde behind her started getting anxious about his Queen's foul mood. She then questioned azure highlight man next.

"I was about to conduct the first experiment in using a corrupt〈Sano Leaf〉It was a test to see if there was another way of removing〈Corruption〉."

" In fact, just a few seconds before you arrived. I received a message from the other researchers notifying me that it failed due to me not being able to provide my supervision. My deepest apologies, Lucille."

The vein bulge increased two times further and Clyde was preparing to pull his sword if need be.

"How about you two."

"We were about to have a meeting."

"With an important weapons manufacturer form the〈Avant Zone〉"

Clyde's hand was firmly gripping his sword handle.

"And you?"

It looked like she would send everyone and everything the Demon Realm if she was told another bad answer. Aries finally started getting nervous because Lucille's face had turned fully into that of a Demon's. (She is one though.)

"The senior recruits were just about to have their graduation ceremony. Although you are unable to tell, I am crying under my mask because I am unable to attend it, your Highness."

"..."

Lucille's eyes had turned fully dead and were glaring a hole right through Aries. If looks could kill, where in places where you could shoot laser beams through your eyes magically or scientifically, Aries would have been fully disintegrated.

"Aries. Two thousand head bashes. One thousand by Clyde's swords and another by self-harm."

Clyde had his silver longsword fully pulled out by now and immediately started hitting Aries with the flat side of the blade. Although he may not look it, Clyde was pretty confident in his practice swings.

"OW!"

"OUCH!"

"AIYA!"

Aries pained screams resounded out through the lobby and she crouched down as if it made the pain any better. Everyone just stared at the sight and had magically pulled out a giant bag of cheese-flavored popcorn (provided by Gemi and Mini) to eat and pa.s.s around.

"Clyde, keep her there. I'll attend any meetings today in her place."

"Okay. But please don't forget about me. Please remember that the reason I have these eyebags is that you made me do the same thing to a Demon n.o.ble."

"I know. I only make mistakes once."

"Times infinity when it comes to your sense of direction."

Light-hearted banter came from the two demons as Lucille faced the Department Heads again.

"I am sorry for your irresponsible leader. As most of you know, she can be a good one. Just don't enter her personal life."

Everyone just gave a nod and continued to munch on the provided popcorn as they continued to watch the spectacle of their boss getting smashed on the head over and over again. But Cole had a question to ask since he didn't remember any kind of world where an important sponsor could do such a thing.

"By the way, Lucille. Are you really only an important sponsor?"

"What, they didn't tell you?"

Cole was confused but nothing showed on his emotionless and cold face that remained like such during the entire series of events.

"Tell me what?"

"I'm a Co-Founder."

"Oh, okay."

Cole just accepted the fact and Gemi and Mini had brought in an entire box of popcorn while Virgo(?), Pisces(?), and Taurus(?) had become fully engrossed in the show.

Huh? What about the important things they had going on? They could put those on hold. Seeing you superior getting beat up, however. Was something that would only happen once a thousand years.
