"I choose potioneering."

The professor smiled.

"Good choice, even though magic crafting is one of my skills, I am only at the intermediate level with that. Potioneering on the other hand, I have reached the grandmaster level. I am one of the most experienced potioneering masters on the Derock island chain."

"Then why do you work here if you are that good?"

"They give me all the research materials that I need. Anyways drink this."

He handed him a gray colored potion. Sirius drunk that and had a slight headache.

"Here is a potioneering set. I'll let you pick a recipe for free."

The professor threw a book at Sirius. After looking around in the book, he picked fasting potion.

"Why did you pick this potion?"

"So I don't get hungry on long trips or certain adventures."

"I'll demonstrate for you a few times and that's it. Watch closely."

The professor demonstrated a few times. With his perception, Sirius got the hang of it after a few times. He was then given materials to practice on his own. He failed after all the attempts he did on that day. The professor said that it was normal to fail during the first week. Even super geniuses fail on their first day. So after two weeks of trying and using up a lot of resources, he finally succeeded.

"Finally, you succeeded after two weeks. That is considered good to most people, but to me, you barely reached my expectations. With the amount of resources you had, you should have succeeded earlier! If you had kept on failing, I would have kicked you out of the academy for making me lose face!"

Then an armored guard came into the lab and gave him a letter. He then left. The professor read the letter, and as he read the read the letter, his face turned sour. After the letter, he slammed his fist down on the desk in rage.

"d.a.m.nit!"

"What is it?"

"Read this!"

After he read the letter, he was shocked. The letter stated that the three grade 2 kingdoms finally went to war. It also stated that Sirius was drafted into the war. He was to report to Fort Denvis by the end of the week.

"I had a whole training schedule planned out for you. Then this came and ruined all of that! And this is an order by the king!"

"The king asked for me specifically?"

"Not you specifically. The king ordered that all otherworlders must report to a military base at camp by the end of the week. I can't do anything about it. So before you leave, I will cram everything that I planned to teach you into a few days. Get ready for h.e.l.l."

'I have a bad feeling about this.'
