Arachnomancer 10 Not Trees!!!

I decide to distribute the attribute point. I have some ideas on how I can increase my physical attributes but I'm clueless when it comes to the others like luck and wisdom. Can luck even be increased naturally? Well I'll find out eventually.

I put the attribute point into intelligence as that and wisdom are the most important for me. I'll save the skill point as it would be really inefficient to use it now. Skills only get a lot stronger when they tier up anyways.

....Dont feel any smarter.... I was expecting a big change which is why I put this off.... Well it is just 1 point. Cant have that much of an effect right? As I throw out a rhetorical question Set starts pocking my leg.

'I'm sorry. I dont speak spider'. Hmmm... She sent a feeling through, is it want? She's staring at my face and sh.... She wants to cling to me again. Why do you have to be like this. Were you created to be this way?

Thinking on it though, she is a 'guardian'. Might be the best place for her to protect me..... Nah, looking at her I doubt she can think to that degree, she's probably just weird.

'Alright just make sure to go into tattoo form.'

I give her permission and she breaks up into streams just like before but, this time she completely dries into my skin. With this I won't have to keep on eye on both of them. I have this weird feeling that if I leave Set or Kess alone something bad will happen.....

Ignoring Kess, who's making her spiderlings dance for some reason, I think of my next objective. I probably have to leave this place. More and more of the white webs are being converted to purple and it's giving me a bad feeling. I glance around and see something horrifying....

The arachne queen is decaying quickly. Its abdomen is mostly corroded into goo. 'You see now Kess'

"Sccchreeeuggg"Kess

She tries to make her usually screech but her saliva makes it sound gross. She is looking very intently at something and that got my attention. I see a small white gem at the edge of the giant puddle that has been building. Hmmm, do mosters drop gems on death? No, the queen is mostly corroded so it must lie in their bodies.

I'll s.n.a.t.c.h it up I guess. I gotta wipe off the goo but, it should be fine. I shove it into my most valuable place. My pockets. Now, to go on an adventure gyahahaha! Wait. Where's the exit....

-half an hour later-

After searching with the spiderlings for a bit we found the exit. I like these guys. They are very diligent and, they even salute to me when I address them. Too bad that whenever I don't need them, they go back to Kess. I've seen her do some weird things with them like making them dance or lower their front legs so it looks like they are wors.h.i.+ping her.

Before we go up we may need some more spiderlings. 'Kess can you summon some more spiderlings?'

"Scchreee!"

She seems excited. She does her ritual of rubbing her limbs together and opens up 3 portals this time spewing 15 spiders out total. I might be wrong but I think I saw one of the original ones give them a look of pity.

Now, it's time to leave...

As we make our way up, the tunnel changes from purple webbing to a blue-grey stone. Its a pretty long tunnel which makes me feel bad for the spiderlings that have to carry Kess.... Set has been quiet. She has been transmitting a feeling of satifaction over for a while as well.

As I start a.n.a.lyzing random things again, the spiderlings start rocketing up the tunnel with Kess. d.a.m.n it!!! I start chasing then until I reach the exit. As I look outside I see that Kess is munching on a tree.

"Kess!!!"Gin

"Sccchreee Scchreeee!"Kess

Why is she so childish.... She's begging to me with all her spiderlings too. 'You can eat fruit, gra.s.ses, or mushrooms!!! Not trees!!!'
