In this era skin grafting is a lost art. It was said that through the years of practice less and less of people try to study skin grafting where they can choose whether to restore, alter or reconstruct a person's face and change ones life forever. Reverence for the dead, filial piety, abhorrence of shedding blood and other conservative att.i.tudes make it impossible for any accurate knowledge of the human anatomy and physiology, without which surgery cannot progress in ancient times. But to save her life I need to perform facial surgery. 

The tissue that supports her cheeks are altered and reserved, but of course we cannot proceed without dirtying our hands. So I bought a woman from the human traffickers, she was once convicted and imprisoned, and how she got out was out of my concerns. It was believed that she used to be a minister's lowly concubine who tried to seduce another minister and ran away. Fourth with the tissues we appropriately got from the incision of the concubine, we then closed miss Feng's incision. Lastly, we put through the right amount of splints and gauze packing that will support her face as it begins to heal. And she will wear them for a few days more and let the tissues bind with each other. 

"Mistress what are we going to do with her body?" Fu Wen asked

"Accompany me to the chamber of fire, we have no use for her and to keep her alive is rather useless. Let us send her to another world, maybe by then she'll live happily. Who knows?" I answered

In actual, it will be very troublesome to keep her alive and destroy our future plans. What miss Feng need is a new life, and for her to stay alive we need to sacrifice other people. My brother already agreed to everything that I have asked for, and whether I kill others to gain benefit is my choice. No one can stop me.

We burned the body and I offered some money along with it.

I returned to my room and changed my robes. What I hate the most is smelling the filth of blood on my skin or on my dress. Those who buy land here are someone with direct connections to the ancestry of Yao family and if you're not one of us, you are not welcome.

Yao family have military connections and an army of our own which I will inherit when I get there and pa.s.s the test. The family owns a mining business through five stations of each kingdom from east to west. And the roots of power practices were pa.s.sed through the next generation. It should have been my brother who inherits the clan's army control, but he was detained as the emperor of the kingdom making him ineligible.

"Fu Si, have you prepared everything?" I aksed

"Yes your highness, the carriage is ready to set" Fu Si answered

I stare at the girl in the mirror and help her brush her hair.

"From now on you will be named Qin Zetian, the eldest miss of Qin Family and the only daughter of the Duke. I have already arranged everything that you need, when you've done your training you will be able to reclaim Feng Clan and they will be at your disposal. First miss Feng Jiang Lei is now dead and you are reborn as the Phoenix. With my help, I will ensure that you will take the seat of the empress."

"Thank you, big sister. If not for you and your help I won't be here today. I won't be able to see the sun s.h.i.+ne. And no one will remember me. Thank you, I promise I'll be a good daughter to the Duke and a dutiful sister to you." She said then she hugged me

"Live well Zetian."

"Your highness we are ready to go" Fu Si alerted

"Come on, accompany this big sister, we will travel to my residence this time and you will start your training there."

The duke of the Eastern Emerald Palace is my uncle from my mother's side. He and his wife never had a daughter, but they have three sons. And all of them were married, now the ident.i.ty of Qin Zetian is a blessed character which will become their adoptive child. Since her family did not care about her existence, might as well treasure her life and give her to a couple who wants to have a daughter.

My uncle and aunt, the Qins, agreed with the proposal. But that goes with the saying that everything is business, in return I need to visit them every month and help their sons in business and trading. Whilst I get to enjoy more power.
