I acted like nothing happened. I went to cla.s.s normally and just like before, their attention is still on me. I just proceeded towards my seat and saw Livia already there. She waved her hands at me but I didn't bother to pay any attention towards her.

I sat down at my seat and immediately closed my eyes to take a nap. I haven't got a good night sleep. I stayed sitting at my chair with my eyes closed when I heard the professor came in. How did I know without even looking? I can hear all these students making a fuss.

"We have a transfer student." The professor stated and that made me look at him. I was curious to see who it was but there's no one beside him, maybe the person's still outside the room.

​

"Introduce yourself Sir." He stated and the man finally came in. My eyes widened when I saw who it was.

Why the h.e.l.l is he here? Wait? Did I heard the professor, right? Transferee? Him? Hence, I noticed his gaze locked on to mine. I also saw how the entire cla.s.s changed their gazes on to my direction. I sighed as I avoided their gazes by just looking at the window beside me.

"I'm Damian Samandriel, a transfer student from Eris Academy." He said and everyone applauded.

It seems like they like him. Compared to my introduction everyone was silent as if they saw someone dangerous in the room. But he is way more dangerous than me! He looks like he's about to kill someone by those eyes even though he is one good looking man. He's far more dangerous than me. I sense it.

"Sit there in front of Miss Dandlers." The professor said and pointed the seat in front of me. There are still too many vacant seats why here? I didn't bother to complain. I prefer to get some sleep.

Hours had pa.s.sed. Thankfully no one bothered me from my sleep. I looked at my wrist.w.a.tch and it's already 12:26 pm. No wonder I feel my stomach grumbling loudly. I immediately lift up my head but I accidentally b.u.mped on to someone's head. He was groaning so badly. I might have hit his nose.

"Are you alright?" I asked as I came near him and tried to touch him. My acting sucks.

Hence, I saw him remove his hands away from his face and there, I finally saw his face. I quickly removed my hands away from him. Like what the h.e.l.l is he grinning at? I just rolled my eyes at him.

​

"It's not my fault. You're the one who's near my face. Why the h.e.l.l are you even there?" I asked irritated.

​

"No reason." He simply answered and suddenly pulled me out of the room.

​

"Let's eat. I've been waiting for ages." He added. I had no choice but to come with him. Besides, I'm really hungry. We both ran towards the cafeteria.

Why do we even have to run? But never mind that question! It's better than this because I can't explain myself why my heart is beating fast. Is it the reason that we are running? Or is it the reason that he is holding my hand tightly?

I noticed that we were finally in front of the cafeteria when he stopped. He didn't stop becauee we were finally here. We stopped because Vlad and the others were in front of us.

"It seems like the rumor really is true. Damian Samandriel is in our school." He said looking at Damian p.i.s.sed.

​

"No need to be alert. I'm not here to fight nor kill anyone." Damian answered with a bored tone. But I was surprised when he pulled me towards him out of a sudden.

​

"I'm just here for her." He added. I noticed Vlad flinched from where he was standing. I even saw that he was about to take a step towards Damian but I saw Livia tightly gripped on to his arm.

​

"Let's just eat." I said to break the tension building up from the two. I pulled Damian inside the cafeteria and we ordered our food after.

When we were finished getting our foods, he decided to join Vlad's table. We were finally in our seats when I noticed that I was in the middle of this two person. I might say I don't like this kind of seating arrangement. It's just like this Damian - Vivian - Vlad - Livia then in front is Tyler - Liam - and Sabrina. We eat silently. No one dared to talk. But I noticed Livia getting uncomfortable.

"What's wrong?" I heard Vlad asked her.

​

"Nothing." She answered uncomfortably and began to eat again.

"Damian." I now started to talk. They all stopped from eating because they all loked at me, especially the man I called.

"Why are you here?" I asked wondering. Hence, I saw his face began to feel cold.

​

"You really want to know?" He asked and put down his spoon and fork.

​

"Yes." I said straight to his face.

​

"Someone's trying to kill you." He said without even considering the people listening to him but I noticed him looked at the people sitting in this table.

​

"I sense that person is in this table." He added then began to eat again. He isn't scared on what might happen to him! He is not on his territory anymore. This is Vlad's but then what the h.e.l.l happened to this two? Why are they like this to each other?

​

"You dare to accuse us now!" Tyler suddenly shouted. I was startled but not by his way of saying that but because of I saw blood coming out from his nose. He might have realized that because he touched his nose. When he saw his hand with blood, he fainted.

​

"This isn't good." Sabrina began to tremble.

"Hurry and bring him towards the dormitory!" Vlad shouted and Cain hurriedly helped his brother to walk. I stood up too to come with them but Damian hold on to my arm.

​

"What now?" I asked. ​

​

"Be careful." He only said and finally let go of me. I ignored his warning and went with them. I saw Liam carrying his brother alone so I went towards him to help.

"Hurry." I stated when he saw me. He was surprised. But then we walked faster than before and we were finally at the dorm. I saw Sabrina talking at the phone, maybe it's his doctor.

"What is wrong with him?" I asked Liam as we sat down at the edge of Tyler's bed. He's sleeping already.

​

"Cancer. Lung Cancer." He said and smiled.

​

"How unlucky right?" He added and hold his brothers' hand.

​

"As much as possible I don't want to involve him in this world of ours but he insisted to watch over me. Afterall, he will die in the end, that's what he said." He explained to me. I took a glimpse at the sleeping man on the bed.

"You really are unlucky." I whispered. Hence, I saw the door opened a few minutes later and a doctor came in. He immediately checked on Tyler's pulse.

"Was he stressed?" He asked us. Liam nodded as an answer.

​

"Always make him feel at ease Liam, we would not want such terrible thing to happen, right?" The doctor said seriously towards this guy. I saw Liam quietly nod at him.

​

"Then I'll take my leave." He said and gave something to Liam, maybe it's Tyler's medicine.

​

"I'll escort you out." Liam said to the doctor and they finally went outside. Tyler and I were left alone inside the room. I quietly went towards him and tuck him inside the blanket. But I was startled by the bullet that landed on the wall. I didn't even hear the gunshot.

​

"Again?" I whispered and went towards the veranda. I immediately get my gun and jump down the building. It's the 2nd floor of the dormitory so I can manage.

When I safely landed at the ground, I saw men running to those woods again. It's soon to eve and there's no light anymore for me to see them. There isn't any students anymore walking from here so they can freely explore the campus. They might be searching for Livia.

I hurriedly ran towards the direction where they were. I'll make them pay for startling me to death d.a.m.n it! My chest still hurts. I'm still not recovered from this morning and now they're scaring me! I'll f.u.c.king kill them!

"Where are you going?" Someone suddenly stated. I immediately looked at the person. who said that. It was Damian leaning against a tree.

​

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

​

"I was ordering my men." And I cut him off there when I heard him say 'his men'

​

"So you're really trying to kill me." I stated surprised but I saw his eyes turned colder than before. This isn't the reaction that I was expecting.

​

"I ordered my men to kill the man who tried to kill you." He explained. My eyes widened from what he said. Did he do what for me? Hence, he turned his back away from me and was about to walk away but I stopped him.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked.

​"Because I said I find you interesting." He stated as he look at me and suddenly lifted my chin.

This seems awkward. I remembered Vlad, when I first saw him. He also lifted my chin and said that I'm interesting. I removed his hand from my face but he just snickered a laugh.

​

"Other than that reason, you might be important to me. I still don't know yet." He added.

​

"What?" I asked confused. What does he mean?

​

"Well, our deal hasn't started yet." He changed the topic and looked at me in the eye. So that's what it was. I'm important since he can't start that stupid game without me, because I am one of his chess piece.

​

"Don't tell me that you already forgot about it?" He asked that snapped me out of to the reality.

​

"Then let's start." I stated without even thinking. I noticed him frowned from what I have said. Is there something wrong? Yes there is! Why did I even say that?

"What?" He asked in disbelief. Does he want me to say it again? Is he deaf or is it that he didn't expect what I've just said.

​

"Let's start the game now." I stated and at that moment I saw him smiled.

"Then the game is on..."
