Lucky Unluckiest 7 Chapter Seven

When I turned back I saw Liam running and then automatically eyes s.h.i.+fted to someone who was also close to me. It was Sophia. She was looking at me like she wanted to say something but instead she smiled and walked away. And I noticed that she walked fast. Like she was embarra.s.sed about something or something like that.

I wonder if there was anything she wanted to say.

Liam walked to me.

"Hey!" He smiled showing his teeth.

I smiled back.

"I think that that girl came to you, I have been watching her walking behind you since you left the cla.s.sroom. Isn't she Sophia? I guess she wanted to say something." He pointed at her.

So, I was right.

"Really!?? She was following me?" I pointed at myself, my eyes widened. "Dude, calm down I am not sure maybe she was just walking behind you, I guess." He said calming me down.

"I don't know." I said regretting that I made her feel like that.

"I think I should go to her." I added.

"What!!? Man, you? Listen, It requires guts and you have deficiency of vitamin guts.

"tch." I rolled my eyes.

And my body acted before I wanted it to, I ran to her.

"Hi!" I said to her as soon as I caught with her.

"Oh my G.o.d! You scared me." She was startled.

"I am sorry." I chuckled.

She was staring me when I chuckled so I cleared my throat and then she removed her gaze from me.

"What brings you here?" She asked avoiding eye contact.

"I...I don't know, I was thinking if we could continue with the a.s.signment?"

I said hesitating a little.

"I think we are already done with it." She laughed.

"O...oh yeah." I said thinking of more excuses why I came running to her.

Since she's quiet, I don't think she had anything to say to me but she was just walking behind and now it looks so weird that I came running to her because of a misunderstanding. Stupid me. Why did I do that? How do I get out of this awkward situation?

"S...so did you submit your a.s.signment?" I added.

"Not yet." She replied

"I see." I looked her.

We didn't mutter a word.

I wanted to talk to her more. I mean I felt good talking to her but I don't know what to say to her.

I finally gathered my courage and finally asked her, "Would you like to have some coffee with me?" "I-I-If you're ok-okay with it." I bit my bottom lip nervously.

She was confused first then, "Yes! I would love to."She looked so surprised and was smiling so brightly.

why do you do this Sophia?

We kept walking silently until she spoke up, "So where are we going?"

"Actually that's my favorite place." I exclaimed. Sometimes I can't control my emotions.

And then we walked together till we reached my favorite cafe.

"That's my favorite cafe! I've have come here a lot of times!" She said vivaciously.

"Oh really!? Me too." I was amazed.

Jinx.

"Shall we walk in?" She smiled and was excited.

"We shall." I smiled back.

And we walked in there.

SOPHIA

Oh My G.o.d! He took me to my favorite cafe. I have been there for like four to five times since I came here.

And... He was smiling at me. How is that even possible!? Well we walked in there. We sat on a table and after choosing what he wanted he pa.s.sed me the menu.

"What would you like to have?"

"Ummm... cold coffee."

"Fine, then." He went to the counter to order.

I was looking out of the window, waiting for Logan to come and saw Liam pa.s.sing by. I didn't want him to come here so I hid my face.

Gladly he was using his phone and he didn't see me and walked pa.s.sed by the cafe.

Then Logan came.

"Why does it look like your hiding your face?" He looked confused, looking outside the window to see whom I am hiding from.

WHHAAT!? Can he read my mind!?

"N...nothing." I hesitated.

He gave me my cold coffee and handed me a doughnut.

"Boston cream!" I rejoiced.

His eye popped out.

"What! Yours too? Hahahah. Mine too." He laughed.

I felt kind of embarra.s.sed.

But trust me his laugh is worth watching.

I was so happy actually. I don't know why. Maybe it is because we have so much in common. I started having my doughnut and cold coffee. He was having his chocolate shake.

I wanted to start a conversation so I just asked whatever question popped in my mind.

"So you like chocolate shake?"I asked.

"Yeah, of course. Who doesn't?" He replied.

I nodded as I took a sip of my coffee.

We were quietly enjoying our meal but I wanted to break the silence once again but instead Logan did it.

"So what do you think about our college?"He asked taking a sip of his chocolate milkshake and looking at me like a little kid.

"It's great." I replied taking a bite of my doughnut.

He nodded.

Soon I saw that I was taking the last bite of my doughnut. No! I want more. But I could do nothing. I just sighed.

And when I tried to sip my coffee it was gone.

Okay so my meal is finished but my heart craves more. I saw Logan, his half of the donut was left. Okay so I eat way too quickly or maybe it's just that I eat way too fast when it comes to desserts.

"I think I should leave." I said, picking up my bag.

He raised his one eyebrow up, "right now?" taking a sip of his beverage.

"Yeah"

"Okay let's leave together." He picked up his bag and his shake in his hand.

He told me to wait outside while he was paying.

Honestly I don't like people paying for me. I just don't feel good when the other person is paying. There always should be a rule for paying that both should equally divide the money.

Soon I saw him coming out with something in his hand.

"Here!" He gave me something.

I opened it. It was a doughnut and I didn't know whether to thank him or feel embarra.s.sed that he actually caught me while I was making faces when my doughnut was finished.

"Logan?" I made a confused face indicating I didn't understand what happened.

"What? It's for you." He said.

Okayyy.

"Thank you very much." I tried my best to feel less embarra.s.sed. I started walking.

He was walking with me.

He walked with me till I reached my home. On our way we talked about some random stuff and without even knowing I was almost home. We waved goodbye and he turned his back to walk home. And I watched his back as it disappeared in the crowd of some other people.
