BROKEN: Blacklisted 17 Not A Problem

It was a 20-minuter ride from New York to David's place which was to be expected in a nice and quiet location in Beverly Hills.

That's right I said Beverly Hills and that it was a 20-minute ride from my place in New York. In my old world taking a car from New York to L.A took 41 hours by car.

In this world, they actually managed to create a sub-underground system that works similar to trains but it works with cars.

It's called Velocity Transport or better known as V.T it got is the name for it is speed.

It's a simple concept that was even in the works back in my old world with Elon Musk attempting to something similar.

Everything is automated but there is a manual safety option taken into consideration which is the simple act of pressing down the breaks this was just in case the system malfunctioned and couldn't recognize danger.

The speed at which V.T is travelling is at 137 mph without stopping or any diversions gets us to our destination in under 20 from there David drove to the house.

The V.T can travel at 180 mph which is faster than the bullet train from my old world that travels at 177 mph.

If you want to use V.T you have to get your automobile modified to handle the pressure of travelling at such a dangerous speed

The only downside is that to take it you have to pay five thousand dollars and then you pay additional fees depending on the place you wish to get to.

The total price that David paid was $15,000. A terrifying amount of money used to just cross the country.

Yeah it's kinda obvious that it's only used by the wealthy though there have been talking about decreasing the price

*Gulp* As we park up outside David house I couldn't help swallow thinking of the outrageous price that this building must cost.

From the outside, it was a larger modernised white smart house with an open concept in a nice neighbourhood.

I'm not at all jealous, nope not one bit that they have such an up to date house. I like the old generation house's. It could be said that I'm envious of the idea of said money to buy this place.

"Wow Nice place, how much did you get it for," I ask while unbuckling me and Rose's seatbelts.

"It was originally priced at a price of 3.5 million but my wife haggled and brought it down to 2.6 million," Said David while stepping out of the car.

"That's really something. I didn't even know you could haggle a house" I said with shock being present in my tone.

I got out of the car with Rose and made a clone that went into the boot to get the two trays of lasagna.

I made another one to carry Icy in his container and the diaper bag. David and Lily lead us into their house.

Rose was not at all comfortable with the new change in scenery. She was brought up in an old home that was small and easy to get around.

Even I was feeling uncomfortable looking at the high ceilings, heated waxed hardwood flooring and white walls I can't help but feel like I need to watch my step.

I felt like I was dirtying the place with just my presence. I was out of place even Icy was feeling it as he backed up into his container and whimpered.

Then again that's normal for dogs especially a dog that is as young as him.

"Put your shoes on the shoe rack here and I'll show you around," Said David as he took off his shoes

I first took off Rose's shoes and then took mine off I also had my clones take theirs off.

"David is that you?!"Shouted a women voice from a distant room.

"Yeah, it's us. What you cooking?!" shouted David

"Mommy!" Shouted Lilly while desperately running down the corridor.

There wasn't a reply but the clear sound of utensils being dropped that was then followed by hurried steps that progressed into a loud run.

Out from a room on the other end of the corridor slim blond young and beautiful women stepped out wearing sweatpants, a white top and a strawberry print ap.r.o.n.

She swept Lily off her feet as she squeezed Lilly in her arms while kissing her face and checking her body she said "It's okay, mommy is here. You don't have to be scared. Did they hurt you?"

"No I'm okay but I was really scared, but Uncle Hero was like pew, pew, pew and then his clone came in with a pan and hit them in the head. Look, mom, this was what Uncle hero gave me isn't it cool" Said Lilly as she showed Samantha the drawing excitedly

Samantha nodded and picked up Lilly while walking towards us. David hugged her and said "It's okay don't be scared, I won't be going anywhere anytime soon"

Samantha gave a hard nod while a tear fell from her eyelids.

"Right so let me introduce you to Theo and his family," Said David as he turned back and pointed at us.

"This is Theodore Hunt and his daughter Rose Hunt with their cute little puppy Icy," Said David

"h.e.l.lo, it's nice to meet you," I said with my hand out for a handshake

Samantha didn't even hesitate as grabbed my hand with both hands and said "Thank you so much"

"You're very welcome Mrs Ken... " I said

"Call me Samantha or Sam and this must be Rose? h.e.l.lo," Said Samantha while looking at Rose

"h.e.l.lo," Said Rose before hiding herself in my chest.

I pat her on the back as Samantha walked up to my clone that holding Icy in his container and said "h.e.l.lo umm"

"Ah that's my clone and so is the other one. Icy be nice," I said realise she may have thought that we were triplets.

"Woof" Barked Icy happily.

"h.e.l.lo Icy, is it okay if hold him," Said, Samantha

"Yeah sure just lift the latch on the side and the gate should open. Icy be nice and no licking," I said

I was fairly confident that my taming skill made it so that it won't go wild after being released by someone else.

Samantha opened the cage and picked up Icy. She proceeded to lift him and play with him in her arms.

"Let's go sit down in the playroom," Said David as he leads us.

"I still have to finish up the desert," Said Samantha while pa.s.sing the dog back to my clone.

Before she could leave I call out and say "Samantha wait, I didn't want to turn up empty-handed its no bottle of wine but here are two trays of lasagna"

A clone steps forward holding two trays covered in tin foil.

"Lasagna!" Said, Lily and David excitedly

"A little more excited than I thought," I said with a funny

"These two have a lasagna problem," Said Samantha with an awkward smile

"It's not a problem, tell them dad" Said Lilly with a sparkle in her eyes.

"It's a blessing bestowed upon us by the great people of Italy. Nothing else can compare apart from ramen" Said David pa.s.sionately

"Yeah but did you forget what happened at that Italian restaurant," Said Samantha

"That was not an Italian restaurant" Said David

"Yeah, no lasagna means it's not Italian," Said Lily backing her dad's claims

"That's fine but did you have constantly complain to the staff and to the customers about it?" Said, Samantha in a disappointed tone

"Most definitely," Said David and Lily with a hard nod.

Watching their little interactions actually made me envious and even think about my family. But shook those thoughts away as what I have now is more important.

"Well you got lucky today but this is the only Lasagna for the rest of the week. Thank you, Theo" Said, Samantha before leaving with the two trays

"Uncle Hero should come more often," Said Lily while grabbing my hand.

I smile and look at Rose who was starting to get use the new scenery and ask "Do you want to walk Rose?"

Rose looked at me and hesitated before saying "Yes, walk"

I put Rose down on the floor and then had my clone put Icy down.

Rose was walk in next to me with Icy in front of her and Lily on the other end trying to talk to Rose.

"I have loads of toy that you gonna love and even more costumes to play pretend with" Said Lily while Rose's just started at her.

We got to the playroom which was a very colourful room that had a soft play area in the corner, and a lot of toys with kids chairs and tables.

We sat on the couch that was nearby as Rose is dragged away with Lily and Icy to play.

"House, two beers," Said David

From the corridor, a small robot appeared with a metal tray on its head. On the tray were to gla.s.s bottles.

David opened a bottle using a little bottle opener that came with the tray and pa.s.sed it to me. He opens one for himself.

"So shall I start with my story and then you go?" Said David as he took a sip of his drink.

"That's how it works from what I remember," I said while also taking a sip.

It had been three years since I had a beer and tasting it now I find it hard to remember what was good about.

It's tasted actual p.i.s.s what was about beer that makes everyone including myself love it.

"David, stop using the FridgeBot you're getting too lazy" Shouted Samantha

"Sorry, just wanted to get Theo something," Said David

"Fine but you need to start exercising again," Said Samantha

"Okay I'll do that" Shouted David

Samantha replied "Good"

"So where should I start?" Said David before he took a long sip from his beer.
