After she was done making herself at home we left the trunk making sure I had it locked down so people won't be nosey.

"So who can give me a play by play of our daily lives?" I asked the boys one of them quickly answering me.

"Us working students are actually responsible for sweeping clean the academy, our teacher is responsible for arranging specific jobs. The academy altogether has six grades, every grade has a cla.s.s. You boss and Xiao wu are newly arrived, and should be first grade students. The rest of us are at least third graders. At the academy every day we attend cla.s.s in the morning, then cultivate individually in the afternoon. In the morning there are generally two cla.s.ses, one cla.s.s is cultural knowledge, one cla.s.s is spirit lore. Us working students for the most part have work in the afternoon, thereby earning income for meals."

"Well I don't really need to earn money so you guys can handle that." I'd happily pay for Xiao Wu as I figure we are going to be together for a while but these guys nahhhh it's just sweeping anyway.

"By the way Ryan what is your spirit power I figure you'd be pretty strong beating us up like that." one of the boys asked with a black eye.

"Innate full spirit power." I tell them waving them off.

Soon a teacher entered the room carrying some new bedding for me that grandmaster had thought to give me thinking I wouldn't have any since I didn't come with any items.

I happily took the gift it's the thought that counts.

Since I didn't need any money I was able to freely give away my ch.o.r.es to those who did. not like they really cared it was only 10 copper coins. only thing I would use copper for is materials.

"Tomorrow is the opening ceremony. The day after tomorrow the regular cla.s.ses begin. The first year cla.s.ses are on the first floor of the main school building, so the day after tomorrow you will punctually go to cla.s.s. Starting from the day after tomorrow, you will start keeping your personal area clean. We may do non-scheduled spot checks. Well, take a rest first. w.a.n.g Sheng, you're the oldest here, so tell them about the rules." said the teacher leaving quietly.

Xiao wu stared at the bedding and then looked up at me with tearful pleading eyes. I knew what she wanted.

"Whatever but if you snore I'm kicking you out." I said then was embraced in an oddly soft hug her previously fake look all gone.

I went back to the trunk storing my new bedding which was quite nice must have cost a bit. Especially in a world like this I've seen some electricity I think but everything isn't very advanced. they still use horse and carriage and most electricity is used for lights.

I figured it was about time for lunch and knew that most of the kids here were poor and Xiao wu had zero money I was also quite curious how exactly she was able to get into this school. where did she even get the permit?

"Well let's go get some food since I know you guys must be starving and don't worry I'll pay for today and tommorow." I said bringing out some coins and giving them a look as it was the first time I'd seen them.

"Food costs money?" Xiao wu asked worriedly. "Yeah but don't worry I'm the big brother right so I'll take care of it for you." I said tweaking her little nose. She stuck out her little tongue at me but laughed anyway.

making our way towards the already busy cafeteria with all of us following the bigger kids we saw that the service windows were already packed with lines of children.

"Isn't this that w.a.n.g Sheng's group of apparitions of poverty?"

Just as they entered the dining hall, a discordant voice reached them.

I looked questioningly in the direction the voice came from, only seeing a group of senior students standing on the staircase between the first and second floor, looking down at us from their higher position.

The speaker was a handsome and spirited, probably eleven or twelve years old male student, his eyes revealing a concentrated disdain, wagging a finger in the direction of w.a.n.g Sheng.

"Poverty apparitions are just poverty apparitions, probably always unable to eat on the second floor."

On the way to the dining hall, w.a.n.g Sheng already told Xiao Wu how the room seven boss and working students must act in public, and Xiao Wu readily agreed. Right now meeting someone provoking her, immediately her temper rose up.

"What creatures are you? How is the second floor so terrific?"

A working student by Xiao Wu's side advised her in a low voice. "The second floor is a place where you can independently order dishes. Very expensive, we really can't go up to eat."

Xiao Wu's stature was pretty small, and earlier, w.a.n.g Sheng sheltered them behind him. When he now walked away, those students on the staircase naturally caught sight of her appearance, and the speaking student's eyes immediately brightened.

"A beautiful little loli, ah, it's a pity she's a working student. w.a.n.g Sheng, I your father will go eat now, so I'll let you off this time."

My arm shot forward and grabbed him by the throat. "Really you act like a high and might lord and expect to just walk away." I smiled at him and his group. "I bet you haven't heard of me yet I would be the new student who nearly sliced off the guards arm outside for being a snotty c.u.n.t aswell." my grip tightens on the now blue faced boys throat as I lean forward and whisper in his ear. "Next time princess I advise you to f.u.c.k off further away or I will end your existence." I throw him towards his friends who look shocked as they all smash into the stairs.

"Seriously what is with this school garbage teachers garbage guards and garbage students really this is about as pathetic as it can get." I sneer at the group of rich kids.

out of the corner of my eye I caught sight of teacher as he walked over.

"Ah making friends so soon ryan?" he said eyeing the group of sn.o.bby children as he had problems with them before and knew how they could be.

"is this really a school or just a collector for a.s.sholes?" I asked the mild mannered man who just let out a chuckle.

"Well I'm sure not all of them are bad people." he said smiling at Xiao Wu.

"Ah this is Xiao Wu my new roomate." I said happily making the poor girl blush and bow.

"h.e.l.lo teacher." she chirped out.

He gave her a quick head pat and turned back to me. "Are you going to be eating with your friends?" he asked me.

"Yes we were just about to go to the second floor why don't you join us."

"Sure why not." he smiled happily.

Making our way up getting mostly disgusted views from rich folks and teachers which i ignored I bought a ton of delicious food for everyone. The table was loaded down with all sorts of meats all stews along with fresh veggies and cost much more than what the little rich brats where buying.

I easily handed out the money giving a quick excuse "My father is a well known blacksmith I have plenty of school funds." teacher nodded getting my meaning that a t.i.tled douluo wouldn't be poor oh how wrong he would be. The other kids just chowwed down happily like hungry ghosts.

"Ryan as soon as we are done come to my office so we can have a chat about your schooling." grandmaster said wiping off his mouth and thanking me for the meal before heading off to his place.

w.a.n.g Sheng said with a strange air

"Can't be. You recognized Grandmaster as master? His actual strength is not up to much. At our academy, Grandmaster is only a visiting official type of personage. They say it's because of good connections with the chairman that he can stay at the academy. Saying it not so nicely, just a freeloader. I heard, Grandmaster will soon be fifty years old but has still not broken through the spirit grandmaster boundary, and his spirit only has twenty nine ranks. Probably in all his life he still will not be able to break through."

I looked at him and happily said. "unless you want to kiss the floor again I'd advise you mind yourself." he shut up pretty quickly after that.

After our meal I told Xiao Wu how to get into my trunk and headed off towards grandmaster study.
