​I can hear the cla.s.sical music playing from outside. I think it's The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart. It's well played. The party is perfectly organized. I can tell, just by looking at the people of the party. I wonder who is the person behind organizing this event?

Hence, I took a glimpse at the two person walking on the red carpet in front of us. They look like a couple. I suddenly realized something. I'm sure that Damian arranged this party but I can't help myself to ask. Why? He's treating her like a treasure.

I didn't bother to think anymore and just continued to walk inside. The people were wearing white except for the birthday girl who's wearing red. When we were finally inside, all of the people looked at our direction. Wait, they were just looking at the two who's still holding hands.

I feel suffocated.

​"I'll just go there." I said towards Athena. She didn't bother to ask and just nodded as an answer.

​"Let me accompany you," Vlad said but I shook my head as an answer. I want to be alone.

I saw Athena hold on to Vlad's hands and pulled him away from me. She's reading my mind again. I turned my back and head towards the bar corner. There's only a few people around here because all of the people who were invited in this party are all busy gossiping about business and such. They are not really interested in the party. They are all interested in the important guests who will come tonight.

By the way, I saw Sabrina and the twins. I didn't bother to greet them. It's not like were friends right? Sabrina was wearing a white c.o.c.ktail gown while the twins have the same suit but Liam made it look like he is a bad a.s.s. Tyler on the other hand, wore the suit properly. He seems okay now.

I sat down from one of the stools when I was finally at the bar counter. I ordered a martini. I would love to get drunk right now but I need to finish this day without missing any little detail. Afterall, this might be the last day that I'd be with him. Only one drink and that's enough.

I saw that my drink was finally served a few seconds later. I was about to drink it when someone suddenly s.n.a.t.c.hed it away from me and drink all my martini. I should have reacted fast but I was happy to see him in front of me.

​"You're here," I said and stretched my arms to hug him. He smiled and accepted my embrace.

​"How were you?" He asked after he let go of me.

​"I'm still on a mission. Is he here?" I stated and ordered another drink.

​"You know that you can't drink Vivian." He suddenly replied without answering my question. He is looking at me in the eye. I just smiled at him for him to avert his gaze. But I just made it worse, his face became worried because of that.

​"I know that if you keep on smiling that means you're-" I cut him off before he said those words.

​"You really know me well Wayde," I stated while leaning at the counter. He sadly smiled in return.

Wayde is one of the a.s.sa.s.sins of Mr. Azier who's very close to my heart. He's like my older brother, ever since I got there in that mansion. He was always there guiding me, teaching me, and caring for me. But ever since that incident in the mansion, I never saw him anymore. I sent myself here to fulfill my mission because I brought death upon them. I'm her to redeem myself and maybe after this I'll be able to find what I'm looking for from the very start, my Papa's killer.

​"Come here." He stated out of a sudden and so I came near him. He embraced me and I did too. I really missed him. By the way, is he in a mission tonight?

I was about to move to ask him but his arms hugged me tighter. What is he doing? I hold on to his arms to remove it from me but I stopped when someone talked behind my back.

​"Can I borrow her?" The voice said. It was cold and it gave s.h.i.+vers to my spine.

​"She's not a thing for you to borrow," Wayde stated towards the man. No! He shouldn't answer him like that.

I hurriedly removed his arms that were wrapped on to me. Then I looked at Damian who's looking at me with those deadly eyes but I didn't falter. I too looked at him but with my cold gaze.

​"Wayde, leave us. I'll talk to this guy." I said. He didn't bother to ask nor answer me. I already heard him leaving us.

I continue to look at this man who's in front of me. I was waiting for him to speak when he suddenly pulled my hands. He took me out of the venue. I didn't complain although I badly want to shout at him because if I'd do, I'll just attract all the guest's attention.

We stopped at the back of the venue, where the garden is. There were tall trees and a lots of flowers planted. I can smell the freshness of all the flowers. If the sun is up, this place might be beautiful to look at. However, it's dark now and the moon has already shown up. I looked at the person who's back was facing me. What does he want from me?

​"What is it?" I asked irritated but he only glared at me. I became stiff because of that and there's no more words that came out from my mouth. I had no choice but to only stared at him. Is he angry? But why? I began to get mad when I remembered what he have done.

​"If you have nothif to say, I might as well go back," I stated and was about to walk away but he surprisingly hugged me from the back.

He wrapped his arms tightly on to my waist. I tried to remove his arms but he didn't want to let go. I can feel his breathe at my neck. It was hot. He's too close and I'm about to lose my mind.

​"This is hopeless." He stated out of a sudden and finally let go.

I saw him walk towards the venue. I was left alone here staring at him while he leaves me. I smiled bitterly when I saw him disappeared right before my eyes. I was left alone once again. I sat down at the bench beside me. I feel like my energy was all drained. I feel so weak. I stayed here for a moment to calm my mind.

I have received a lot of missions already but this was the only one that makes me feel hopeless and weak. This mission is so d.a.m.n hard to accomplis.h.!.+ I breathed heavily as I looked up at the sky. I can't see any stars from the sky. I can only see the moon.

​"We're all alone." I stated towards the moon and smiled sadly. ​
