BERTRIM ACADEMY 17 Chapter 17: Proposed Plan

The school board, some senior students, and few of the university professor's gathered that night for discussion.

"Good evening! as we all know it is time to choose skilled and talented students to undergo training. As part of our routine, new groups should be made and the floor is open for suggestions." The school president started speaking.

"I'd like to nominate Mr. Arthur Robles, we will need his expertise."

"I want to nominate Ms. Clara Bronte, she's excellent choice as an informant."

"I'm sorry, wouldn't be better that we train all freshmen students? By doing this we prevent the lack of resources." one of the seniors asked after hearing the others vote.

"That is actually a good suggestion, if we do that, the only thing we have to prepare on is to choose team leaders. What do you think Mr. Cross?" A woman agreed and ask Mr. Cross, thus everyone looked at him while he was contemplating what was suggested.

"What you're suggesting is sound but the possible outcome is troubling for me. However, I do see the need to increase the number so... I would like to move the suggestion." Mr. Cross explanation.

"Now, that settles it. We start nominating for the team leaders then." The emcee mentioned.

The list making was tiring and long but comparing it from the pa.s.s nomination meeting, this was shorter but still end up at 1 in the morning. They have created 15 leaders after much debate.

"By the end of next semester we will have a shorter list but more qualified groups." The emcee finalized and all left the room.

NEW YEAR CELEBRATION!!!

It was the eve before new year and all students were asked to prepare for the celebration. They were a.s.signed in the different areas, some are in the kitchen, decorations, fireworks, music, and others. Arthur, Akira and a.n.a.lyze were not spared with the work and Arthur is still thinking about how he would tell them about what he learned from the other school.

"Hey! Art, are you alright? you have been quiet lately." Arthur heard Akira ask and decided to tell them what he knows.

"It's nothing, I'm fine, but I have some important information to tell you guys." Arthur answered.

"Okey, its noisy out here. Why don't we move away from the crowd." Akira suggested. They both agreed and walk for at least 15 minutes before they stop.

"This place will be fine. Akira, do you remember Carl?" Art started.

"Yes, I remember him. Is it connected to what you have to say?"

"Actually he approached me months ago and ask me to read two books." He said and showed the books.

"I read this Bermuda thing last semester, however it has missing pages." Akira said after looking at the t.i.tles.

"Good, you read it. Sis, you don't have to read it, it contains dates and events happened that are connected to the Bermuda Triangle."

"Brother, everyone knows about that place. what is the connection of this to Carl and what are you trying to tell us?" Ana replied and Art just sigh.

"This school was built to create protectors against whatever is inside the triangle. Each of the students are all recruited base on what they can do. The entrance exam is just one of them. Here, this are the last pages of the book. Carl gave it to me, if you plan on asking me where I get it." Both Akira and Ana read it, while he continued to talk.

"It is said that the creatures in this other book are found in there and they also recruit people from here to work for them. In addition, they can come in and go from that place without us noticing them because they look exactly like humans in appearance."

"This is too much to take in, even if I partially doubt it. However, I know you brother and I trust you." Ana said looking at her brother.

"You said they look like us physically? How can we know that they are not?" Akira asked but suddenly remembered his past.

"They plan on training us, I dont know how but they will. We have to be prepared mentally when this happened." Art ended his explanation removing the reason behind the fight.

They become quiet for a few minutes before Akira start telling them a story.

"When I was in grade school, some of my cla.s.smates were making pranks to our teacher. They rarely get caught but one time a kid was standing beside the school building looking at the playground and some kids were playing. I went to ask him if he wants to join the team he just look at me, his eyes they were bright like fire then I heard someone shouting fire in the middle of the playground. So, I look at the playground and saw someone got caught by fire, when I look back at him his eyes were back to normal brown and he just turn around and left. To add to that I remember having a dream and I was being attack but someone came and saved me, its a woman with silver eyes."

"Silver eyes? If my a.s.sumption is true. I might know why they choose you too. Do you know what is your relations.h.i.+p to her? I went to some researches and articles and they found out that two people went in the triangle, a man and a woman. The female has black hair and the man has hair color of white as snow, this was 20 yrs ago."

"Did they mention that the woman has violet eye color?" Akira asked.

"Actually yes, the man has silver eyes. Why, do you know them?"

"No, a diary at home described her friend and her friends husband just as you say. I have no idea what my connection to them."

"Maybe not you but someone else from your family." Ana said

They went silent again, people near them are already doing the count down to one until the fireworks started. They watch the display and all students started to cheer and shout, some just went around taking pictures.

"Well... Happy New Year!!! I hope when the time comes, the three of us are in one group." Ana said breaking the silence.

Both just agreed and Arthur remembered why Carl told him about the school's agenda. He knows now that he's not alone and they are sticking together. They then went down and join in the celebration.
