"...〈Augment: Void Physique〉!!! I thought that it would take at least another 100 to a thousand years to see one! You even have an exceptional apt.i.tude for〈Chaos Magic〉!"

"Really? Is that true, your Majesty?"

Lucille had an extremely excited expression and her star-shaped pupils seemed to s.h.i.+ne like an actual star. Clyde's dead tired face seemed to hold a bit of surprise but it still seemed too tired to change it that much since his eyes only widened slightly.

He expressed doubt at his Queen's a.s.sessment but it was minimal at best. Apparently, that was enough to sour Lucille's mood.

"Clyde, you dare doubt my appraisal ability?"

"I'm sorry, but what exactly is this〈Augment: Void Physique〉all about?"

Cole, still not being told anything fully about anything due to the overall laziness and unwillingness of the people around him to voice the explanation and was usually led to read pages of those things instead (He read them quite quickly so it wasn't that big of a problem), said his question in hopes of it being slightly different.

Lucille regained her bright appearance and started to enthusiastically explain to Cole about his incredibly rare Physique.

"The〈Augment: Void Physique〉nullifies all magic attacks against you; including curses, debuffs, and curses. But this also affects ally magic. You can't be healed or buffed and magic potions also don't work. There is also a certain limit on how much your body can nullify."

"If it was an Area of Effect attack, you could nullify some of it but stray marks could still damage you since it's intent wasn't directed at you."

"Intent?"

Cole's head was starting to form a picture on how Magic seemed to operate and could piece together the gaps wiht his own imagination and sensible Magic systems that existed in some of the novels he read since that was the only thing that could serve something like a reference to him.

"Yeah, intent. Magic is mainly based on intent and the use of 'Mana' to convey that intent ot the world to cause a phenomenon among a Set. I'll give you a book on how to use it and some written notes about your Physique. This brings us to your special apt.i.tude for〈Chaos Magic〉"

Cole started to feel genuinely interested in the unique element of the〈Fantasia Zone〉A bit of his excitement showed on his face with a faint blush. It made him look really cute and the few people that dared to pa.s.s by the important people instead of taking an alternate route and happened to see the sight nearly fainted before immediately returning back.

That small blush only showed for a single second though.

Anyway, Lucille snapped her fingers which prompted Clyde to pull out a small leather notebook that... fitted somewhere in his suit of armor.

Clyde flipped through the pages for a bit before stopping on a particular one and puleld out a bookmark from the pocket inside somewhere his armor and placed it on the page and handed it over to Lucille.

"Let's see... Chaos Magic is unique on how it does not have a set of predetermined phenomena listed as a Set. Chaos Magic is driven solely by the caster's intent, and well, chaotic. Let me give you an example. Clyde."

Clyde moved a bit farther away from Lucille and Cole for a safe distance and pulled out a steel wand from his greaves.

'He could've hung it on his waist or something... Is it so that it won't accidentally fall off or get stolen by your enemy unknowingly?'

Despite thinking of this, Cole focused on Clyde, wondering what was he about to do?

Clyde put the wand forward and wrote in midair. His hand moved so fast that it turned into a blur, leaving a string of glowing blue letters in its trail.

'...Greek?'

Cole thought for a moment as he saw the letters and could recognize them. He had to study it due to it being the main language on a foreign planet.

'...Nero? Water?'

He wasn't able to truly tell if they really were greek letters or not for as soon as Clyde stopped writing, the letters faded away and instead of being wisped away, it looked more like they were being absorbed into the world.

Not even a fraction of a second after, water blades exploded in front of Clyde. However, before the blades even made contact wiht anything, Clyde put down his wand and the blades fell onto the ground and formed normal puddles of water.

"That's what normal magic is like. You can either recite the words and incant the spell or write it in its letter form. Both ways express an intent that is limited by words. So, in those words, are a set that can be used as magic. Technically, every word can be turned into a kind of magic but so far, it only activates if the intent is 'Set' to〈Attack〉,〈Aid〉or〈a.s.sess〉"

Clyde started to clean up the puddles in the background with the use of his wand again as Lucille explained a bit more about Magic and lifted up 3 fingers to show her point. Cole didn't say anything and soley focused on the words Lucille was saying and absorbed it into his memory.

Lucille got another cup of her Wilderthorn tea because her throat was getting dry and continued.

"Now, Chaos Magic isn't limited to those three intents, and can go even beyond. But the more bizarre and chaotic it is, the harder it is to cast and WILL take a toll on the caster's mental state."

Lucille stressed the will part, meaning that even with Cole's unique Magic Physique, it couldn't nullify the side-effects of overusage.

'Hmm... I guess the t.i.tle Chaos Magic isn't just for show.'

Cole thought of the different and numerous possibilities that had opened up before them, he decided to chat with Felicia over it a bit and see if anything insightful could come about from their discussion.

"Oh, and another thing. There are Types of Magic and can be generally sorted into your generic 'Element' category with water, fire, ice and whatnot that have schools of Mages. There's also〈Holy Magic〉and〈Cursed Magic〉but that's restricted to High-ranking Angels and Demons respectively. There's also〈Sorcery〉which is different to the usual Magic but I'll let you read up on that later."

Lucille took a few sips from her tea and finally allowed Cole to go back to work. It surprisingly took less time than he thought.

But before Cole fully left her sight, Lucille asked Cole a question.

"Are you going to ask me on how I know you're mother yet?"

"..."

Cole didn't say anything. He didn't stop walking back to the elevator. It seemed that Lucille's words had no effect on him at all.

But even so, Lucille could tell that with the mention of his mother, Cole's head was thrown into chaos. Even if she couldn't see his face or peer inside his mind, she knew.

Because that was the kind of boy that his mother would always lovingly tell her about. A child that cared about the people close to him too much for his own good much like the woman herself.

Cole boarded the elevator, leaving Clyde and Lucille there.

"...In the sense in how much he cares for people close to him, he's really like you..."

Lucille peered at her reflection through her cup of tea and was reminded of one of her beloved friends.

"Irene..."

Clyde stood beside his Queen, allowing her to wallow in nostalgia, while only staying silently by her side.
