Bloody Memories 18 Do You Like Stories?

Midnight had finally pa.s.sed but I still can't sleep. The sun is about to rise any time soon and I still can't make myself to get some rest. I sighed as I turned to the right side of the bed to look at the person who's calmly sleeping beside me. He is too hard to read.

I silently stared at him but my heart suddenly started to throb once again. This is strange. I stood up from the bed and breathed heavily. I was about to go to the bathroom but I suddenly heard him talking.

"No..." He whispered. I hurriedly came near him. He is sweating like crazy. I wiped it all and that's when I realized that he was hot. His skin is hot. Is he sick?

​

"Damian," I called but he is not waking up. Is he having a nightmare?

​

"DAMIAN!" I shouted. I shook his body but still, his eyes were shut. I went outside and searched for someone. Someone who can help him. Please, someone!

I continued to walk into these dark corridor until I stopped when I saw a girl in white. She was sitting at the bottom of the stairs. Her back was facing me that is why I can't see her face. But I know that she's a girl. I can still see a bit and I think that she's holding something in her hand. She's staring at it. She's probably one of the maids.

"Miss," I called but she's not turning her head. I decided to walk towards her.

When I was finally at her back, I patted her shoulders. She slowly looked at me but when out eyes met. I got numb. I was unable to step back from her. I started to s.h.i.+ver. My heart is pounding fast and I helplessly fell down to my knees. Now, she stood up while I cried for help.

"H-help," I shouted but it isn't enough. It's not loud for them to hear me. Am I dreaming? If not. Please, someone, help me!

​

"Vivian!" Someone shouted behind my back and hurriedly pulled me away from this girl who's still looking at me with those deadly eyes. I'm not dreaming!

​

"Go to your room." He said furiously.

​

"But..." I was about to protest but he looked glared at me. This is absurd! I immediately turned my back away from him and went towards my room. I thought that he was having a nightmare. How come he woke up that easily? When I shook his body, he wasn't awakened by that.

When I was finally inside my room, I locked the door and proceed to my bed. My eyes were caught by the ruined wall. Athena was thrown there, by her sister. I breathed heavily and remembered the girl from downstairs. Who is she? One of their family members? Because I know that girl isn't those twins.

I eagerly closed my eyes but I still can't forget that girl's eyes. I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling. That girl has deadly red crimson eyes, just like what Aviana has. Is that Aviana? Or the person who has Aviana's soul?

I hurriedly stood up from the bed and went towards the door. But when I opened it, the twins were in front of my door. They were standing and staring at me with those worried faces. They were still in their night gown and I can tell that they just woken up. Did Damian wake them up?

"What do you want?" I asked irritated because of Damian. Athena smiled. She looks okay now. I thought that she will die from being thrown to the wall. I can still remember that she was unable to move for a while.

I sighed and just went back to my bed. I don't want to think anymore. I looked at the two and they went inside. I didn't shut the door. I saw them sat down at the sofa in front of my bed. I just stared at them and so did they. What do they want?

"Do you like stories Vivian?" Athena suddenly asked and came towards me. I was unable to answer.

​

"Do you want us to tell you a story?" She added and sat down beside my bed. I looked at Alethia and she did the same.

​

"Just lay down and sleep," Alethia said. I didn't bother to answer and so I lied down on my bed.

Alethia is sitting at the right and Athena is at the left side of the bed. Then I felt Athena started to caress my head. It's as if she was treating me like a child. It caused me to frown but she smiled in return. A while ago she wanted to kill me.

"Clear your mind honey. You do well know that I can read it." Athena said. I sighed before closing my eyes. After that, they started to tell the story.

​

"Once upon a time, there's a story of the lonely demon who was forbidden to love his beloved." Alethia began to say.

​

"The demon's name is Victoria. She is known as the b.l.o.o.d.y queen. The powerful among demons. She's been living in the world for a long time. It bored her. She decided to live among humans and that is when she met her beloved, Sebastian. She fell in love with him. But he is a human." Alethia continued.

​

"Other than the reason that he is a human. He is a demon hunter. He later found out that she is a demon but time flies and he didn't realize that he fell in love with her too. But other demons didn't accept their relations.h.i.+p. A demon and a human, that is forbidden." Athena said and continues to caress my head.

​

"The n.o.bles and the elders wanted Sebastian to die, especially the b.l.o.o.d.y queen's mate. Each n.o.ble demon has it's own mate. She was predestined to another man already. All the demons planned to kill him. She was furious by what she have found out. But it was too late for her to rage in anger. Because one evening they slaughtered all the demon hunters, including her beloved. He died without her seeing him. She blamed her mate because of it. She wanted to kill him but she can't. She didn't want to." Alethia said. She sounds hurt.

"She was hurt. She wanted to die but she doesn't know how." Athena said and stopped caressing my head. I slowly opened my eyes and looked at them.

​

"She decided to kill. She killed innocent lives of people. Her wrath shook the whole world. Long after, before mankind became extinct, she didn't stop from killing them all. She continued to kill even though she is pregnant." Athena said as my eyes widened from what she has said.

​

"Yes. She had a child," Athena added. I'm started to get confused about why they were telling me this story but they just continued to tell the tale.

​

"However, she was finally stopped by a witch. Whom she later found out that was in love with Sebastian. She cursed her." Alethia said.

"You will have a daughter, and that daughter will have another and another. Some of your descendants will possess your powers when they turned into their adolescent. However, they are cursed to have a very tragic life and it will be repeated like a chain. But this curse can be stop. If one of your descendants is willing to kill herself and repent from her sins. This will all end." Alethia added.

"The b.l.o.o.d.y queen was left helpless and alone with a child. No one dared to come near her. They treated her like a plague even though they can die with just one stare from her. But she's preoccupied from thinking. She doesn't know what to do with her." Athena said as she stared outside.

"Months had pa.s.sed and she gave birth. She thought that the curse wasn't true until her daughter started to change. Years started to pa.s.s, her child started to turn into a beautiful disaster and started to kill innocent people." Athena stopped.

​

"She had a child but she turned just like her. Later that day, Victoria went missing. Some say that the b.l.o.o.d.y queen killed herself or buried herself because she might hurt her child." Alethia said and looked at me in the eye.

"Her life continues to repeat by itself. On and on, another life was given and another life was taken long until Aviana came. She was the b.l.o.o.d.y queen's descendant and guess what." Alethia continued.

"She had the b.l.o.o.d.y queen's power and killed all the people she cared for. She loving someone is a curse." I said to them. They both smiled by my guess.

​

"A curse that is made for them to suffer," I added.

​

"Why are you telling me this?" I asked but then they suddenly stood up from the bed so I did too.

​

"To give you more information." Athena said and smiled sadly.

​

"Well, you see, we are one of those n.o.bles who forbids them to love one another." Alethia said that made me dumbfounded.
