I'm really terrified right now. I can't think clearly! Is she the person whom I'm searching for? Does she have Aviana's soul?

"No. What do you think I am? I don't kill people." She talked once again but I didn't say anything. A word never came out from my mouth. My hands started to feel numb but I felt Damian's hand held mine tighter than before. It's as if he was rea.s.suring that he is here and he won't leave me alone but why is he like this? Why is he acting like this? Oh! Why did I think of that?

I immediately looked at her and she's smiling like a devil. She was about to talk once again but Mr. Samandriel stood up and that made everyone froze as they look at the man. The atmosphere suddenly felt colder than before and it's all because of him.

"I think we should let our guest rest for now." He stated and looked at Damian. He understood what his father was implying and so he stood up, so did I. Even though my knees were trembling and any time I can fall.

​

"Father." He said as he bowed to him. Mr. Samandriel nod in return. Damian proceeds to walk away from the dining hall while I followed him.

We continued to walk upstairs without him talking or even looking at me. It's strange to think that he unexpectedly turned cold once again. A moment later he is nice and later on, he's cold. He's definitely stranger than Vlad. That made me smiled but I realized that I looked like a fool. Why did I just smile? I saw him suddenly stopped and I realized that we were finally in front of my room.

"Aren't you afraid?" He asked out of a sudden and turned to face me but I just shook my head as an answer to his question. He didn't say anything other than that when he opened the room for me.

I should not let him know that I was scared to death, until now. He will surely think that I'm weak and easy to pry on. Yes, I am afraid of them and I don't dare to deny it. I felt chills on my bones just recalling her eyes that had changed.

"Then I'll rest," I said and was about to walk inside when he stopped me. He often does this!

​

"Lock your doors." He said. I just nod in return. I removed his hands away from me and went inside the room.

​

"Go now." I simply said and closed the door but I didn't walked away. I was listening to the other side if he will leave me or not.

A second had pa.s.sed and I finally heard his footsteps. He is gone. I sighed in relief while I fell down towards the floor. I feel like my energy was drained. I feel so weak and tired. What is happening to my body? Especially to my chest. It keeps on aching. Is this the reason why Mr. Azier didn't want me to get involve into this family? Because he knows that they were all demons. Then does this mean, Damian is one too?

I decided to stand up and threw myself on to the bed. I wanted to sleep but I remembered that my gun and dagger were still on my bed. However, why aren't they here? I immediately searched for it on my bed. Throwing the pillows, blanket and the bed sheets towards the floor. It wasn't there. I got numb.

Where is it? Then after, I suddenly heard a click sound from the right side of the room. It's dark in here to see who made that sudden noise. I didn't even turn on the lights since I was about to sleep. Now, only the moon served as my light to take a better look at the person who's sitting at the corner. Who's this?

"You know that you can die here but you still stayed. You are such a stubborn girl." A voice of a woman. I realized that it was Athena when she walked towards me. How did she get in here? But I was unable to think when she started to stare at me with those blue eyes of her. My heart started to pound. What is she doing here? Is she going to kill me?

​

"Oh... No. No. No. No." She said frowning and a blink of an eye. She was already in front of me. She suddenly raised my chin. Why can't I do anything? Why can't I resist her? My body doesn't want to move and it's because of her. I'm too scared that it caused my body to turn into a statue.

​

"I don't kill people. I already said that remember." She added but what is she grinning at? I don't like this kind of look on people's faces. Then she came closer towards one of my ears and whispered...

"I only like people to suffer."

Just like that, I stopped from breathing. I feel like I was holding my breath right in front of her. It made me totally motionless. I mean, what did she just say? Suffer! What will she do to me then? My body started to s.h.i.+ver. Then do it! What is she waiting for? Move away and make me suffer!

I waited for her to say one more word but she just stayed there, near my ear. What is she doing? Does she want to whisper one more thing? I tried to move to look at her but she suddenly pushed me. I fell towards the floor. She put on a lot of force but I didn't scream.

"You're afraid. Aren't you?" She suddenly asked but now why did I suddenly saw sadness in her eyes? However, I noticed her eyes widened as she looked at the door which suddenly opened behind me. I looked there too and there was her twin, standing near the door.

​

"What do you think you're doing Athena?" She asked. She sounds angry. I looked at Athena but she just grinned at her sister. But just then, I'm unable to explain what just happened right before my eyes. All of a sudden, she was thrown towards the wall of my room. My eyes widened as I witness this unexplainable phenomenon. I slowly looked at her sister and like her, her eyes turned to blue. Then she looked at me.

"I apologize." She said and the color of her eyes turned back. She looks normal now. She walked towards me then pulled my arms to rush outside the room.

When we were finally outside, I saw Damian leaning at the wall. I was startled when he suddenly pulled me away from Alethia and now proceed to the direction of the last room of this floor. I haven't thank her yet. How rude! He opened the door of the room and we came inside. But then he stopped, his hands were trembling.

"Why did I even brought you here?" He whispered and I heard him laugh silently. I quickly pulled him to face me and I was surprised by the face that he's making right now. I immediately bit my lip for me stop this mouth for asking this question inside my head until I tasted blood. He suddenly raised my chin. He's looking at me worried.

​

"What are you doing to yourself?" He asked furiously and wiped the blood from my lips with his hand. He looked at me in the eyes because he noticed me still looking at him. We stayed like that. Staring onto each other's eyes but I noticed his face getting closer on to mine.

​

"Who are you, Damian?" The words finally came out.

​

"Are you that cold heart blooded man that they've been talking about or the man that is in front of me?" I added. I'm too confused right now. About everything to be clear and I just can't help myself but ask. I don't know if this will offend him but I was surprised when he hugged me.

"I'm messed up." He just answered and I felt his embrace tighten. This feels nice, wrapped in his arms but I realized something. He keeps on showing this side of him to me. But why me? He doesn't even know me! I pushed him gently but it still surprised him.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked and there he froze from where he was standing.

Did I say something strange? Then his eyes turned cold once again. Why do they keep on changing? Why are you like this? Why Damian? To my surprise, I accidentally touched his face. I immediately took it off and was about to walk away from him but he pulled me and kissed me. Our lips have touched again.

"Why do you keep on kissing me?" I asked between our kiss then he stopped. I felt something ached within my chest. Why does my chest keep on hurting? I breathed heavily and didn't bother to hear his answer.

"Don't ask." He answered and now looked at me in the eye. Those eyes again. It's just that every time I look at them. It makes me feel weak.

"Just trust me." He said out of a sudden and that made me frown.

​

"How could I possibly do that when I don't get the idea why you're like this to me and besides I don't even know you?" I asked as I snickered at his profound statement.

​

"Then, know me." He said.

​

"Stay even if its just for a week. I will let you know who Damian Samandriel truly is. In return, trust me"
