Alexander together with his team continued the experiment on the vaccines. There were 6 general stages of the development cycle of a vaccine-Exploratory stage, Pre-clinical stage, Clinical Development, Regulatory review and approval, Manufacturing, and Quality control. As a scientist, there is always a need to be patient, rational, and risk-taking regardless of the circ.u.mstances. The government had been pressuring them to finish the vaccine in the shortest time. Alexander had been sleeping late. He had no time to eat three meals a day. He had only eaten once a day. Moreover, He also attended state meetings and was doing his duties in the military. His schedules were full and hectic. He did not have any time for his family because he prioritized the life of the citizens more than his personal happiness. The government had his eyes on him. He had to lead his team impeccably to avoid any blunders. He did not want to act recklessly just because he wanted to expedite the production of the vaccines. Alexander was a perfectionist he did not want to compromise the quality of his inventions. 'I hope this vaccine would work, ' He said with strong enthusiasm, "Prepare the animal, hold it tightly. We'll wait long enough for it to let its guard down before we invade it. Make sure it wouldn't escape the laboratory. Don't let your guards down." They didn't need to wear personal protective equipment because they had intaken the elixir. They only wore an N-99 mask. It was one of their inventions and it was not yet out in the market. It was a special mask that had an inhaler with the intention that it would not hamper their breathing. All the people who were engaging the experiment had elixir inputted to their blood. It was Alexander who created the elixir. He acquired the ingredients from his exploration. The ingredients came from Clover Island. It was said that only a few were able to come back from the island. The island was full of exotic plants and animals and then he found the special plant. He named it 'Covida 3000'. The Covida 3000 was a rare plant. It was the only plant in the island that caught his attention.

His other teammates crossed their fingers as Alexander was about to inject the vaccine into the animal's body.

While in his attempt of injecting, the building was shaking. The lights were flickering. The room was dimmed and did not radiate a sign of brightness. He decided to postpone the experiment and give precedence to the safety of his employees. "Quick, duck, cover, and hold, everyone!! Remember to take what is essential!! Tatiana, contact the Special Force team to rescue us with a helicopter!!

"Ahhhhhh!! What is happening??? Could it be an earthquake?" Rachel bombarded questions in a panic-stricken manner.

"Impossible! There won't be an earthquake here! The whole Science Inst.i.tute City is Earthquake proof! Our buildings can withstand until magnitude 13... could It be...that our kingdom surmounted the magnitude 13?" Tatiana replied. She was also curious about it, after all, so much has happened in just one day. 'I need to get my laptop and search for this matter. Maybe I should also put it in my report.'

The laboratory was in deep silence.

Suddenly, an unknown man appeared inside the laboratory. He had a long, straight white hair, he had a bronze skin tone that was an ideal skin for men. He wore a white long sleeve s.h.i.+rt with his four b.u.t.tons unb.u.t.toned which partly revealed his chest. He had an angelic face but a body of the devil. All the women in the laboratory were bedazzled at the sight of him. They tried their best in hiding their fascination and interrogate him instead.

Tatiana exclaimed furiously, "Who are you?! Explain!! Why were you able to get into the laboratory!"

"I am someone who you should not provoke." The man replied in a soft-spoken manner.

"What do you want? It would be best if you didn't hamper our affairs." They were extremely frightened of the stranger. He was calm when answering the questions which even made him more likely a huge threat. They didn't let their guards down. The other members observed him silently, while the others, started functioning their maneuvers and was ready to have a war anytime.

"Who brought you here? What do you want? Go straight to the point!" Tatiana continuously asked him. She was so frustrated with all his replies to the interrogation. 'I can't believe this man is giving us a huge headache. We didn't get any answers from him.' "Mr., are you a terrorist? Please state your intentions to us."

The man finally uttered a reply, "I am a messenger. I am here to tell you that you guys have a mission," The man ambled towards Alexander.

"What kind of mission? We are scientists, not spies!" Alexander couldn't take it anymore. The man made him heighten his anger. "Who are you? How did you barge into this lab?" He was curious just like his employees. 'How in the world this man barge into the lab? I checked the systems and found no signs of hacking. I also checked the surveillance cameras and there were no signs of him. The entrances and the exits of the laboratory were installed with facial recognition. He's a newbie and the systems would notify me if there's an intruder coming inside. (Sighs) Maybe I should strengthen the security network to forestall intruders entering the territory.'

"As soon as possible, you must leave the kingdom immediately," The man seriously said with a strong voice. Then the man added, "You must come with me right this instant." The man then offered his hand. "Please I am someone you could trust. There's no much time left. I came here with peace. I mean no harm. I beg you, please follow me!" the man hurriedly pleaded.

The people inside the laboratory had no choice but to follow him. He led the people to the mysterious smog. The people with him were terrified that they had gooseb.u.mps on their bodies. "Mr., are you perhaps a suicide bomber? Are you making us your targets? Why are you trying to kill us? We still have families and loved ones waiting for us to come back from work!" Rachel pleaded empathetically. Rachel wanted to gain sympathy from him so that he wouldn't be able to kill them.

The man emitted a reply, "I am not killing anyone. Just follow me." He led everyone as they pa.s.sed through the smog. As they went into the smog, the grey colors started fading and started changing into pink. Moments later, they saw no signs of smog anymore and they could see visibly the roads, cities, skysc.r.a.pers, and huge traffic.

"Are we in the Gravador era?" Tatiana asked.

"No, we're not," the man replied nonchalantly.

"Then, where are we?" Alexander asked as he was fascinated by this sudden climax. He didn't have a good night's sleep recently so; he asked his teammates to record it to see if it was true. He filmed the whole experience and recorded it in his diary. The kingdom of Diamond was full of lavish buildings and the country extremely idolized Diamonds. Every establishment in the kingdom was literally decorated with Diamonds. Even the doork.n.o.bs of the restrooms were decorated with Diamonds!! The Kingdom was a treasure and many countries wanted to invade it because it was abundant in Diamonds and oil. However, other countries weren't able to invade it because of the kingdom's vast military and trained soldiers. The kingdom was equipped with state-of-the-art nuclear weapons and other military weapons. It was normal for citizens of the kingdom to have diamonds in their backyard and in their houses. All citizens of the kingdom were treated with luxury and comfort. The Kingdom of Diamond was the richest country in the world and the largest country in terms of area. The Kingdom that they had seen in front of them held a simple and modest ambiance. It was simply skysc.r.a.pers. They were surprised that it didn't have Diamonds. It wasn't luxurious. No red carpets, no jewelry, no limousines, no Lobsters, no caviar, no truffles, no veal dishes, and rich chocolate desserts. The country had street foods, fast food chains, high-cla.s.s restaurants, and low-profile restaurants. There was obviously a caste system in the country. Back in the kingdom of Diamonds, all of the citizens were treated fairly. All of the people held immense wealth. It was just that there were honorable people than the others.

The man looked at Alexander and replied, "We're in the Kingdom of Ruby."
